Hi Good morning!
I was told na di na ko maghulat niya kay mawala na daw iyang feeling after 2 years.
Wala jud ko katulog gabie, gatutok ra kos babaw.
I'm happy for him but not for myself.
They say, makakita ra kog lain pero i doubt like, hey guys kani na tao akong gihulatan and mangita kog lain???? So unsay purpose sa akong paghulat??? He's my first and will be my last period. Kung dili man kami ang para sa future, then mabuhi kog ako ra isa. Ing-ana ka simple.
Akong gusto ron isa mawala ang sakit and magpabilin akong love sa iyaha.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
Doing Things that Don’t Scale
Discussed by Ma’am Alice Therese Caballeda
For me the phrase “Doing Things that Don’t Scale” means discovering new things for new skills to nurture. In other words, it is the edge among products, and services. I have learned that Doordash and Zappo as a good example in doing things that don’t scale. I learned more about how they operate their venture effectively. These start-ups give us an idea on how to manage our future start-ups as well. They presented strategies that are really useful in starting our venture.  I learned about Doordash by testing our hypothesis, launch fast, and do things that don’t scale. Zappo conducted an experiment where, validation is really important. It is to know how to get the interest of their customers. Start-up does really mean to have the most unique ideas for market. We just have to make sure that we can cater the needs of our customers by focusing on customers’ behaviour for their satisfaction. We can’t just offer anything to our customer without knowing what they really need. So, in order to gather accurate data we wanted, interacting with our real customers is the right thing to do by validating our product or services. Also, we can learn some unexpected customers’ behaviour in observing them to cope up right away such as returning the product or disappointed services. We should do something to satisfy them despite of the errors they’ve encountered by giving them good offers or options that they can choose. Learning MVP will help you to have knowledge in starting up your venture because of its purposes it gives the idea of having a competitive advantage among other start up.
Pitching and Fundraising
Pitching is the most essential to all business students for it is our way to attract potential investors and getting funds by presenting our business idea in the most convincing way that can really piques their interests. This discussion is giving us an opportunity to deliver our business idea to our future investors.
SERIES LECTURES
Series Lecture 3: Protection Intellectual Property Rights
Discussed by Ma’am Gamaliela Dumancas
Intellectual property rights protect the ideas and property of the owners wherein it takes legal action. These days some people used and owned the work of others without putting any credits.  It needs to file a patent to have the right in protecting your intellectual property to prevent copyright.
Series Lecture 4: Musuan PEAK Incubator
Discussed by The Office of CMU ATBI
I already knew that there is an incubator in Central Mindanao University however I didn’t know about the Musuan PEAK Incubator itself. They help small business to gain more and now that we already know where we can ask for our help to start our business, we can be able to operate our venture with their guidance.
In our venture, we are planning to continue to operate in the future because we can see our vision and goals being achieved. It may hard for us at first. but, we will make sure to serve schools at satisfying service. We are now knowledgeable in protecting our business ideas, where to seek help, and how to have a successful venture.

“You have to work on the business first before it works for you.” ― Idowu Koyenikan, Wealth for All: Living a Life of Success at the Edge of Your Ability
When you have an innovative mind, you tend to imagine things that you wish to exist, and you find ways to execute your idea. Why do we wish for something? Obviously, we have a problem we want to be solved. The problem-solution creates opportunities for both innovators and the market.
Our Entrepreneurial Mind instructor, Ma’am Alice, invited knowledgeable speakers to understand more about the startup.
Lecture Series 1: The Startup Ecosystem in the Philippines and Why Do You Need to Start Now with Mr. CJ Brasileño
What is start up?
Early-stage businesses and has a level of uncertainty behind it.
It means that it is a business idea and it has to be something new. Something new that piques the market's interest as time goes by and do a business out of it. A startup doesn't secure success right away. It would be best if you did something interesting, innovate your idea, perhaps until it encouraged the market to patronize your concept.
It is a product or service that immediately solves a known problem in new ways.
