Yoda’s teaching on emotions in Episode V is simple and explicit: do not draw your strength from anger, fear and aggression, because they energize you easily and quickly, but they also kick you out of the driver’s seat and they will lead you to a place where you’re doing evil things, like Darth Vader. If you give in to them once, that will leave a permanent mark around which your future will unfold. In order to discern the currents of strength that are the energies of anger, fear and aggression within you, bring yourself into a peaceful, calm and non-reactive, i.e. passive state. This is what Luke fails to do in the cave, when he faces with his own fear, anger and aggression in the form of Darth Vader. And this is what he becomes a master of in Episode VI, when he manages not to give in to his dark parts, and choose compassion, selflessness, kindness and hope instead of fear, anger, aggression and hatred, and becomes a Jedi Knight. He faced Darth Vader - both within and without - and truly won the fight.

the way the clones and the Jedi’s cultures became so intertwined always gets me so teary.

Airo was literally the youngest of young for soldiers (he’d been named for a grand total of one day), and his dying words are still a Jedi / Force saying.

he didn’t have to spend years upon years with Obi-Wan for the Force- for the Jedi- to mean something to him. it just did. naturally. because he heard what the clones said about Obi-Wan and the Jedi and he trusted them and it wasn’t just him.

they all trusted and loved their generals, and the Jedi trusted and loved them in return. and that’s why Order 66 is SO deeply gutting

So anakin teaches Cody how to carve wood and Cody makes the engagement ring lojack for obi wan, but he doesnt stop there.

He makes a bead earring for rex with a tiny piece of beskar in it and his little brother almost cries.

He makes viking bracelets for his batchmates and they all wear them proudly, even displaying them for pictures.

He makes a carved amulet for ashoka's headband with the togruta symbol for resilience. She wears it always.

He makes a pendant for anakin with twin suns in it and angel wings, and the kid hugs him for ten minutes.

Everyone is amazed and touched by these gifts. Cody feels proud of them

He puts trackers in every single one.

Finally got that lineart done for LOUD. Cody! Since it’s cyberpunk, the battalion number is shown on a screen, as is the general status of the clone inside the armor. As there is “deployed”, “alive”, “critical”, “dead”, and, to Cody’s puzzlement, “activated”.

More Vaderwan fallout au!!!

Anakin is courier 5, after making it half way to sandy springs, Benny (paid by Sidious) got to drop on our favorite hero. But Anakin was left right outside the big MT.

The think tank was over joyed to have a new lobotomies. Limbs, spine, heart and brain were removed and mostly replaced. (Anakin won his brain back! Brain wasn’t to happy) skin was removed and replaced with a new…better…skin.

Think tank, shocked that Anakin was able to make a recovery from the experiments. Where won over by Vaders clever words and ideas from a screaming violent toaster.

Now the think tank works for Vader, the big MT? His palace.

…..once Vader captures Obi-Wan?

Vader and his brain made up and agreed, the Obi-Wan needed to stay.

Also Obi-Wan gets one of those blue halos.

I’ve been wanting to draw something from @glimmerglanger‘s incredible Codywan AU fic, “Flotsam and Jetsam” since chapter 2. I knew I wanted to do something with Cody’s bioluminescent spots, because, like, how could my magpie brain possibly resist something shiny like that? But that meant the scene had to be in the evening or at night, and at first I thought about doing something in the bathtub, but that didn’t grab me. So I sat on the idea for weeks, until I happened to see a photo of a redhead in front of a sunset and their hair was just on fire (UwU symbolism). And I was like, “YES THIS.”

So I went with a sunset tide pool scene, which required a whole lot of reference photos, including some I took myself, with a laser pointer aiming into a sink of water, then turned blue in photoshop, haha. Between the reflections on the water, the back lighting from the sunset, the rock textures, and the glow from Cody’s bioluminescence, my brain definitely broke a few times, but it was a ton of fun to experiment with all this.

For the @codywanfirstkissbingo, I had "butterfly kiss" on my card.

I wanted to do a close up of lashes brushing against cheek but it was a nightmare and it ate all my remaining time until the deadline.

I turned it on its head later on by... putting in butterflies 😆

i will say. even before shmi was tortured to death, even if you don't process the harsh slave labor or literal implanted explosive device to keep her from running away, shmi is a body horror character because her pregnancy is not consensual. obviously lucas is recalling mary and her immaculate conception but mary was TOLD what was going to happen. she was told she was carrying the child of the lord. that is an essential part of the story. and shmi was not!! she just woke up one day and was pregnant. she didn't know anything about the force. she probably knew next to nothing about pregnancy. she had to carry and give birth in the unimaginable conditions of slavery, with no idea what was happening to her . that's the kind of fear i don't think could ever be tackled properly in a kids movie (esp with it's real world parallels) but that it's not even discussed in fandom is unfortunate
