Not so jolly Christmas

There are many days that natsu would consider bad, but today would have to be the worst of them all.Its Christmas time and many people would have the time of their lives...except him. He was walking down the the streets of magnolia and he saw that almost all other guilds had come to fairy tail to spend time with one another and spend time with friends from other guilds. He watched as his friends spent time with eachother. For some reason juvia wasn't there stalking grey so she must have gone somewhere to buy him a present.

Then he saw the one person that made him feel the way he is now...Erza.

She was sitting at the table wearing her santa outfit she would wear every christmas. Natsu always kept it to himself but she always did look beautiful and sexy in that outfit he even blushed as he remembered the wet dream he had about her in that suit but that was something he would keep to himself.

Then his mood changed to anger when he saw...him. the man that hurt erza for so long and yet somehow earned erza's forgiveness. He was there talking to her and putting a smile on her face and making her blush. That was something natsu would happen to him with erza. He always dreamed of having her as his love and having her as his girlfriend. But with the way things are that would most likely not happen. So he left with a broken heart knowing that this would be the one thing that could break him.

"Ah this is the best time of the year!" Lucy said as she looked at all her friends and smiled they looked like they are having fun even others from other guilds.

"Yeah, its nice to know that after all the stuff we've been through we have a time of peace and to enjoy others company" he said smiling

"I just can't help but feel like there's something missing, i just can't put my finger on it" lucy said frowning

"It's probably juvia i haven't seen her in a while" gray said tring to figure it out

"I think so but there's something else" Lucy said trying to think but was interrupted

"Lu!" Levy called "come over here i want to talk about that new book you're writing about" she said excitedly

Lucy smiled and forgot about whatever she was thinking about. "Alright im coming".

Erza to felt like something was off but she to couldn't figure it out. As she tried jellal brought her back to reality by putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Are you alright" he asked

She smiled at him forgetting about what she was thinking of, "yes im fine" then went back to talk to him but still had that feeling deep down.

Juvia was walking down the street with a box in her hand wrapped in grey wrapping (how convenient). She was smiling to herself and was excited about the kind of gift she had got grey and couldn't wait to see his reaction to what she got him.

As she was walking she spotted someone by a tree just sitting with his head down. As she took a closer look she saw that this person had pink hair. 'Pink hair? Could it be?' She thought. She then walked toward the person and saw that he had tears coming out of his eyes. Juvia noticed and looked shocked as she saw who it was, "natsu?" She called.

This startled natsu a little and looked at her with wide eyes before quickly wiping his tears. "Juvia? What are you doing here?" He asked normally juvia wouldn't interact with natsu that much its not that she hated him but they never had a close friendship like he did with the others so her being here shocked him.

"I was at the shop buying grey a gift, i was coming back to the guild when i saw you...natsu why are tou crying?" She asked

".......well i dont want to keep you from grey so you better show him that cool gift you got him" natsu said dodging the question and giving a fake smile but juvia didn't want to just let this go.

"Natsu don't try to dodge the question...what is the matter"? She asked in concern

"Nothing why would something be the matter" he said smiling a fake smile again but juvia wasn't buying it and she frowned.

"Natsu" she said in a caring manner "what is it let me help you" she said in a caring voice

Natsu stared at her before he dropped his smile and had tears stain his eyes as he silently let them out.

"I can't go back to the guild" he said in a sad voice

"Why?" She said confused "did someone hurt you natsu?" She asked not knowing that she will find out something that will shock her.

".....she's there" he said

"She?" 'Who is she' she thought did he mean lucy but why would natsu be crying about Lucy then natsu spoke again.

"Erza" he said in a cracked voice

"Erza?" 'What does erza have to do with this?' She thought did erza beat him so badly that he doesn't want to come to the guild? Then natsu spoke again.

"She's there with him" he said in sadness and anger and jealousy which shocked juvia

'Him? Does he mean jellal? But why would' then juvia remembered all the times that narsu would talk about erza with lucy or with gray everytime she stalked him. When he talked about erza it was more than just a friend. He was in love with her. The way natsu challenged her to fight the way he protects her from danger. It all fell into place.

"Natsu" she looked at him shocked "are you in love with erza?" she asked and he froze a little before slowly nodding his head making juvia's eyes widen

"Yeah, i didn't know what i was feeling at the time but later i figured out what it was. I even asked gildarts for advice but...it didn't work out." He said sadly.

