We really need to learn what an AI photo looks like, I just found several baking blogs where everything was AI generated and all the comments were saying the recipes didn’t make sense or they couldn’t find them, yeah cause this is a fake blog full of fake recipes.
Look for a blurry background, AI almost always blurs whatever is behind the main object. Also look if the item seems too perfect, would a real blueberry be so perfectly round and blue? Think about what it looks like when you take a photo of something. In food pics a blurry fork also is a good giveaway, how many blurry fork pics have you ever seen? Anyway, AI stinks and it can’t make a good cake recipe

For all of my US followers for whom general public official election day is coming up (Nov. 7th) PLEASE do not become so disillusioned with the current state of higher power politicians that you skip out on voting for local offices; off year and local elections are already critically unemphasized but these are the people who have the most direct power over jails, police, school curriculum, etc. Do not let your grief be weaponized as a distraction from also continuing to fight police brutality, queer and bipoc censorship in schools, bodily autonomy, housing inequality, etc, on the smaller scale battlefields where every vote truly does count

I love the energy I see here for the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and I really hope everyone (fellow denizens of the U.S.) keep it up if/when the strike against UPS starts. That strike is way more likely to affect you (fellow denizens of the U.S.) personally, and you’ll hear a ton of shit from people offline about how the Teamsters are being selfish/cruel etc. The people who deliver our shit are just as important as the writers & actors and they deserve fair pay and good working conditions.

Time to donate to the entertainment community fund! I can’t get executives to stop believing you should be turned out of your homes but I can help somebody pay their rent another month and keep striking
Hollywood Studios’ WGA Strike Endgame Is To Let Writers Go Broke Before Resuming Talks In Fall
Regardless of whether SAG-AFTRA goes on strike this week, the studios have no intention of sitting down with the Writers Guild for several more months.
“I think we’re in for a long strike, and they’re going to let it bleed out,” said one industry veteran intimate with the POV of studio CEOs.
While some dismiss this as just “cynical strike talk,” studio and streamer sources around town confirm the strategy. They also confirm that the plan to grind down the guild has long been in the works for a labor cycle that all sides agree is a game-changer one way or another for Hollywood.
“It’s been agreed to for months, even before the WGA went out,” one executive said. “Nobody wanted a strike, but everybody knew this was make or break.”
Receiving positive feedback from Wall Street since the WGA went on strike May 2, Warner Bros Discovery, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Paramount and others have become determined to “break the WGA,” as one studio exec blatantly put it.
To do so, the studios and the AMPTP believe that by October most writers will be running out of money after five months on the picket lines and no work.
“The endgame is to allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses,” a studio executive told Deadline. Acknowledging the cold-as-ice approach, several other sources reiterated the statement. One insider called it “a cruel but necessary evil.”
The studios and streamers’ next think financially strapped writers would go to WGA leadership and demand they restart talks before what could be a very cold Christmas. In that context, the studios and streamers feel they would be in a position to dictate most of the terms of any possible deal.
