Leave space for your emotions. If you feel something, validate it. Do not repress it, do not criticize it, do not judge it. Emotions are not meant to be logical, they are not meant to make sense. They are just meant to be.
you are not less because of your trauma. you’re lovable and you are enough despite anything you’ve been through. you are not defined by what other people have done to you.
The hardest thing for me to unlearn is blaming myself for taking up space. I often reprimand myself for laughing too loud or talking too fast or making too many jokes.
But I'm learning that all the small things I hate about myself are what others like most about me.
And day by day I'm slowly starting to like them as well.
