“My Lord,” Ariel said, taking his hand and stepping down from the carriage.  She kept hold of Eric’s hand as she leaned up on her toes to quickly kiss his cheek.  ”Do you want to eat first, or go out in the rowboat?” she asked, eyes darting over to where the boat was tied to the dock.

Eric laughed a little after their sudden stop. "It's already love, it happens to the best of us." He stepped out of the carriage, grabbed his basket and then offered his hand to Ariel. "My lady."

A Simple Day || Ariel & Eric

Ariel looked up and noticed that they were nearly to the edge of the lake and quickly yanked back on the reigns, causing them both to jerk forwards a bit at the sudden stop.  ”Sorry,” she mumbled sheepishly.

"Princess Snow White!" Eric said in school not fully believing what he was hearing. Was it really her? If it was then he had some news to report to his neighbors. "Everyone had heard that your father passed away and shortly after you did as well from an illness. Everyone in the other kingdoms thinks your dead and that your step mother is the one true heir to the throne of this kingdom." He said grimly now fully believing something wicked was afoot.

Dream A Little Dream || Prince Eric & Snow White

A prince? She gasped. Was it possible that he had heard her song? She hadn’t known what to do at that point. She sunk back down, hurriedly trying to think of what to do next. She then thought herself rude. He’s a prince! Get up! Brushing off dust and dirt from the rags she wanted to call a dress, she rose to her feet and smiled the sweetest smile. “I’m very sorry. You see, if mother caught me talking to someone, even a prince, I’d be sure to get in trouble!” She looked in the direction of her stepmother’s tower, but saw nothing. “But I can try my best to get you back home, safely.” She grabbed the sides of her dress and curtseyed. “I’m Snow White, Princess. It’s so very good to meet you.” Her cheeks turned red as her eyes couldn’t stay upon the prince, Prince Eric.

"Excuse me madam I didn't mean to frighten you." He said with a formal bow . He really had never that effect on anyone before. Then again he had never interrupted a servant of another castle before. His sudden appearance clearly gave her a fight. The best he could do now is try to dole out some of his charm in order to save the situation. He also felt something inside of him something telling him that this girl was important. "My name is Prince Eric. I come from a distant land and I am afraid I am lost." He said with a simple smile.

Dream A Little Dream || Prince Eric & Snow White

Lost in her own little world, Snow continued on picking various berries and herbs for tonights meal. Though, something made her think she had heard something that hadn’t come from her. She slowly turned around, and noticed a strange man at the gate, causing her to jump and drop her basket. Her eyes widening, she ran over to the well and hid behind it, peeking out to see if the man was still there. Strange, she had never before seen a man other than the ones who worked in the palace, so she hardly knew how to react. Plus, just think of what her stepmother would do if she were to find out there was a man in their garden! She wrapped her tiny fingers around the well’s walls for one more peek, watching the man carefully. When she found he had not left, she took a deep breath and spoke, “Wh-who are y-you?”

"Oh I see, and yes steering is hard. It took me a long time to get it right." He said slightly embarrassed. "I'm better with boats then I am with carriages." He rubbed the back of his head as they got closer to the lake. "Can you stop them?" He asked knowing that they needed to stop soon.

“Grimsby was teaching me while you were away,” Ariel explained as she brought the horse to a stop.  ”Turning still confuses me though,” she added, a frown causing her forehead to crease.  The frown quickly disappeared when Eric mentioned learning how to ride.  ”I would love that!”

"Oh wow you have gotten much better." He said with a smirk. "Pretty soon you'll be able to ride anywhere. I'll have to be sure and teach you how to ride a house some time."

“Yes!” Ariel laughed, taking the reigns from him, a brilliant smile blooming on her face.  She slapped the reigns lightly across the horse’s back, keeping the carriage steady.  No death-defying jumps today.

Miguel hadn’t met a Phillip, but was a little intrigued. “Another explorer?” he guessed. If Eric made a point of hanging out with explorers, he’d be a valuable asset.

