I stand with you although I am white. I stand with you in this hour of pain. I stand with you in this darkest of night. I stand with you as injustice occurs again. I am not a a US citizen. I am not male and I am not dark skinned. I am, however, looked upon in some circles as you are. I am discriminated against due to my gender. I am living on the poverty line as I am unemployed. I am looked upon with fear and misgivings whenever someone who also suffers from the same mental illness carries out an act beyond comprehension (like the man who threw a petrol bomb into a metro bus at the driver and burned him alive in my state's capital two years ago). I am overlooked as eligable for jobs due to being disabled. I also live in a country whose indigenous population are treated with disdain, contempt, fear and face death in custody which has occurred many times. I grew up with and shared the teachings and beliefs of Martin Luther King Jr, John and Robert Kennedy. I cried with those affected by the tragedy of their deaths when expressed in the documentaries that I watched. I despaired for the road the US and the world was forced down when by these assassinations that sparked the end of an era of innocence and hope for equality. I mourned the passing of these men of vision, integrity, intelligence, intellect, peace, hope and love. Now I grow, cry, despair and mourn the passing of George Floyd and the riots that it has inspired. I pray that these riots, although justified but costly due to looting and burning destruction, serve the purpose they were designed for. The time for injustice has passed. The time for inaction is over. I Stand With You. If you are looking for a truly guilty dark skinned man, look at the man on the left. He is Wayne Williams who killed over two dozen young dark skinned males in Atlanta in the early 70s. If you are looking for someone who is truly innocent of any and all crimes - except for being dark skinned in a pale skinned controlled world - look at the man on the right. His name is George Floyd and he would not even be known by anyone in the US except for his family and friends if not for the atrocities that he was subjected to by four white policemen.
