I still exist on this account. It's been... A time. And I honestly haven't had the energy or motivation to write in a really long time. But I want to try to be better about that. I don't know how much I'll share, since I'll be handwriting most things, but with a new laptop in my future, maybe I can actually be more... Active? Weird word to use for my own writing activity, but...
Anyway, I'm going to spend some time rereading my old things and rediscovering all the things that made me so excited to think about. I think I need it

Ask Game
Let’s have some fun!
The only rule is, if you reblog this from somewhere other than the main summerfest blog, you must send in an ask! it’s only fair!
__________________
1) “But… where’s the other bed?”
2) “I can explain.”
3) “There’s no way I can share a room with you all summer.”
4) “It’s storming out. Let me stay a little longer?”
5) “How did you guys meet?”
6) “I think you can do better than that.”
7) “Things didn’t used to be like this. What happened?”
8) “I can’t keep doing this.”
9) “Why are there lights up?”
10) “No. There’s no way you believe that’s real.”

A dragon who decides to hoard mint and various types of mint plants (and not knowing that mint has the mushroom’s blessing of inevitability were ever its planted) can go one of two ways.
1: The dragon is absolutely horrified as the mint engulfs and takes over its den. Its gold? Mint. Its gems and goblets? Mint. Its stores of wine? Mint. No matter what they do they can’t get rid of it.
2: The dragon is delightfully ecstatic as the mint engulfs and takes over its den. It’s a self growing hoard. No matter what any adventurers or knights do, they can’t get rid of it.

Ooo 6 for the gesture prompts !
I was going to do this last night, but things happened and I fell asleep; I'm sorry! But here goes! I'll toss it under a Read More to keep things small!
6. Putting your hand on your lover's chest as they doze peacefully into the couch arm, focusing on the subtle beat of their heart on your hand.
Looking up from her book to discover that the sun was about to rise was nothing new. However, hearing quiet breathing from the couch next to her was still something Acheflow was getting used to.
Tiptoeing over, Acheflow tugged a blanket over Tobias before crouching in front of him with a nearly inaudible sigh. Unused to seeing the man so unaware and still, Acheflow took advantage of the moment, observing him as he slept peacefully on.
Almost like he's making up for lost time. It wasn't as if he'd slept much during their travels, insisting on keeping watch even when others were awake too.
Hesitantly, Acheflow placed her hand on his chest, part of her still waiting for the nauseating feeling of the future rushing through her mind. But there was nothing but the steady beat of his heart, a light pumping through the skin that immediately took all her attention.
It was almost hypnotic, the warmth of his skin and the consistent beat under her hand; she was still getting used to being able to touch someone, but it had already proven addicting. While she would never allow herself to be so obvious with him awake, it was so much harder to resist temptation when there was no one to see her acting so weak and childish.
Acheflow was so focused, she nearly jumped out of her skin when Tobias shifted, his hand covering hers on his chest as he grinned, eyes opening slowly.
"Hello beautiful," he murmured, not bothered when Acheflow scowled at him. "Been awake long?"
"...Yes. Want some breakfast?"
"Not right now." Too quickly for her to stop him, Tobias tugged her down with him on the couch, loosely wrapping his arms around her to make sure she didn't fall. "You didn't sleep at all, did you? Take a couple minutes to relax."
"That's what the book was for." Still, she rested her head in the crook of his neck, her hand still resting over his heart as Tobias tugged the blanket over them both. Comforted by the silence, the gentle ba-bump ba-bump under her fingers easily lulled Acheflow to sleep, still marveling over the novelty of the sensation.