Eric was wondering about the forest having his own little adventure...also a little lost. He could navigate by the stars just fine but when it came to trying to find his way by land in the middle of the day he was perfectly hopeless. 

Then he heard something, something that often lead lost sailors on their way. It was the song of a woman somewhere near by, maybe she could help him find his way. He began to wonder through the woods until he saw a wall with as small gate like door on the side. He looked in to see a young woman singing to herself. He cleared his voice and softly spoke. "Excuse me ma'am."

Dream A Little Dream || Open

After a long morning of cleaning the palace staircase, Snow White had grown tired and restless. Placing the sponge in the soapy bucket, she wiped her hands on the rags of her dress and slipped her clogs upon her tiny feet. She began to hum a small, quiet tune to herself as she placed the bucket next to the wishing well, so she would know where to come back to get it in the afternoon. 

It was now time to pick berries and herbs for the cooks of the castle. They always sent her out, frankly because her stepmother told them that Snow would always be willing to help. Which was true, nonetheless. As Snow made her way down the path of the gardens, her quiet tune turned into a song. “Someday my Prince will come…” Humming and singing along, she began swaying to the music in her head.

"I really haven't found a dungeon sexy without the right echos but that's just me." He joked walking into the castle. "You might have to ask my friend Phillip about that."

“Well, you know how it is,” Miguel joked. “Romantic torch light, manacles. Very sexy, dungeons,” he winked.

They were getting closer and closer to the lake that they loved so much. "Well we've got a straight path to the lake. Would you like the reigns until the lake? It's just a straight shot." He said holding the reigns out in front of her.

“It is,” Ariel murmured, thinking back to all of her close calls.  ”Especially now that…” she trailed off, shaking her head firmly.  She didn’t want to think about that, not when Eric was trying so hard to distract her from those thoughts.  She focused back on the moment and perked up as they rounded a bend in the road and their lake came into view.

"Well I don't think you are invincible I believe most things you can talk too wouldn't want to eat you. But they again most sea critters can talk to one another so I guess that makes sense." He said with a sigh. "Sounds like the  sea can be quite dangerous."

“They try, but rarely succeeded   We may be considered mythical creatures by some, but we aren’t invincible ” she explained.  Ariel had been so busy trying to learn how to be a human that she hadn’t had a lot of time to tell Eric about her life as a mermaid.  It made her happy that he was showing an interest.

"I wasn't aware sharks ate mermaids...in fact I didn't know anything would want to eat merfolk. I would think you could talk your way out of most situations with sea critters."

“Not a shark, Eric!” Ariel said, nudging him back playfully.  ”I dealt enough with them when I was a mermaid,” she added, rolling her eyes.  ”Besides, we have Max.”

"She does, its very well behaved so long as the princess is happy anyway" He said nudging her. "Maybe we should get you a shark or a puma."

“And she keeps it as a pet?” Ariel questioned.  Actually, it didn’t seem that odd.  She had kept Spot as a pet for a while after all; surely a killer whale was more of hassel to have as a pet than a tiger!

"You know I don't think you would either. It's very dry and there is not much water." He then had to think for a second. He really never had to explain what a tiger was. "Well its a critter that walks on all four legs and that is really big. They are orange with black strips and have giant teeth and claws."

“I don’t think I would like the desert,” Ariel commented.  She couldn’t imagine living in a place where she couldn’t see the ocean every day.  ”What’s a tiger?  Are there any here?”

Eric smiled as she snuggled up close to him, he loved it when she was near him like that. "It happens when they think I'm a single prince." He said with a laugh. "It was nice, in the middle of the desert so it was dry and hot. There shops were all out in the streets and they constantly lowered the price if they thought you were going to another stand. The palace was lovely a with many big open spaces and very few doors. Also the princess had a big pet Tiger."

Ariel settled the picnic basket at her feet, then snuggled closely to Eric.  ”Then they really must have been impressed by you.  Where was it you went?  What was the land like?”  She really hoped that she could go with him on the next trip; she wanted to see more of the world.