"I knew that she was going through a tough time but i didn't want to tell her because i didn't want ro ruin her happiness. But then she started spending time with him and everything changed." He said as tears stund his eyes again.

"She was more distant and i tried whatever i could but it wasn't enough for her to see how i feel because...the reason i never catch up to her, was because she was running towards him" he said shocking juvia and saw how much pain he was in.

He slowly got up and walked away until juvia called

"Natsu wait! If this is how you feel then why don't you tell her already? She asked shicked that he felt this way about erza

".....because i dont think i can handle what comes after" he said making her eyes widen when she realized what that meant

"Im sorry juvia i shouldn't have told you this to ruin your happy mood." He said to her apologizing

"Go back to the guild and have fun alright". He said

"But what about you?" She asked with a sad voice

"I guess i just want to be alone, it's better than watching people have what you can never have" he said before walking away.

Juvia then looked at gis retreating figure then she walked back to the guild hall only this time her smile was gone and replaced with a frown. She she opened the doors she saw everyone having the time of their life and she made her way over to team natsu.

"Hey juvia" grey said then noticed that she wasn't going all gaga over him and that made him confused

"Is something wrong juvia?" He asked with some concern

Juvia waved it off "no it's nothing, juvia was talking to natsu for a bit"

At that the entire team went silent as they all finally realized what was missing...especially erza.

"That's right natsu's not here where is he?" Lucy asked trying to look for natsu

"Yeah natsu would never miss a time like this i hope he's ok" wendy said with concern

"Yeah that flamebrain would never miss this, you said you talked to him to him where is he?" Then everyone looked a juvia for an answer but erza needed that answer because she knew to that there was something bothering natsu but she hasn't had the time to talk to him and feels guilty about that.

"Im sorry, but i dont know he left then i came here" she said sadly not giving them the answer they wanted

Then erza got up from her seat and went to the exit

"Then i will go lool for him and bring him back by force" she said with authority until juvia blocked her way. "Juvia?" She asked confused "what are you doing?"

"Erza listen to me, it's best if you leave natsu alone for now" she said shocking everyone including erza the most why would she say that?

"Why would i do that?" She said narrowing her eyes "if something is bothering then i can help" she said with determination

"Im sorry but this is the one thing you can't help out with" she said stunning her then erza forcefully moved juvia out of the way made her way out the exit.

Juvia looked at her shocked but she tried to stop her but now erza will have to find out the hard way of what is going on.

As erza made her way to natsu's home she thought about how he has been acting lately. He seemed so distant and not how he used to be back then. Everytime erza would want to tale a mission with the team he would back out and take a mission on his own. Erza frowned as she thought back to those memories and began to wonder 'have i done something to upset him?' She didn't know but the way he's been avoiding her lately that was definitely the case. She missed him and felt guilty about forgetting him and made sure to maje up for lost time.

Erza approached natsu's home and knocked on the door "natsu, it's erza open the door" no answer then she knocked more forcefully this time "natsu, open this door now" she practically growled.

After not receiving an answer the second time she kicked the door open. And began to search for him but he was no where to be found. She then flund a note on the table that said 'went on a mission be back whenever i fell like coming back' erza looked hurt after she read there was something about the note that seemed when natsu wrote he was angry.

'He went on a mission?' She thought 'but why? This time is supposed to be about family and friends...natsu what's going on with you?' She thought sadly the answer will come but it's an answer that will leave her shocked and guilty.

There was a specific panel in the latest chapter where Jellal was telling Laxus that he was playing with Erza, or "she was playing with me." And the style was just so Natsu-esque, it almost made me cry. XD

Affliction

It was a rainy day in magnolia especially at the cemetery where the ones we once loved were buried. However no one on fairy tail has ever been in the cemetery because no one they cared about has died...but that changed.

A certain scarlet haired woman was entering the cemetery and didn't even bother bringing an umbrella. As she made her way to her destination she had a look and sorrow and regret on her face. She stopped in front of grave that she hoped she would never have to see in her life...natsu's grave.

She had tears coming down on her face as so many negative emotions went through her body sadness, regret, anger, sorrow, affliction. Was she destined to suffer? Because after the spriggan war she thought that everything would fine from now on.

For so many years erza has been oblivious of something that should've been so obvious that even a five year old could figure out. Natsu was in love with erza scarlet. In fact that love goes back many years since he joined they guild and met her.