Meaningful Gestures Prompts
Welcome to my side-prompt blog! Ask me anything from writing, to prompt requests, and even join my discord where I can be frequently found!
Smoothing your fingers down your lover's tie, fixing where your lover couldn't tie it right.
Brushing your lover's waist/shoulder as they pass.
Instinctively pressing your hands against your lover's cheek as they passionately rave, only for them to stop talking and gape, completely distracted by the lack of distance.
Hooking your ankles together underneath the table.
Linking your hands together as you walk through school/a building/the streets--finger rubbing over your lover's knuckles softly.
Putting your hand on your lover's chest as they doze peacefully into the couch arm, focusing on the subtle beat of their heart on your hand.
Unflinchingly settling your head into your lover's lap while they watch television/are reading a book/doing their favorite hobby. Then asking your lover to explain what's going on/what they're doing.
On a whim, pulling your lover into an alley and pressing your lips firmly against theirs, getting lost in each other's touch while the streets bustle outside.
Holding your jacket over your lover's head as they hide from the rain, finding their formal outfit more important than your casual wear.
Whispering jokes/loving words in a lecture/school/church/a meeting. Trying not to laugh/flirt back in fear of disturbing everyone else who's trying to pay attention.
Putting your hand on your lover's thigh and feeling their eyes on you as they try to figure out your motives. Whether the touch is teasing or just for fun.
Mapping out your lover's features while they sleep in your arm, smoothing your thumbs down their cheeks, throat, collarbones, chin and nose.
Hooking a thumb into your lover's belt loop/pocket as a crowd surrounds you, making sure that you don't lose them in the people.
Pressing tiny kisses against your lover's shoulder while they're bent over a desk, trying to focus even though your touch is distracting them.
Wrapping your arms around your lover's waist and pressing your forehead against their back/resting on their shoulder, swaying to music only the two of you can hear.
At your lover's complaining, rubbing a spot where they ache, smiling as they lean into your touch and melt at both the touch and warmth.
Standing still as your lover rubs smudged lipstick/lipstick stains off of your skin, catching them off guard by pressing a kiss against their fingertip.
Pushing your lover against a wall after one too many teasing comments, but being met with unsaid tension instead of the quiet. Both of you unable to continue with the jokes.
After coming home from work/a long trip, finding your lover sobbing on the couch/in bed after a hard day, wiping away their tears with soft touches and gentle words--trying to convince them it's okay, and that you're there for them now.
Softly resting a hand on your lover's shoulder as they face something more difficult than ever, not bothering to exchange words as the touch does it all the same. You've got this in the bag.
Having your lover list everything they're insecure about, and responding with gentle caresses, kisses, and compliments about those areas.
While someone demeans your lover, standing up for them. Either in word, or by physically placing yourself right in front of them as a protective barrier.
Carding your fingers through your lover's hair after a bad nightmare, not caring that it's sweaty or matted, but just that they'll be able to get a good night's sleep, even if it's at the sacrifice of your own.
Protecting your lover's sleep as they doze on your lap, making sure nobody bothers them as they entrusted their peace to you.
Reading up on the things your lover enjoys so that when they talk about them, you'll understand a little better and be able to hold a conversation.
Tracing invisible shapes on your lover's skin as they're busy doing something stressful, keeping their attention half on what they're doing, and half on you.
Very softly placing butterfly kisses on your lover's skin up the length of their arm, either stopping at their neck, or drifting back down to their pulse point.
Reassurance in the form of food/movies/games, forcing them to take a second away and relax with you.
Not accepting that it's time to start the day, and pinning them onto the mattress with either your whole body, a leg, or more risque touches.
Visiting them at work, either with lunch, or just to spend the afternoon with them as they try to get things done. Whether they actually get things done, or thing devolve into flirting/romantic gestures is up to you.
DIALOGUE
"Hold on, let me fix this for you."
"God, you look so good."
"I'm... uh, dammit, your lips are so distracting. Are you doing this on purpose?"
"Your hands are always so warm."
"Be real with me, love. Do you really care about what I'm doing, or do you just want me to talk you to sleep?"
"If we get caught kissing in a small, dark, kind of shady alleyway, it's on you."
"Couldn't you wait to kiss me at home?"
"Please, I don't want the rain getting both of us sick. I volunteer to be tribute--take my jacket."
"Stop, stop! We're going to get in trouble, and I refuse to be yelled at because of you!"
"I am trusting you with that hand, darling. I hope my trust isn't misplaced."
"I promise I'll stay close."
"You know, I am trying to focus... but I can't deny that it doesn't feel good. Keep going, please."
"Take a small break, for me?"
"Never thought I'd have someone to sway with me in the kitchen... I'm glad I was wrong."
"You have lipstick on your cheek, here let me-- oh."
"I-- you-- where we we?"
"Kiss me, please."
"It's going to be okay, I promise."
"Let yourself cry, I'm here now. You're safe."
"You may think differently, but I love this about you."
"Every part, no matter how you feel, is amazing to me. I could spend all day explaining everything I love about you."
"You want to get to them, you go through me."
"Don't worry, I'll keep you safe."
"They're just a jerk, why don't we just go somewhere else?"
"I won't let them put their hands on you."
"I'm right here; I won't leave your side. Go back to sleep, darling."
"C'mere, I don't mind letting you sleep on me."
"Hey, leave them alone. They just fell asleep."
"Don't you dare wake them up."
"Wow, you really did your research, huh? That's amazing..."
"Next time, we can talk more about--"
"You know, you make these kinds of things not so painful, so thank you."
"Hmm... I don't whether to appreciate or complain that you're distracting me."
"I love how your pulse races for me..."
"Do I make your heart jump?"
"Come on, watch this movie with me. I promise it won't be as bad as the previous one."
"I bought this really cool game. Come and play it with me?"
"Hey, I got some food. Why don't we go eat in the kitchen for once?"
"Hrmg, I'm not moving. Don't make me."
"It's far too early for this..."
"Please, we need to get up."
"Touch me again, and I'm pushing you off the bed."
"I'm staying here, and I'm not moving. I do not care about your empty threats! Hey-- wait-- what are you doing?"
"I bought two sandwiches... by total accident, of course. Thought I might come give one of them to you, and maybe while I'm here spend some time with you, hm?"
"This... isn't doing work. But I don't think I mind."
"Thank you for joining me, love."

