In the central portion of the Philippines, Lakawon Island is located. In this blog, I find out if this island is a paradise indeed.
Located off Negros Occidental in Lakawon Island.
Bacolod City is about an hour and a half away. It is one of the top things to do around Bacolod, partly as a day trip, if you are staying in Bacolod. The Lakawon Island entrance fee is shown in the video.
Lakawon Island Resort has a range of accommodation options from PHP 2,232 to aircon suite rooms, starting from fan bamboo huts costs.
Kayaking, banana boating, paddleboarding, or snorkeling may be used for activities on Lakawon Island. Or check out its popular floating Tawhai bar. Perfect for sunset viewing.

Valtavaara fell
In Finland, there are no real mountains, but it's still far from being flat either! Fells ('vaara' or 'tunturi in Finnish) are called Finnish mini-mountains. Valtavaara, located near the famous Ruka Ski Resort, is one of the highest falls in Kuusamo. On top of Valtavaara, an old fire guard's hut provides the most stunning views in all directions.
The 80-km-long Karhunkierros Trail, one of the most popular long hiking trails in Finland, crosses the top of Valtavaara on its way to the end point at Ruka. Thousands of trail runners rush through Valtavaara every May as they race in the NUTS Karhunkierros Trail Run, running almost non-stop for 30-160 km. Their conquest is accomplished either in warm sunlight with trying feet or by piles of snow and puddles of swamp water, depending on the changing spring weather and snow conditions. To these daring athletes, you just need to take your hat off!
A wonderful place to visit all year round is Valtavaara. From the nearest parking lot, there is a 5 km snowshoe trail and a 6 km walking trail to the top of Valtavaara and back. The hut at the top acts as a hiker's shelter, and along the trail there are also a few campfire sites.