A startup is not just about building new ideas and introduce them to the market. It must be a solution to an existing problem. Do we need to create a problem? Absolutely, no. What kind of problem do we need to be solved? If you observed everything around you, you’d generate a better idea that benefits the mass in a new way.
It is unorthodox in terms of business model.
The startup is not linear. It doesn’t follow steps to create a startup, but rather a go with a flow method. For example, if you have something to change in a specific area, you don’t need to start all over. Of course, you can use a business model to introduce your product or services in the market.
Disruptive in nature
Startup changes lifestyles. For example, in the past, people are used to send their messages through letters. Things got more high technology using cellphone as a channel to disseminate messages because the sudden change letter is rarely used as a medium of communication. It started when a startup introduces a product or a service that creates a new lifestyle among all people.
It is composed of two to three persons whom are called founders
Mr. CJ Brasileño shares examples of startups as well as when the startup stops becoming a startup. He discussed that a startup stops when the founders have stopped operating. When the product idea has been sold. Lastly, when your company has offered a portion of itself in public. It is commonly called Initial Public Offering (IPO).
If you think that startup is easy? It would be best if you think thrice. A startup is often failed; it needs more patient and willingness to continue your idea. A startup introduces something new, but it doesn't mean that it will click on the market right away. It takes time to convince your market, whether it's their need or something that does not pique their interest. It needs too much capital. Therefore, you need lots of money to execute your idea unless you have all alternative pieces to assemble your concept. The pose of uncertain risk, and for the struggling countries, they might pose as useless.
In terms of ecosystem, the Philippines are new in startups. When Mr. CJ Brasileño shows us the graph (the difference between the total profit of four companies and the GDP of the Philippines), the discrepancy is visible in our naked eyes. He also points out that in every office in Silicon Valley, Filipinos are working using their talents. If the Philippines open such opportunities to all aspiring startup founders, we can also achieve what well-known companies achieved. Though the Philippines already has an institution that would support individuals to thrive on building their startup. The Philippines organized an event (Philippine Startup Challenge).
What makes up a startup ecosystem?
Startup founders
Universities/Schools
Angels/Investors
Accelerators
Startup Evangelists
Enthusiasts
Entrepreneurs
Incubators
Small businesses
How can you be a part of the Startup Ecosystem?
Joining events
Joining communities
Becoming a startup founder
Working with startups
Become a startup developer
Create technology/innovation
The Philippines are becoming a tech country. Every Filipinos have the potential to create a startup. The Senate also approved the Innovative Startup Act that opens tax incentives to every startup.
In Lecture Series No. 2 - The Startup Journey was brought to us by Mr. Kit and Miss Kristel of Ehatid Store. Miss Geisha of CDO b.i.t.e.s introduced the Technology Business Incubation.
Mr. Kit shared his insight about the event of CDO b.i.t.e.s he attended last year, if I’m not mistaken, he’s talking about Developers Connect Summit CDO in Partnership with Microsoft, which I also participated in together with Sir Bonn, and other two higher years of operations management. It was discussed by various speakers how to develop applications and their effectiveness and efficiency as of today’s generation. They also launched their robotics for kids for training to build potential and early opportunity. Mr. Kit also shared his startup journey from the idea of making an application that caters to the essentials of the masses. He said that he was impressed with the other companies that also offer deliveries because they could gain partnership with the various companies by presenting a business model.
They were having trouble looking for a programmer, but he said that he learned from CDO b.i.t.e.s. We don’t need to make it complicated to begin with. We also need to consider many things to execute well. We need to make a great deal with our key partners. In looking for key partners, we should make sure to secure a vision to understand and look forward to the future operation of the venture.
Miss Geisha discussed what a technology business incubator is, a type of business incubator focused on supporting startups that use modern technologies as their primary means of innovation.
DOST PCIEERD funded TBI in the Philippines, which one of which is Central Mindanao University. She also shared that TBI exists because of the uncertainties. She even points out why some startups fail because they might have no good idea, make a product that doesn’t solve anything, have a bad team, etc. TBI is the skeleton of the overall startup. It helps the startup to be more ready to operate.