In the Death’s Eyes Universe, plants are a fun thing! There are these little white flowers on black stems/vines (I’m admittedly not sure what to call them) that grow mainly in graveyards, or you might find them deep in ruins if you’re exploring outside of cities!
They were created by Arione, the Goddess of Love and Marriage in that world, so to mortals, the flowers have become known as a symbol of love that would survive even death. In reality, they were created as a sign of affection for her brother Thearial (The God of Death and Mortal Judgement), and the flowers do survive and even thrive in the realm of the dead!
Worldbuilding Wed 5/25
Happy Wednesday, Worldbuilders! This week, I wanna talk about plants! Big or small, give me a plant fact (my blackberry bush is putting out flowers and I'm stupid excited about it, so its all plants all the time in the Raevenly brain). Do folks keep them indoors as decor, or maybe even for practical uses? Are there poisonous, sentient, or otherwise problematic plants in the wilds? Is your world a desolate wasteland, with every scrap of green being treasured? Tell me all about :D
This is an open ask, for anyone to answer! For more open worldbuilding prompts, be sure to check out @worldbuildingwedasks

Storyline Swap again!! (I’m having too much fun with this) If your OC’s from the Villain’s Intern and the Frog Prince were in the Death’s Eyes universe, what deity would they be? What would they be the god/goddess of?
I know Acheflow’s already in the Death’s Eyes universe, but if she were a goddess, who would she be? I can’t decide if Acheflow would be the Goddess of Death (because of her spooky death vision) or the Goddess of Knowledge and Prophecies (like Imrasil) because she loves libraries and can technically see death-related futures.
Scarlet I’m thinking would be the Goddess of the Hunt and the Wild, like Kadalon. With like,,,a sick-ass entourage of wolves that she rides into war. Rad.
And maybe Aria would the Goddess of Land and Skies, because of her gravity-control? Ooh, and since Rosita has super speed, she could be the Goddess of Trade and Travels, since she travels super fast. Can’t think of anything else rn lol.
You have the greatest questions and these are so much fun! Okay, I'll throw this under a Read More to keep things small!
Acheflow would likely be a Goddess of Forewarning and Inevitability; you may not be able to prevent what she sees, but at least she warns you it's coming? (Although she would likely be more closely connected to Imrasil, like she considers herself in the story). I feel more details on Tobias would lead to *SPOILERS* so... haha, Lou is also harder to decide, because they are actually (unknowingly) a champion for one of the gods themselves. Lou just thinks they've been extraordinarily lucky, not that they've been blessed.
Scarlet would probably end up as the Goddess of Freedom and... something else. I feel Scarlet and Lou could share the classification for "of Exploration" with each other though, so that's a possibility! Gwendolyn would be the Goddess of Connection and Transformation (in more ways than one), while Theodore would be the God of Growth and Change, but unlike Malrix, his powers would be focused on personal change rather than plants! Rhianwyn would be the Goddess of Protections and Familial Blessings, but family blessings can so easily become twisted and venomous, can't they? Roland is an enigma that isn't a god, but somehow, he's friends with lots and is immortal, so no one knows what's up with him.
Alba and Aoife likely would become minor goddesses through a different way, so they would get classifications much later, once they became an established part of the world. (Lou would also fit here, age-wise).
Aria would likely be the Goddess of Duplicity and Passions; she's never the type to hold back from what she loves after all, and her nature as a villain leads her to a double-life already! Rosita would be the Goddess of Momness; joking, but she is the mom friend of the villains, and also just a mom, so... Hmm, very likely, she would become a Goddess of Lock and Key (or something much less terrible-sounding). Rosita is the one who creates the most for their covers, and nobody learns anything or gets in without her knowing it... and accepting it.
Violet would be a Goddess of Justice and Victory; Reasoning: she is kicked out of her internship for standing up against bullies (although they team up to make her story seem like lies, so... no justice for her there, is there?) and from that point on, Violet is much more determined to get victory for herself at all costs.

