ive found that partially treated mental illness can sometimes look to uninvolved onlookers like faked mental illness.

Four things that are 100% true and you should think about if you haven't already:
You don't have to be a boy if you don't want to
You don't have to be a girl if you don't want to
You can be a boy if you want to
You can be a girl if you want to
This isn't a joke. This is reality. Have you considered these facts? If not, maybe take a moment to think about it. How's your gender doing? If you don't like it, it can be changed. Hell, even if you do like it, maybe you'd like something else more?

i think a lot of white queer/trans people need to hear that "breaking gender norms" isnt just wearing a dress while masc or dying your hair. its also unlearning the beauty standards that impose ideals of white beauty and attractiveness on non-white folks. yes you have a nose ring but i just heard you tell your black friend with meticulously cared for natural hair "you'd just look so nice with straight hair is all im saying..." why does your blog fetishizing i mean uh. appreciating trans women only feature skinny white women who pass. when societal gender norms are so inextricably tied to whiteness and emulating whiteness it is not enough to simply change your aesthetic. you need to defy the gender norms in your own head too.

always blows my mind as a european when people talk about states like “yeah theres nothing in ohio/montana/wyoming/etc” because i look at a map like but. but theyre so big. every state could qualify as its own country what do you mean theres nothing there. and then i ask people from those states and theyre like “yeah theres nothing here” what do you mean theres nothing there!!!

desperately need y'all to understand that when i say "no one deserves to be abused, even if they have done extremely harmful things" i am not saying that You, Personally, Must Feel Sad Emotions About Them
i hate this idea we have that feeling a certain away is a requirement to acting a certain way. its the same shit that makes people view low/no-empathy folks as scary/evil/dangerous because they think that acting ethically towards other people requires certain feelings.
i don't think its bad for a white supremacist woman to get horrifically and misogynistically abused by her husband because i like her. it doesn't matter how i feel about her. i have an ethical worldview i choose to follow and part of that is the idea that no one deserves that and everyone deserves support to get away and heal from that. i can both see how harmful her actions have been, and maybe will continue to be, and support people working against the harm of her misogynistic white supremacism, while also acknowledging that she has been unjustly hurt herself and hoping she heals from that (ideally by growing as a person and rejecting those beliefs). it does not matter how i feel, or how cathartic it feels to see her suffer. you don't have to feel sad about a white supremacist getting abused, but you should acknowledge that it's a bad thing and she deserves help and support to escape that.
i will never demand anyone feel a certain emotion, and if i do, i am violating my own beliefs. saying "no one deserves to suffer and its terrible feminism to celebrate misogynistic abuse or to scrutinize whether a victim deserves to be abused based on their own beliefs" is not a command for you to feel sad for anyone. its a call for you to reflect on your actions and whether or not they are ethical and conducive to the goals of feminist liberation.

There are no disabilities which are raised above ableism. The person in the wheelchair, the autistic person, the person with schizophrenia and the person with an invisible chronic illness may all experience society's ableism in different ways, but none of them can expect to avoid it. So the "you wouldn't say X to Y" advocacy needs to retire yesterday. They say all kinds of ableist shit to all of us and it's time to try out some actual solidarity instead of arguing about who has it slightly worse

Can you guys stop calling grown ass adult trans men ‘boys’ it’s getting weird. I just saw someone call a 40 year old a boy and I think I’m going to go insane.
That isn’t a soft little uwu boy that is a grown ass man.

actually i love growing older and learning how i work as a person like realizing what kinds of fabrics feel best on my skin or what brand of yogurt i like best or how I want to be touched. watching myself change, enjoying brussel sprouts when I used to hate them as a child, understanding why I got angry in that one conversation 10 years ago… there are so many mysteries inside me that i have yet to unravel and there will always be more and sometimes i think maybe its all worth it
