It really surprises me.

Green stans, specially Alicent's stans, love to claim that Alicent is the poor and only victim in the story. They cry because she was a child bride, she was marital r*ped, and she was forced to be a baby factory by Viserys; wich is true, I can't deny it.

Oh but when it comes to Helaena... there is no the same simpathy. Alicent knew first hand what is was like to get married at very young age and still did it to her daugther. Alicent married her daugther to her r*pist son at 13 and Helaena birth her twins at 14. Alicent put her own daughter through what she suffered.

However, when it comes to Helaena, green stans be like: "Oh but Alicent did it to protect her" "it was Viserys in the books" "that's how it was in those times" "but Aegon is better than Viserys" 💀💀💀

Green stans literally deny or ignore the fact that Alicent sentenced her daugther to a worst fate than her's.

Their hypocrisy is on another level.

Because if they admit that Helaena herself is a victim, then they have to admit that Aegon is the abuser. Which they will never do.

Helaena deserved better.

Okay then by your logic there’s no evidence of Viserys raping Alicent. She helped him bathe, she would go to his chambers when summoned and even after she would spend time in there when he worked on his model, she sat next to him and smiled at him during dinner, she cuddled herself into his chest after Rhaenyra had left with Joffrey, she fussed over him and his health by helping him sit and placing a blanket on him, She cried when he died, she referred to him as “my love”

This is not the behavior of a downtrodden victim who hates her husband.

You know what I don’t understand? The fact team green vilifies Viserys for all these things that he’s done against Alicent. Which I agree. In the show he was a terrible father (to all his children… that includes Rhaenyra), and a terrible husband (to both Aemma and Alicent). He was not a good man.

However, what I have also seen is the fact that Aegon is just like his father. He’s a terrible husband to Helaena. He marital r*pes her, Does not pay attention to her, unless drunk (which once again is when he r*pes her), Insults her, Constantly goes out whoring and to fighting pits. Overall, he’s a terrible husband.

Then there’s the fact he’s a terrible father. (WE HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM INTERACT WITH HIS KIDS!!!!) You’re right, we haven’t… however the fact that he r*pes his children’s caretaker shows that he does not give a shit.

He’s a piece of shit and you guys try to go paint him as a sad little emo meow meow with mommy and daddy issues. When the truth is he’s just like Viserys the man you claim to hate.

Side note: also how the fuck can you love Helaena but support her r*pist???? Like that makes no sense. Sis deserves better.

Green stans logic:

Rhaenyra should be hated for not helping advance women’s positions throughout the Realm (even though it was a hardship to get stability for herself as the first reigning Queen of the Seven Kingdoms).

Meanwhile, Aegon Hightower should be applauded for taking away a woman’s legitimate right to the throne at a time when a couple of women were found in positions of power throughout the Realm (Lady Jeyne Arryn of the Vale being the most notable example).

Seriously…try harder.