Conlanging for cheaters
quick tips for creating fantasy language(s) that look believable if you squint
Pick a few rules about what letter/sound combinations can and cannot exist (or are common/uncommon). For example, in English, "sp" or "st" can begin a word, but in Spanish they can't. The "ng" sound (or the voiced velar nasal if you want to get technical), can't appear at the beginning of a syllable in English, but it can in at least of third of languages around the world. English allows for consonant clusters (more than one consonant together without a vowel), but some languages, such as Hawaiian, don't. Picking a few distinctive rules that are different from English or the language you are writing in, and sticking to them, will yield a lot better results than just keysmashing.
Assign meaning to a few suffixes, prefixes, or roots. A simple and useful example of this is making up a particle that means -land or -city or -town, and tacking it onto your appropriate place names. You could also have a particle with a similar meaning to the "er/or one we have in English, such as in "baker," "singer," or "operator," and then incorporate it in your fantasy titles or professions. It's like an Easter egg for careful readers to figure out, and it will make your language/world feel more cohesive.
Focus on places and names. You usually don't need to write full sentences/paragraphs in your conlang. What you might want to do with it is name things. The flavor of your language will seep in from the background, with the added benefit of giving readers some hints on background lore. For example, you could have a conlang that corresponds to a certain group of people, and a character with a corresponding name could then be coded as being from that group without having to specify. A human-inhabited city with an elven-sounding name might imply that it was previously inhabited by elves.
You don't have to know what everything means. Unless you are Linguistics Georg R. R. Tolkien, you probably don't want to (and shouldn't!) actually make up a whole language. So stick some letters together (following your linguistic rules, of course) and save fretting over grammar and definitions for the important stuff.
(Bonus) This isn't technically conlanging, but it can be fun to make up an idiom or two for your fantasy culture (just in English or whatevs) and sprinkle that in a few times. The right made-up idiom can allude to much larger cultural elements without you having to actually explain it.
Congrats! You now have a conlang you can dust over your wip like an appropriate amount of glitter. Conlangs can be intimidating, just because there's so much you can do, but that doesn't mean you have to do it all. So yeah anyway here's what I would recommend; hope y'all have fun :D

Worldbuilding stuff:
If your story has an idle nobility class, their culture shouldn't just be different from the general population, it should be an over-the-top caricature of the common folks' culture. Whatever the population generally agrees is ideal, fair, admirable, or good, the nobility will take into stupid extremes.
Contrary to the beliefs of many, people are actually not at all happy when they're idle - a person with no assigned task or duty will go out of their way to come up with one. And all around the world, whenever there's been an upper class with nothing to do, they've started to compete with each other over stupid shit, but always stupid shit that the culture they live in considers positive qualities.
From the noblemen in Europe challenging each other to a possibly lethal duel over insulting someone's hat, to a Chinese noblewoman being moved to tears by the beauty of someone's calligraphy, bored elites everywhere have always wanted to outdo each other in their expressions of possessing all the noble traits that this culture in particular holds in value.
You can, and should, use this as a way to highlight what the actual values of this society is. In a setting where being religious is held as an admirable trait, there is nobility coming up with new ways to one-up each other in their expressions of worship. Society that values art and music will have them competing over who hires the most artists, and who employs the most talented musicians. Aggressive, war-like people will have fuels to the fucking death over a stupid hat.
Literally anything can be competed in, and bored people with far too much time and money in their hands will become competitive over the most ridiculous things. This isn't just an useful tool in worldbuilding, but also a fun one.