Natsu would never know what to do with these emotion so he expressed them the only way he knew how...through battle. He would always challenge erza to a fight and she would always agree but he never won once. But for him thats ok because he thought that he was letting her know how he felt...she didn't know.

She fell done to her knees as she remembered the last time they saw each other. She felt immense guilt now for being a complete idiot.

One year before

Natsu was sitting on a field of grass looking at a lake but had a sad expression on his face. And it was because of a certain red haired woman. Now that everything was done she had been spending time with...him. it angered him to the point where he didn't want to come to the guild because he was there with her, stealing all of her attention. Sometimes he would stay by himself and cry silently because of the pain in his heart.

"There you are" said a voice that he was all to familiar with. He didn't need his senses to figure out who it was or turn around. "Hey erza" he said not looking at her.

She looked confused as to why he wasn't looking at her "where have you been i haven't seen you at the guild for a while" she said trying to start a conversation.

"....." natsu didn't say anything as because this was the first time he had talked to her in a long time she could've spent time with him on any other day but she chooses now. This just gies to show how oblivious she is to his feelings.

"Natsu?" She asked in concern

"...." he still kept silent

Now erza was growing impatient she didn't like being ignored "natsu answer me now it isn't like you to be silent like this" she said in a stern voice

".......why are you here?" He asked and this shocked her why would he ask such a question

"What do you mean i was concerned for your well being because you haven't stopped at the guild for a couple of days" she said as he shook his head that's why she came and it hurt him more that she doesn't know the real reason.

"Well then im fine as you can see...so you can leave now" he said and she was stunned at this...he was trying to get rid of her and she didn't like it

"No your not you at you, you haven't been yourself at all for the past couple of days, im.bot leavimg until you tell me what's wrong" she said in persistence

Natsu just shook his head again as he heard what she said 'i haven't been myself for a couple days?, i haven't been myself for years...erza' she really doesnt know.

At that natsu got up and walked away, he didnt get far as another hand grabbed his.

"Where are you going" erza said in anger

"I'm leaving" he said

"No your not, now tell me whats wrong" she said impatiently and what she saw next shocked her to the core natsu turned around and she saw tears in his eyes. She never saw natsu cry unless someone close to him died.

"N-natsu...w-whats wromg why are you crying" she said changing her tone to worried

"Tell me erza...why are you really here" he said now upset. Erza was taken back by this she didn't know what to say.

"You were upset for a couple of days so i needed to find out what was wrong" she said as she thought it was the right answer. But she was wrong.

"When was the last time you ever visited me when i wasn't upset?" He said confusing her

"Huh?

"When was the last time you visited me when i wasn't so sad because when i was happy...you go somewhere else and leave me because you think im ok" he said confusing her even more.

"w-what do you mean by that natsu?" She sounded even more worried.

"Your only here because im in pain erza if that wasn't the case...you wouldn't be here in the first place" he said shocking all the time she visited him was only when he was in pain? And when he wasn't she wouldn't be there at all.

"Don't worry erza it will go away then you have to worry about me ever again" he said emotionally as he walked away leaving shocked erza at what she heard.

The next day natsu would take the mission that changed lives forver.

More tears fell from her eyes as she realized the pain she had caused him all these years. He was in love with her and tried to give her clues but she never bothered to look or see. That was the last time she would ever see him. The guilt and sadness in her heart will never lit up because she knew that it was her fault for his pain. Had she knew about his feelings then things would be different but now she lost her chance to ever makes things right with him and to reciprocate those feelings.

Repercussions

It was the next day and erza was at the guild feeling very guilty at what transpired yesterday. She felt very bad about saying those things to natsu and decided that the very next day she would make it up to him. She waited but there was no sign of the dragon slayer anywhere so she thought that he was running a little late thinking he would show up. Sadly that wasnt the case since natsu never showed up once. Now its been a whole week and erza didn't see the dragon slayer anywhere. And she was getting worried.

"Erza are you ok" mirajane asked erza

"No, im not mira i hurt natsu badly i want to make it up to him but i cant find him anywhere" she said sadly

Before mirajane could say another word the guild doors opened and saw natsu walk in with a sad expression on his face. When he looked up he saw erza looking at him in regret the moment he looked at her his demeanor changed into an angry one because he couldn't stand ro be around her right now.

