I don't even judge Taylor for leaving if she found the situation unsatisfying in any way, like I did that in my own life and I didn't even have anywhere else to go afterwards, but I think trying to twist it into him being a villian or a cheat or a bad person when that is clearly not the story is just dishonest and distasteful and that's me saying it, someone who had to quit someone else because the connections weren't connecting anymore either and both our mental health problems blowing up at the same time a little too. I don't have bad feelings towards them either. Relationships are fragile and so are connections. So I beg people make the songs apply to themselves or their pets or their blorbo's or their friends or their co workers or their hobbies or the own writings or their sewing or their creative impulses or et cetera et al

VERY well said!!! How each of them process their relationship is not our business, and it is so important that we engage with art without completely relying on the artist's life to guide our interpretation of it
