Small hands were firmly placed on Obitos cheeks and the young boy huffed, sitting on the Uchihas lap with a determined expression. "I don't think you look scary, 'ttebayo... I think you look cool!" He suddenly said and flashed the older male a toothy grin, a reddish tinge adorning his round whiskered cheeks. "They're all jealous because I have the best brother ever!" He added and laughed before leaning upwards to press a kiss on Obitos right cheek. "Love you, Obi-Nii-Chan.." Naruto whispered.

      he doesn´t think that he´ll ever really grow accustomed to naruto ;; that there will ever be a day where he won´t find himself surprised by the kid and honestly ? he wouldn´t have it any other way. it´s not like he was self conscious about his appearance, those days have long since passed -no, he´d been more concerned for the little boy in front of him, fearing that maybe he might be shunned more than he already was for being seen with him. he knows pretty well how cruel children can be after all;;; it was pretty stupid in hindsight however, wasn´t it ? naruto really was the kid of those two, huh ? 

he was a far cry from being ;; well, from being a parent - way too young & way too experienced in taking lifes rather than raising one ;;; he was clueless & still had much to learn - but looking at that small round face and radiant smile; he can´t help himself but think that it´s going to be alright. 

lips twitching upwards in a soft smile he extends his hand to ruffle through golden blonde hair, letting it linger for a moment before returning the sentiment full heartedly. “ love you too, naruto. “

Kakashi makes a beeline for the couch the moment he gets home and (unfortunately for Obito, who just happens to be lounging there) flops onto his housemate's back with the softest groan of exhaustion. "Mentoring a bunch of genin brats is like an S-rank mission on its own."

        obito huffs out a groan at the unexpected weight flopping onto him, pressing him face first into the cushions of the couch which suddenly seemed so much more uncomfortable from up so close. if he weren´t so exhausted from his own actual s rank he´d probably have thrown kakashi off the couch for that- at least that´s what he tells himself. instead he just wriggles around a bit until he´s comfortable again and his face isn´t pressed into the cushions anymore
