I found this one at Have Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The illustrations and variances in the pages are what caught my eye and quickly convinced me to buy it. I didn't have a clue what it was about, it was simply an impulse buy because of its cuteness.

When I dove into it I was stunned by the story telling. The author, Kate Larson, has Multiple Sclerosis and describes the events of discovering she has the disease. She moves from confused to angry through imagery and vivid recollection. 

Kate's story gave me understanding for the potential symptoms of MS and the difficulty those who have the disease go through. This was unexpected and very welcome, my boyfriend's mother has MS and I never quite understood what that entailed. I do now!

Since Denmark is my favorite place on the planet, it was the quickest decision I have ever made to spend £5.00 «$7.84», but really, I'd buy any zine this woman illustrates. With a charming mix of line drawings and watercolors, Lizzy highlights some of the best bits of Copenhagen, and a bonus bit of Malmö! This is everything I want in a zine, it's nostalgic, it's short, and it's sweet.

Also! In with my order came a complimentary print of one of her watercolors that is adorable!

Five Days in Copenhagen is one of six intriguing travel zines Lizzy has done, among several other zines. They're all cute, consistent, and worth the few bucks to support a great artist.
