so excited that ive figured out how to inject some whimsy into something i originally conceptualized as middle grade then started to worry that it wasnt gonna be able to be middle grade but then i figured out the whimsy so i think its good

#i normally wouldnt care about that but honestly i love middle grade fantasy so i want to make a middle grade fantasy #how did i get the whimsy? i decided ''The Wizard [name]'' is a good title+named the antagonist ''The Foul Wizard Dorian'' and also some fun #worldbuilding that is actually pretty grim but i think. in a whimsical way. #also it goes along with something else i was working on thats Not a middle grade where i think the more grim aspects of it will be more #delved into. also the whimsy comes from the format i think. idk. ill know for sure once i figure out what happens in the actual story and #not just the backstory #also need to get on actually naming the main character <-in hell

ive been working on some stuff and im definitely noticing patterns in my writing. surely the fact that my main characters are all interested in academic fields but unable to pursue them due to their own inability to keep up with or otherwise handle them says nothing about me and my own insecurities. also i love it when theres a guy using another guy as a vessel to escape death 👍

#these are main characters in different things i would not have all the characters in the same thing have the same problems #well actually my newest main character who doesnt have a name yet doesnt fall into this . yaaay unnamed girl go live your dreams #now that ive posted this watch me disappear for weeks again

Popping in just to say it's such a good thing for my little fictional universe that the gods don't actually have the scope of power gods usually have because they are NOT good decisions makers . Like I think Ayla might have caused the sixth mass extinction event if she was given any more power than she already had

But they did also only live for less than 100 years #Then again Kieran didn't even get to become a full god and she's made plenty of incredibly bad decisions #ocposting #Poor Arlo she's literally so normal and still she has to deal with these nightmare people #I say that but she mainly has to deal with Raisa and he's literally the most easy going person on planet earth #Except for that one thing he did.