So he walked out of the guild leaving mirajane confused and erza in distress as she ran after him but couldn't find where he was at but erza was persistent and she would find him no matter what.

As she kept on looking natsu was trying to hide from erza because he was hurt and no matter what woyld happen nothing coukd fix it and he was angry at her and himself for loving someone that punished him for no reason and would never love him back.

"Natsu!" A voice called out and he grit his teeth because he did not want to deal with her right now it was her turn to know how it felt like to get the cold shoulder.

He was about to get up and leave but.....she found him.

"Natsu" she said relieved that she found him.

Natsu didn't acknowledge her and was about to walk away but a firm hand grio stopped him.

"Natsu please...wait" she said

"I want to apologize for how i acted yesterday it was because i was very stressed out because-"

"because of me" he said cutting her of

"No!" She said quickly "no it wasn't you at all natsu"

"I know why, because you went a on a date with jellal on your birthday and when i went to visit you you couldn't stand the sight of me." He said as she looked at him with widened eyes.

"W-what?" She asked "no natsu that not i-"

"DONT LIE TO ME!!" he screamed startling her.

"No matter what he always had your heart, i wanted to be with you for so many years but you never noticed" his voice was breaking as he was going on....and so was erza's heart. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was natsu....confessing? What he said next confirmed it

"I loved you for so long but you never cared about me you only cared about blueberry, if you had to choose between me and him in life or death you woukd choose him and leave me alone to die." He said making her shake in fear "no natsu i would never do that you don't understand i-" she was cut off again

"I don't need to understand no matter what you'll love him eveb after what he did to you." He then started to cry *sniff,sniff*....."im lonely" he said making erza go wide eyed "im all alone here there's no one else i have to go to anymore....igneel's gone...and so are you" erza couldn't take what she was hearing anymore she went to comfort him but the moment she touched him she was burnt.

"Ahhh!" She let go and looked at him in sadness "natsu...please dont be this way....stop talking like this...this isn't you" she said in sadness.

"Im like this because of you" he said and she was shocked

"Im leaving an im never coming back you can be with blueberry forever for all i care...im done" at that he ealked away leaving erza there in tears.

"No" she whispered "NO!!" She screamed now she lost someone she truly cared about.

A broken soul

Natsu was acting a little different lately ever since they had come back from the century quest he was as you would say...nervous, why you ask?

Well that was simple a certain scarlet haired woman was the answer. No i know what you may be thinking "why would natsu be so nervous around erza?" Well the answer may surprise you, he has feelings for the red swordswoman. In fact this happened many years ago when natsu first met erza when he joined the guild. He didn't know what but he loved everything about her, sure she was strict and scary but she had a good heart and have you every wondered why natsu chose red as his guildmark color? Because of her beautiful scarlet red hair and since then red was his favorite color and the color that was his didnt like...blue.

Erza birthday was coming up and he didn't know what to get her and since then he was hanging around her so much being clingy as well tryong to find put more about her and what she likes. For a while erza thought nothing of it but after a while it got on her nerves. Its not that she didnt hate the closness between them its just that she need her own space and time for crying out loud!

"Sigh"......

"Is something wrong erza" mirajane asked

"Oh nothing drastic mira, its just natsu"

"What about natsu, did he do something bad?"

"No no nothing like that it's just he's been too...clingy lately"

"Fufufufu, my i didn't know natsu liked you that much" mirajane said and at that erza blushed

"W-what are you talking about I-its nothing like that"

"Fufufufufu, sure whatever you say erza~" she sang

"Grrr, ill be going now" at that she left leaving a giggling mirajane who was laughing at her reaction.

While erza was walking someone called out to her.

"Erza" said a voice and she froze.

She looked behind her and saw jellal there with a smile on his face.

"J-jellal" she said nervously he said nothing and walked up to her.

"I came here to ask you something erza" he said in a happy tone.

"A-and what would that be" she asked even more nervous

"Would like to go on a date with me this afternoon because after all its your birthday" as he said this erza went wided eyed jellal remembered her birthday? how did he even find out in the first place?

she didnt think for too long as she smiled and said

" alright, that sounds lovely"

"Ok, ill pick you up later today i made reservations for a restaurant you liked" at that he walked away leaving erza smiling widely then she to walked away.

As she was walking natsu caught up to her "hey erza" he called out

Erza turned around and saw it was natsu and for some reason she felt...annoyed that he called out to her.