Storyline Swap! If your OC’s from Death’s Eyes and Frog Prince were in the Villain’s Intern universe, what superpowers would they have?
I guess the characters that already have powers (like Acheflow with her death-vision and Gwen with her magic) would retain their original powers, but what would your non-powered OC’s have?
Maybe Toshiko would have a power that ties into her thieving ways, like invisibility, shadow-travel, camouflage, shape-shifting, or illusions? Or maybe Theodore would get shape-shifting, but only into animals (frogs are his go-to).
I imagine Aoife would have teleportation, because I love to imagine baby Aoife getting into all sorts of trouble at the castle. Teleportation would stress out her caretakers the most - they’ll have to chase her down and search for her on rooftops and washing machines, because she loves weaselling herself into places she shouldn’t be. An alternative power would be invincibility - it’d be useful since she keeps climbing castle walls and getting herself into precarious situations.
I’m curious to see your takes on all your other characters!
Ooh, this is a very fun question! I'll throw it under a Read More to keep things small!
I like to give all their powers some kind of weakness or drawback, because I think it makes things a little more fun! Plus, it makes them work for it, haha!
Acheflow already has the drawback of not being able to physically touch people, so she already fits in! Gwendolyn would fit the bill too, but I have to figure out a drawback to her power as well; I like the idea from a manga I was reading that witches can't tell lies or they'll lose their powers because their magic creates lies, so maybe I'd play with that?
Rhianwyn would have something based on illusions, with the condition that nobody -not even herself- knows what the real her looks like anymore. They all assume it's similar to Gwen, but being seen causes immense pain, so she's been a not-her since childhood.
Roland can talk to animals and plants, but he has a very difficult time adjusting and understanding humans due to his connection with nature. I would love to make Theodore a shapeshifter, but I already have a canon villain with those exact powers, when I decide to develop them. Charismatic leader though, where he is capable of essentially brainwashing people or forcing them to follow his orders, I could see him doing. That way, if he's not very careful with his words, bad things can happen. (And it reverses his role with Gwendolyn, who is usually in that position)
Scarlet probably has something physical; a super-strength of some sort that is a familial trait. Kind of like... one of the few families that pass powers on, instead of them being kind of random. Downside: there is absolutely a villainy based line that does the same thing, and they are out to end the family, one way or another.
I always saw Toshiko with the ability to fly, but that may be because I've made her primary mode of transportation a flying carpet. Not a ton of drawbacks, except that flight is difficult to master, and no one wants to go like the caped people from the Incredibles.
Aoife would absolutely be invulnerable to all damage, except for one condition she herself isn't even aware of, because her parents have kept that from her. As a result -like in her canon- she's become a little reckless with her own life, because let's face it: she can't die yet anyway, can she?
I see Alba being very similar to Roland, minus the plants. Because I need my Snow White stand-in to be friends with all the animals and have them leap to her aid.
Mmm... Tobias would likely talk to the dead, maybe even be able to call on them for help. But that's a slippery slope, and he doesn't have many (any) close living friends anymore. Lou, on the other hand, likes to set things on fire, and when they get too excited... well, things kind of go boom.

