have any of our dear, wonderful, fantastic CS OUAT authors switched over to writing ACOTAR? I want to read some stories about Rhys and Fayre and would love to start with people whose work we already know is good.

Or do I need to start writing it myself?

If you’re not in a good place mentally due to pandemic what could people do to help you feel better? What could your friends say or do to help you get through this? 

My basic personality makes me completely suited for pandemic, and I am perfectly fine, but I know my friends are just about to fall apart. I feel powerless to help.

Okay - I’m sure this won’t be new to any real Discovery of Witches fans, but I was re-reading book two and decided to look at examples of Nicholas Hilliard’s work, and came across these two portraits. They’re exactly what Deborah Harkness describes in the books. I love that she used real art as references so often.

I’m having a hard time with the pacing though. They’ve had to cut so much out from the books. We’re getting short changed on some things I really enjoyed. Especially Gallowglass.

In Bridgerton - episode one- why is Daphne’s back bleeding when they fasten her dress.

FYI - I’ve finished the whole season and just went and bought all the books. Can’t wait to start them.

You know what would be a good Ted Lasso fanfic?

Slight canon divergence where Keeley bids on Roy at the charity auction and they go out on the date.

He tries to be gruff and tough but can’t help but enjoy himself because Keeley is just that great.

I’m trying to puzzle out whether Jamie is part of the equation or if it works better as more of an AU.

I hate my brain.

It’s such a dismal year for so many of us, and a lot of us are also spending the holidays alone at home. I’ve joined pen pal groups, and getting an actual physical piece of mail is such a nice treat! 

So.... If you want a holiday card send me an Ask with your name and address and I’ll get it in the mail! (If you want a non-christmas specific card, please let me know. I’ve got those too!) 

Hopefully this will bring a tiny bit of cheer in a crummy year! .

Y’all ... did you know there’s no Ted Lasso* fanfic on FF dot net? I’m working really hard to keep myself from searching here or on AO3. Because if I search there and find it... I’m going to read it. If I search and I don’t find it... I’m going to need to write it. And I don’t want anything to get in the way of my NaNoWriMo book.

As a side note I hit 20k words today. I mean, that’s 5000 less than what I should have but still, that’s 20k words. All from my own brain , not using CS as a starting point. I’m so proud of myself.

(And also a little discouraged because apparently most romance books are 80k words and OMG that means I still have so much further to go.)

Y’all. I am LOVING this book. A fic writer goes out with the star of the show she writes about! This is fun. Highly recommend it to anyone, but fic writers especially will find it delightful.

I checked into tumblr and have seen your gifs and I think I might go back and finish Lucifer. 

Also, I would like additonal Matthew Goode content. Maybe some good Mary/Henry Downton FF? Or some AU ADOW FF.  

I want a new obsession. I’m due for one about now.

I think we can all agree that the payoff scene (both book and mini-series) for North and South is too short. They basically acknowledge each other and then BAM, never to hear further of what happened.

So has anyone ever written a follow up scene where John brings Margaret home to Mrs. Thornton and she’s like, “hi, new daughter-in-law who I kind of like but didn’t want to admit it, and then hated because you turned my son down, but now definitely like because you’ve acknowledged he’s worthy and saved his mill. Welcome into our house where you and I are definitely going to do battle, but I’ll cave because you make my son happy and he’s the only thing I care about in this world. Oh, yeah, I have a daughter but I like you better. Anyway, welcome home.”