"Hello natsu is there something i can help you with" she saked maybe he would go away

"I actually wanted to ask you something important" he said and erza could have sworn that she saw him blush.

"Im sorry natsu but i dont have time i have to go" at that she left natsu wide eyed erza just didn't want to deal with him today leaving him sad as he held a black box in his hands behind in back.

Erza came back from her date with jellal and she had a great time but for some reason she thought of natsu almost the whole time.

'Maybe i was to harsh on him' she thought she came back to tmher room in fairy hills.

As she thought this she heard rustling outside her window she got ready to attack and saw natsu outside and climb inside.

"Natsu!" She said shocked "what are you doing here fairy hills forbids males from entry!" She said in anger

"I wanted to see you" he said and erza was shocked however she didn't have time.

"I dont have time natsu please leave"

"But i just want to tell you something please?"

"No"

"Please?"

"No" she said now impatient

"But rrza i just want t-"

"NATSU JUST SHUT UP" she yelled startling him "ALL THIS TIME YOU HAVEN'T LEFT MY SIDE AND YOU NEVER GAVE ME A TIME OF PEACE AND YOU WERE JUST BEING A NUISANCE...JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!" She finished and turned around.

Natsu just stood there shocked was that what he was doing to do her all this time.

".....im sorry i just wanted to spend time with you after a while" he said and erza looked shocked had she neglected him that much?

" we haven't taled to eachother in a long time and i just thought that i would make up for it. Im sorry for annoying you." He said crying now he then left a black box on her table then turned to leave before saying "happy birthday erza" then left out the window

Erza went wide eyed and she looked at the box she took in her hands before opening it up. What she saw shocked her it was a beautiful red necklace that had a shiny red jewel. Feeling very guilty for what she said to him she tried to stop him.

"NATSU WAIT!" he didnt listen as he kept walking

"NATSU WAIT PLEASE" after that he was gone and left erza in her shame.

She went back into her room and had tears in her eyes

'I didn't mean-i was just' she couldn't think staright starting tomorrow she woukd make it uo to him.

Little did she know natsu knew about her date with jellal and after what happned he wont want to see her anytime soon.

Trying to make amends

Erza had recovered from her injuries a week ago and was now on a quest to take some time for herself. After the whole incident with natsu and how jellal tried to stop him but failed miserably she went on her own to searvh for clues on his whereabouts. But she found nothing as always it's almost as if natsu knkws she's coming and leaves so that she could never find him...and that's exactly what he was doing. Natsu can smell erza's scent from miles away and nor he grew to hate that scent because since she hangs out with jellal so much part of his scent was on her and now he can't stand it. Whenever she was close he would move to a different location so that she would find nothing. It was true what natsu said he doesn't want to see her anymore.

"Where are you" she asked herself "please...dont shut me out Like this...it's killing me" she said crying to herself.

Unbeknownst to her natsu was watching her from a hill because he wanted to see why she was making such a fuss over him.

"I should have believed you...i should have known how you felt about me sooner but...i was selfish, i neglected you so much to the point you couldn't stand the sight of me and started avoiding me". She said crying

Natsu just looked on with a blank face if thats all she had to say then he was wasting his time, he was about to leave but then heard erza say more.

"I should have known that was the first clue of your feelings." She said catching him off guard.

"When i first met you, you stood by my side and was there for my darkest times. You always fought me because you saw that i was in pain and tried to get me to stop thinking about it...through battle."

Natsu then remembered all the times he would challenge her because he saw that she was sad and he didn't know how to talk to her so he would fight her because that's the only way je apuod know how to get his point across.

She kept on speaking as if she knew he was there and listening. "I started to feel warm and i haven't felt that way since..." she stopped because she didn't want to say his name." I remember when you were lying on my lap because you were fatigued from our quest when we were children...you were mumbling in your sleep but you called me...beautiful" she said as she smiled sadly at the memory.

Natsu went wide eyed as she said that because she didn't think she would hear him, he remembered it like it was yesterday.

"Man that quest was really boring i thought that it would have more fighting" sad a mad young natsu with his arms crossed. With a young erza walking by his side.

"It was just an escort quest natsu, there wasn't any need of fighting." Said erza with a sigh. "However the reward is enough for both of us to get by for the time being." She said

"Yeah, i guess" said natsu with a sigh then he yawned from the boring quest. Erza noticed this and smiled he could be so childish but she grew to love that anout him.