In our startup (Studfree), we hope to run it. We already found programmers from the Technological University of the Philippines-Manila that could help us develop our application, which happens to be my cousin. In our team presentation on the business model canvas, we also planned to look for programmers based in CMU. We are motivated to continue our venture, and hopefully, we can operate it in the long run.

”Results happen over time, not overnight. Work hard, stay consistent, and be patient.”
For this week, we conduct product validation. Our team formulates questions and overview of our application and gather responses total of 30 respondents.
The overview and questions are the following:
Educational Level
Name of school
What learning management system is your school using? Please, share your experience briefly.
Studfree overview: (We explain here our application, from its purpose to its features.)
Are you willing to download and use our application?
Please rate our product base on the overview. (10 is the highest, and one (1) is the lowest)
Do you have any suggestions to improve our application like features you want to add on or omitted?
Tumblr media
We designate each of us to have six (6) respondents. We didn’t meet while formulating the survey for the reason of poor connectivity. Friday night, we decided to meet for this week. We tabulate the result and find the average of the ratings of our application given by our respondents based on the overview.
Out of 30 respondents, 29 are college, and the remaining is a senior high school student. Out of 30 respondents, 24 students are from Central Mindanao University, and one (1) student each from six (6) other schools (namely: Bukidnon State University, Valencia Colleges Inc., Christ The King College, Don Carlos Polytechnic College, Pangantucan Community High School, Tagoloan Community College). 21 respondents are willing to use our application, five (5) respondents didn’t answer this question, and four (4) respondents answered maybe. The students’ rate our application based on our overview which 10 out of 30 respondents rate our application eight (8) as the highest rate followed by the rate of 10 from eight (8) respondents, a rate of nine (9) from seven (7) respondents, a rate of seven (7) from four (4) respondents, and a rate of 8.5 from one (1) respondent.
We also take down note their suggestions:
Data charges should be free (charged to schools)
A feature that enables students to write a document file
Notifications: To-do must be sync with the calendar
Teacher Evaluation: Twice per semester
Cheat-free Activities: Won’t allow taking a screenshot
Tumblr media
We discussed the respondent's suggestion together with Mr. Gabriel Quilla Dalde, a Computer Engineering student at the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila. We asked for his advice about the respondent's suggestions and how our application runs. We also asked him if the suggested features are possible to apply in which, he agrees. The process of making the application is very tricky, he said. He told us that it takes a month or two to finish the application.
We are planning for next week to have our dear teachers as our respondents to have their suggestions and comment about our venture.
So far, our team is satisfied with the result and eager to hear other suggestions and feedback from our respondents.
We thanked Mr. Dalde for being part of our team and help us to make our future venture possible. And our respondents for participating in our product validation.

Globalization: Faster Than Your Internet Connection
Tumblr media
How do we see the world right now? Globalization expands and accelerates the exchange of ideas and commodities over vast distances. From silk roads to industrialization 4.0. Globalization refers to the shift toward a more integrated and interdependent world economy.
I'm good at observing everything around me and that pushed me to conclude that the most important thing in this world is the connection. How can we acquire something we want to achieve if we don't have a connection? In job hiring, purchasing goods and even in claiming relief goods, everything is done by connection.
I was not sociable due to my traumatic experience in the past however, everything changes so quickly. It was the year of 2013 when I engaged myself to interact with others and having social media accounts then, later on, I'm having fun doing all those stuff. And I have friends from different countries.
Globalization taught me to be more innovative and practice myself to explore more knowledge that I can use in the future.
Tumblr media
Technological change has contributed more to the acceleration of globalization because the first wave of globalization starts with innovations like the steam engine, the industrial weaving machine, and more.
In today's generation, most of us are into high-technology. From research, production, promotion, and selling, it uses technology for an easier way to convey their products. People build connections through online platforms where there are no strangers at all. All the transactions can be done online. Imagine how the world grows. We used to bring our wallet everywhere, but, right now we can pay using our e-wallet on our phone.
