Hey, it’s me, and guess what, I still have absolutely no chill over this book. As of this writing, the actual translation of The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish is up to chapter 32, so there is a ways to go until I get to read this scene for real, but even the mtl version of the conversation absolutely wrecked me. I genuinely love that the book spends almost no time on angst over Jing-wang’s mutism, but then I was absolutely delighted to see the difficulties of the situation brought up in this quiet, intimate conversation between the main couple. And the detail of Jing-wang taking a sentiment that’s too hard to convey without words onto Li Yu’s palm was lovely, and clearly stuck with me, haha

Shen Yuan was a bigger villain then Shen Jiu as Shen Qingqiu

Shen Jiu was just a shitty abusive asshole but at least it was on purpose and with intent

Shen Yuan was just wandering about and obliviously awakening obscure and strange fetishes and kinks in every man he met

The psychic damage he enacted without even meaning to will never be answered to
