Call for some readers

I am currently swamped in Ari reunion scenes and variations as well as working on some huge scenes to set up the stories climax. I am putting out a call for some Ari romancers to go over some of the scenes, give their thoughts on them and suggest what they might like to see as well as one or two bonus scenes. Keep in mind there will be possible serious spoilers.

Sneak Peak (Colony battle route)

"Move up!" the forward officers ordered. One was crouched behind some toppled cargo boxes, their metal surfaces scarred by recent gunfire. He was calling in targets to the two TC3's positioned behind the marines, their engines humming a steady drone over the crackle of small arms fire.

The turrets on top swiveled with mechanical precision, instantly turning three rebels manning a freestanding recoilless rifle into a thin pink mist that drifted down onto the cracked concrete streets below, mixing with the debris and spilled fluids.

The marines had split into two groups. One advanced, taking positions on the bullet-pocked bottom floors of the buildings, their boots crunching over shattered glass and rubble. The other group stayed back in the shadow of an abandoned vehicle, allowing their sharpshooters with marksman rifles to systematically pick off rooftop shooters, the muffled thumps of their rifles echoing through the air.

The fighting was surprisingly drawn out, the main challenge being small holdouts—rebels fortified in rooms connected to underground tunnels, utilizing the colony's mining equipment. These rebels used improvised barricades and the dimly lit tunnels to their tactical advantage, popping out to harass the advancing marines.

The marines' Kimlec Armor varied widely. The oldest model, the Kimlec A3, was bulkier with a slower movement but had an impressive kinetic dampening effect, visible as a subtle shimmer around the marines when incoming rounds were deflected. The B2, on the other hand, was much slimmer, allowing troops to move as quickly as they physically could with the armor’s assistance, their movements almost a blur to the unaided eye.

Veterans in their A3s moved confidently through the buildings, several of them charging through some of the weaker dividing walls to catch rebels on the other side off guard. Their sudden appearance caused a panic, with rebels scrambling for their weapons in disarray.

The buildings shook with explosions from ordnance larger than small arms—likely artillery from somewhere beyond the immediate battlefield. Windows blew out, sending showers of glass onto the streets, while the ground vibrated beneath your feet, a constant reminder of the heavy ordnance being deployed.

A modified loader, repurposed for combat, burst out from around a corner. Its mounted welding tools emitted a deadly arc of plasma, instantly incinerating one unlucky marine before you could step in. With a swift kick, you knocked the legs out from under the mechanical beast, letting it slam to the ground with a thunderous crash, trapping the operator underneath in a twisted heap of metal.

One marine stepped up, tossing a grenade under the fallen loader. There was a muffled scream, abruptly cut short by the ensuing blast, which sent a shockwave rippling through the nearby air.

"Move the TC3s back; these streets are too tight for them to be effective," Jacob's voice crackled over the comm. Looking back, you saw the two hovervehicles adjust their course. Their massive forms slowly backed up, the squads covering them shifting to cover on the sides, their movements synchronized and precise.

"Monster!" a voice called out to you from the chaos. Turning, you watched as the Hawk stepped out from behind a shattered storefront, staring at you from behind his angular mask. "I challenge you to combat!"

Your marines moved forward, some raising their rifles.

Surveying the scene, you could see the townspeople huddled against the remnants of a crumbled wall, with nowhere to run from the relentless fighting. Their faces were etched with fear and uncertainty. Beyond them, the few remaining rebels stood up, rallying around their leader as he boldly, perhaps foolishly, sentenced himself to certain death.

"You are making a serious mistake, 005," Elia said, her voice growing cold as she stared down Ari, her eyes piercing.

"And what's that, Admiral?" Ari asked, a hint of contempt in her voice.

You shifted uncomfortably to the side; this was a battle you had no hand in settling. You saw the fire in the Admiral's eyes while Ari's own maintained a defiant glint.

"You are mistaken if you think I view you as anything more than a defective asset. 002 has earned my trust, as well as the trust of everyone in the Empire. But you have only been a mistake in their eyes. While I won't dismiss you out of turn like I'm sure some more cautious officers might, do not be mistaken. I will not hesitate to do all of us a favor by having you terminated and your blood recycled."

You felt a warmth at the Admiral's vote of confidence, yet you shrank back more as the threats landed.

Ari seemed to deflate as the Admiral spoke, but then she straightened, returning the Admiral's gaze even more intensely.

"Understood, Admiral."

How would Ari react to waking up one day not in their room and to find out their not wearing their prosthetics because their missing limbs grew back, they even still have the stump scars when they originally lost them.

MC walks in also not having their prosthetic arm because a new one grew in its place and they sit down at Ari's bedside before explaining they both turned into monsters and went on a rampage destroying their enemies before passing out due to exhaustion they let them know the only ones who can do this are from the first generation which Mother kept as a tight lip secret.

Possible spoilers below. So skip if you prefer to avoid even possible ones.

The first generation is very unique, many of those unique qualities are known only by Mother and a select number of trusted confidantes of the Emperor himself. I cannot write out this scenario for you lovely reader, because It brushes a little too close to a scene that already exists. Thank you for your ask though. <3

I just feel like 1 and 2 know that they got some deep-seated problems. But I also feel like they’ve both been on a mission with 15 at some point and while their brother is while deep in some human intestines. We’re looking at each other like well at least we’re not that bad.

015 is basically a mechanical wendigo. Which is A TERRIFYING CONCEPT NGL! Yes 001 and 002 have definitely had moments looking over at 015 and just going....jesus calm down dude!