South Korea is continuously growing, thanks to its Korean dramas and Korean pop groups that feature their culture through social media and unexpectedly, gain massive popularity around the world. Fans from different countries are willing to buy any merchandise, they even sold out the brands of what their idols are using.
Japan also plans to launch flying cars in two years to be more convenient in terms of transportation. Nothing is impossible in an innovative mind and with enough connection to execute the plan.
Technological advancement is making our life easier and more efficient bringing drastic positive impact on improving the quality of life and experience.
Tumblr media
The global economy is in a constant state of change due to the number of unemployed, technology, and law.
At this time of the pandemic, the number of unemployed is drastically increased due to restrictions that won't comprise our health. Companies are forced to close their ventures for safety. Some companies declared bankruptcy to save their remaining resources. Employees having a hard time to support their family and live in a quality life. The government of each country even sacrifice the economy to ensure the health of its people. The economic performance of each country is also decreasing. Even the value of a single dollar fell to 48.49 pesos. But, it doesn't mean that the Philippines economy is increasing.

“When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” Paulo Coelho
Last week, we scheduled our first meeting in our group to tackle how we can find a problem. Due to poor internet connectivity, one of our group mates didn’t make it to join our meeting. However, we informed him about what we discussed. During our meeting, we discussed our personal experiences and observation around us. Mr. Simudlan shared his idea first and it is about electricity from magnets. He also shared that their community is lack of street lamps and the same problem goes to Mr. De Casa. Miss Magsacay and Mr. Tagapia shared their experience with her trouble in internet connection. At that moment, we are still figuring out what would be the action we must do to solve our problem.
Tumblr media
The following day, we are supposed to meet again via messenger, however, due to the rain, it affects the internet connectivity so we end up nothing. Despite the communication barrier, we able to come up with a questionnaire for our respondents to help us identify our problem. Before we distribute our questionnaires to our respondents, we booked for a consultation meeting with Ma’am Alice to consult if our questionnaire is good to be distributed.
We are troubled to find a problem that’s why we came up with questions and let our respondents give as an idea. Upon consultation, Ma’am Alice found our questionnaire is complicated to answer. She suggested having general questions for our respondents to answer them without confusion. This week we send our questions to our dear respondents via messenger for easy access even without data charges. Each one of us contacted a maximum of four respondents.
Tumblr media
As we received their responses, we observed that most of them shared their personal problem. But we found out the interesting problem that is a common anywhere across the world especially right now. Our problem focuses on internet connectivity. We plan to make an application that can be contained all the data of students’ needs. This is different from google classroom. Google classroom is limited for posting only. In our application, you can use it to meet with your classmates and teacher virtually with low data charges. Activities can be posted by their teacher in their allotted time to maintain time management. Each activity submitted before the deadline corresponds with a plus points given by their teachers. This is also to maintain the mental health of the students and at the same time keep motivated and productive.
Aside from internet connectivity, our group also made a contingency plan if ever the initial decision is failed. The second problem we want to put an end is the electricity consumption. Further discussion about our option problem will be discussed in our next meeting.
It is important to plan as early as we can since most of us are busy and has a poor internet connection. Patience is a must. It's not easy to communicate through virtual only. The work should be done face to face, however, due to this situation, we have no choice but to give our best as we could.
Trust your group mates and be more understanding even if it frustrates you sometimes.

SOS
I may seem okay on Facebook. Every night I cried for help but, no one can hear me. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. I tried to reach out, yet, I couldn't. I tried to laugh and make some fun, but, it is just temporary. I tried to distract myself from stressful things, still, it didn't work. What should I do?
Some people are supposed to understand me, but, they didn't. They gave me a reason to give up. I hate them. I really hate them. If only I could run away from this nightmare, I would.
If only this pandemic didn't happen, I wouldn't feel this way. I feel pressured and forced. If only this pandemic didn't take this long, I wouldn't be suffering from stress, depression, and anxiety. If only I can live with a peaceful mind. If only I have a hero who can save me from this horror. If only.
