And look, it's exactly what I said. Tumblr fandom convinced itself that because Loki and Mobius were friendly toward each other (and at one point, literally because Tom and Owen were comfortable with each other), Mobius was actually intensely attracted to him and they were going to get together, and now they're having a temper tantrum when - just as I said would happen - Loki and Mobius didn't get together, because they were never meant to be interpreted as romance. Marvel has a lot of same sex friendships. They're very important to the characters, usually.

Disney was not and is not going to make a plot that prevents its work from being shown in China, and your temper tantrum on Tumblr cannot make up for the billions of dollars they would lose appealing to you (only for you to still not be satisfied and still probably rage about the work)

The problem is not Sylki. Sylki is not a bad ship, it's not forced, it's not even really rushed, because they barely even acknowledge they have feelings for each other by the end of the season. Sylki is not "basically incest", it's nothing like that. It's a perfectly serviceable romance, and for finally giving Loki a romance, it's actually quite good.

You don't need to like Sylki, because you don't need to like any ship, even if it's canon. But don't make up excuses and pretend that Sylki is just 'bad', don't be the pathetic anti shipper that needs to be "right" in their dislike of the ship by making up excuses like "You can't ship it because it's incest!" or "We're just mad we were robbed of a gay ship!"

No it isn't, and no you weren't. The gay option was never an option. It was never teased. It was never hinted. It was never implied. It was never even considered. You forced it, and now you're mad that your crackship never became canon, and you're lashing out at actual canon over it, instead of accepting that you just wish two friends (who spent most of their time as enemies) had sex.

No, Disney didn't decide "They would rather selfcest than show gay!" because there was never an option considered for the gay. Not at all. It was never on the menu, and they never expected or wanted you to think it was on the menu. The very concept of the show was Loki learning to love himself metaphorically by loving himself literally - therefore at no point, ever, was Mobius considered as a romantic partner. Stop pretending you're a victim when you literally victimized yourself. And you darn well know you did.