Bit of a weird question, but if all your OC’s were in college, what would their majors be? I’m thinking Aoife would go for Anthropology, because she gives me Ariel from Little Mermaid vibes, what with her obsession with collecting little trinkets and knick-knacks, just like Ariel. We all know Ariel would be an Anthropology major irl, with her fascination with humans. Also, Aoife seems like she’d love to learn all about the human experience (the linguistics, culture, and history of the world)! Since she’s been sheltered all her life in a castle, and because she won’t live long enough to have the full human experience, I’m sure she’d be delighted to study Anthropology.
I can’t think of any majors for everyone else haha. If you can’t think of any majors, here’s an additional/alternate question: If all your OC’s lived in OUR reality, without all the magic and superpowers and deities, what jobs would they have?
I’m thinking Acheflow would open up her own library in a small town. For some reason, I imagine Theodore working as a biologist studying frogs and stuff lmao but that’s probably not canonically-accurate. And I know the Villain’s Intern world has normal jobs and stuff already, but I like the idea of Aria being that super strict math teacher at school who seems like she hates kids, but always stays back to patiently tutor any students who are struggling. What do you think?
Oh, no worries, I love that you like to know more and think about it; it's very sweet and I want to give all the hugs (if you like hugs)! I'll throw this under a Read More, to keep things small!
Anthropology sounds about right for Aoife! Rhianwyn would go into some type of political science savvy major, because she would want the power politics would give her... or at least, a well-positioned husband would. Theodore would go to law school, and eventually become a politician, just based off his prince role, haha. Scarlet wouldn't go, and Gwendolyn would probably go into some kind of childcare and an ECE major. Roland works in conservation, but I'm not quite sure what major/schooling he would have gone through to work in that way!
Acheflow double-majors different types of history; I always saw her as working in a museum, or a library like you said! With the majors, I would go museum, and whenever schools schedule field trips, they ask if she's working, because she has all the fun information that isn't on the descriptions. Lou is a teenager starting out, so they haven't decided what they're doing yet; they're kind of just in college to explore and check new things out! Tobias would never tell you what his major/degree is in, but he's weirdly knowledgeable about lots of things, so people like to guess! I hadn't thought much for the Villain's Intern people. Without superpowers or heroes/villains, Violet would likely go into journalism. Aria is trickier, because she could do literally almost anything with her math skills, and she chose accounting as her cover. She likes kids well enough, so teaching is a good fit, you're right about that! But she's also really pretty and likes clothes, so without powers, she may have slipped into the model/fashion designer route when she was younger!

What would be your OC’s favourite video games? For any characters, Scarlet, Violet, Aria, Gwen, Aoife, anyone!
I’m thinking Scarlet would like something really violent, like Doom. Gwen maybe would like something calmer like Animal Crossing. I could imagine Aria playing some sort of math video game right before robbing a bank, like Sudoku or something.
Or maybe I’m completely wrong, and Scarlet loves Stardew Valley and Gwen’s a beast at Call of Duty haha
So, ages ago, back when I was consistently on this site, I talked about some games headcanons here, but I can be more specific about bits now because I've played new games since! I'll throw it under a Read More to keep things small!
You were absolutely right in that Gwen is absolutely my Animal Crossing (especially Happy Home Paradise) gal! She also likes games like Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley, where there's minimal (if any) fighting, and farming romance!
Scarlet will play lots of games, but she likes things like Dynasty Warriors a whole lot. She'd be on the edge of her seat, waiting for Three Hopes to come out, although she wasn't the biggest fan of FE: Three Houses itself. (However, although Scarlet tends to like blondes, ooh Dorothea is her jam) Anything that relies too much on story, puzzles, or remembering lots of lore bores her, so lots of fighting or competitive game are the way to go!
Aoife likes cozy games! Unpacking. Unpacking is her thing. She wants a thousand games just like it, where she can just unpack boxes and organize all the cool things! Sims would also be a good ting for her, where she just goes creative in making houses and things! (Toshiko, on the other hand, is all about stressful games, where actions have consequences, like This War of Mine)
Violet is incapable of playing shooters. She's not sure what it is, but anything that requires her to shoot is something she can't play. She couldn't shoot to save her life. (However, much like me, she would end up winning PUBG with a teammate, without ever taking damage or firing a shot) Much like Theodore, Violet likes strategy games, and the more lore, the better! There's nothing Violet loves more than some good worldbuilding!
Aria is a casual player, and she'll try most things at least once. She gets my recent Genshin Impact obsession, because all the pretty people and unlike me, Aria would have the money to drop on all the banners. She would have Venti... unlike me. Although she would have all the things because she drops hundreds into the game, Aria plays for the aesthetics; she gives them weapons that match style rather than best stats, and she has different themes for her party builds based on who looks best together! She isn't particularly great at fighting, but she's having fun, so who can really say it's a bad thing? (Bonus: she also funds Violet's Genshin adventures, because Aria wants to play co-op, and Violet is much more organized and better at the combat. Violet now carries Aria through co-op battles)
