Kevin gestures feebly to Neil, so Neil presses the bandage back into place over swollen, reddened skin. Neil drops his hand back to his side and clenches his fingers into a fist to hide the excited tremor. He doubts either Kevin or Andrew notice; they are too busy staring each other down. At length Andrew smiles, slow and cold. It is the first time he's smiled since coming off his drugs, and Neil can't help but stare. "Now it's getting fun," Andrew says. "Finally," Kevin says, equal parts exhaustion and exasperation.

I really wish I could've seen the faces on Oliver and Ryan when they were sat down with the new PR manager and their new contracts because it feels like they were actually asked for their input and had their opinions taken into consideration...

like, I know everyone's in a tizzy about Oliver and Ryan talking about watching buddie edits and reading fics and Oliver liking fanarts on insta and what it makes me think of is that it's something they would've wanted to do years ago, but they were too afraid to stir the pot and abc just saw the opportunity and latched onto it — because let's be very real here, this is an advertising goldmine, even if fox was too ignorant to care.

sending the guys out to do all these interviews, introducing new queer storylines and giving acknowledgment to the fans while also admitting that they used to be worried about misleading fans by engaging and now they just do what feels best and whatever happens, happens because all opportunities are truly open now — is a hell of a step away from how things used to be and they are clearly having the time of their lives and so are we.

lou said he turned down a more heated first kiss because he didn’t think that’s what bucktommy needed. which means the buddie first kiss where they kiss softly first and pull away, staring at the heated, awestruck, lovestruck look in each other’s eyes only to lean back in hungrily, pouring every unsaid love confession into the kiss is on the fucking table.

Obsessed with the thought of a fic where Buck is hitting on eddie but its not working but theyre going on a trip tg (reason tbd) and buck is reading a ton of romance novels so hes like “oh i should do that thing where the hotel room only has one bed and not tell eddie so he’ll fall in love with me” only when they get to the hotel room somehow they messed up and there are two beds, a fold out bed, a sofa bed, and a connected room with two more beds and eddies just like 🤨 “thats weird” meanwhile buck is thinking about how maybe hes just destined to be single forever

well, it’s finally happened (again). the worst possible thing to any writer.

someone has taken the work of so many writers on tumblr and put it on wattpad. without our permission. despite the many fucking reminders we have always had that our work is not to be distributed or put anywhere else - I don’t understand why people do this. I suppose I should be happy that at least credit has been given… but I’m so angry that the work has been taken and compiled somewhere else without any permission. It is so infuriating - and this has always been the one thing that will make me stop writing here because people don’t know how to respect creators or have basic decency.

Maybe controversial opinion but I really don't want Bucks coming out to be made about Eddie's jealousy. Like I'm not completely against future jealous Eddie (I'll always love and hope for Buddie) but can Buck please get a nice coming out and self discovery and first relationship with a man experience first? I know there'll be drama and some angst no matter what but I really don't want it to be immediately messy just for the sake of establishing buddie, if that makes sense

We are really on the precipice of something monumental here.

I've watched a lot of slowburn romance. Scully and Mulder, Booth and Brennan, Castle and Beckett, Tony and Ziva, I could go on. I love slowburn. I love the level of emotional investment that comes from tuning in episode after episode, week after week, month after month, season after season, year after year. Watching years of buildup and pining, growth and development. It's a really special kind of storytelling that only really happens in a week-to-week cable show. There's nothing like the feeling of finally seeing them kiss, or confess, or get together after literal, actual, real world years of waiting.

I've never seen a queer version of it, though. Because queer characters are still a risk, because every show wants to establish it's queer narratives off the bat. Frankly, most queer relationships on TV are kind of insta-lovey. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! It can be done well. And I know that for a lot of people waiting for a ship to come into fruition feels scary--what if it's baiting, what if the show gets cancelled?

I get that.

But I love this kind of thing, I live for the slowburn. For the aching, the suffering, the waiting, the drawn out tension. No matter how many times I've seen it, I eat it up everytime. And I've been desperate to see a queer version of that trope play out. To get to a place in representation where writers can take the risk of telling that kind of story, in a primetime procedural drama, without it being baiting, without it getting cancelled.

And here we are. Finally.
