Some previews of my outfits in Cut and Weave, the Azeroth Fashion Zine!

My zone theme was the Krasarang Wilds, and I had a ton of fun pulling together the elements for Ello's creations. It was a great experience going through a zone I wouldn't normally link my character to, and thinking about how she would see that place and what she would be inspired by.

All of the other contributors are so incredible and their art for this is absolutely stunning. Their pieces are so creative and everyone put so much love into their work for this project!

This zine is full of so many gorgeous pieces by so many talented people, and it was an incredibly fun time watching it come together. The array of outfits is astounding, and I know I'm going to be flipping through this over and over again to soak in all the detail and thought and effort that was put into it all. So pick up a copy and help some funds go to a good cause if you're able to!

Hello everyone! For the past few months, me and a group of amazing WoW artists have been working together on a wonderful project which has just now gone live - the first edition of the Azeroth Fashion Zine, a work of love and tribute to the world of Warcraft and fashion!!

The zine was organized by the wonderful @bearicorn , it contains 30 pages created by 12 wonderful artists including me, and it is currently available on ko-fi on a pay what you want basis - the proceeds go to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund! there's a cherry blossom tree in DC that keeps blooming every year even though it shouldn't and the park service keeps thinking it's dead and then it keeps blooming! well they're removing a lot of trees to rehabilitate the area and they've said it's finally time for stumpy to go and they're going to mulch it and use the mulch to enrich all the other trees so it can help everything else keep going. and they're also going to plant spliced little pieces of it all over so that stumpy can live forever and this is genuinely sending me into a spiral

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

This is a friendly reminder to never, ever publish your book with a publishing company that charges you to publish with them. That is a vanity press, which makes money by preying on authors. They charge you for editing, formatting, cover art, and more. With most of these companies, you will never seen a cent of any royalties made from sale of your book. A legitimate publishing company only makes money when you make money, they will never charge you to publish with them. If a company approaches you and says "Hey, we'll publish your book, just pay us X amount of money," tell them to go fuck themself and block them.