"I suppose it would a while before we reach the guild, i would say a break is in order" she said as she sat down on a bench and saw nasu staring at her with a blush on his face.

"...what is it natsu" she asked confused

Natsu looked down in embarrassment "um erza can i...sleep on your lap please?" He asked politely but blushed more and so did erza.

"Eh?!" She asked bewildered.

Natsu quickly explained "it's just i feel more comfortable when on your lap it makes feel more relaxed" he said it was silent for a moment but je was hoping she would day Yes.

"......alright" she said quietly with a blush on her face and her hair hinding her face.

Natsu heard her and couldn't help but smile he loved laying on erza's lap just like when he found out that he was in love with her. But he couldn't summon the courage to tell her.

"Thanks erza" he said quietly and laid his head on her lap and went to sleep.

While he was sleeping erza noticed how adorable natau was when he was sleeping and smiled and she caressed his soft hair woth her hand.

"...erza" natsu said in his sleep

"!" 'Is he talking in his sleep

"Erza...so beautiful" as he said that she went wide eyed and had a healthy blush on her face and her heart began to beat fast.

'What is this feeling...is it' she didn't know what came over het but her head started leaning down towards his lips.

'I feel so warm when i am with him but why' she got even closer to the point where they were an inch away from kissing but erza stopped herself and sat back up.

"...im sorry...i cant" she said sadly "you won't understand but i just don't want to be hurt again" she said.

Present time

The memory was so strong she started crying again.

"I almost kissed you that day...and now that i realize it, i wish i would have" she confessed and natsu looked shocked.

"You made me feel whole again...you made me feel happy...but i was idiotic to not realize that fact sooner." She said in sadness.

"I want to see you again to tell you...i love you natsu" natsu froze in place "i realize that now...i know you may hate me and i deserve it but even if you hate me it wont change the way i feel about you." She said and in the distance natsu had tears come out of his eyes.

"Wherever you are...i hope i see you again to tell you all this" at that she walked away in sadness and natsu desperately wanted to stop her but couldn't because of the shock and the feelings. After she left he crumpled to his knees and cried his eyes out now he feels guilty about leaving and had to see her again soon.

A hurt soul

No words can describe the shock erza felt when natsu left on the mission he looked so angry and she felt as if it was directed solely towards her. She was walking back to her home and the thought kept playing back in her mind, 'i don't need help'

'The way he looked at me have i done something to upset him?' She thought. As she was walking towards fairy hills she saw wendy heading out by herself. Curious she called out to her "wendy!"

Wendy stopped and looked at who called and smiled "hey erza how are you?" She asked politely erza smiled in return and said "im fine i was just headed inside where are you off to this late?" She asked then noticed that wendy tensed after asking that.

'W-what should i say i can't tell her that im tdying to cheer up natsu because he's upset...after all he does have feeling for her' wendy thought in guilt because she couldn't do anything to help her friend.

"Well wendy" she asked in stern tone.

"Ahh i-i was just going out to see a friend" she lied

"A friend?" She asked raised and eybrow in suspicion

"Yeah, a friend asked me to hang out so i thought i should go ill see you later erza" she tried to leave to avoid more questions but erza put a gand on her shoulder to stop her.

"Wendy" she said in stern tone "where are you really gping it isnt like you to lie" she didnt know what was going on

Wendy looked down in sadness 'im sorry natsu' "im...im going to see natsu" she said making erza go wide eyed

"Natsu?" She asked and wendy nodded "wendy do you know what happened to make him so upset?" 'You really don't know do you erza' wendy thought

"I wanted to get some answers from natsu but most of his anger was directed towards me" she said in sadness

"Im sorry erza....i cant tell you" said wendy making erza look at her in shock then frowned "wendy tell me what happened" the next thing left her astonished wendy held her ground and gave a frown of her own "no...i made a promise im sorry erza but i won't tell you natsu should be the one to do it." At that she walked away leaving erza shell shocked

'Just what is going on here?' The next day erza came to the guild a noticed the team was there but natsu wasn't. She frowned now she had to found out what was going on and being left in the dark was not erza's style at all. She waited for him all day but natsu never showed up. She had enough of this she got up and left the guild to go search for natsu ignoring the questions of ber friends of where she was going.

She walked to where natsu's house was and knocked on the door. "Natsu it's erza open the door" there was no answer and erza knocked again for forcefully "natsu!" She called again but again no answer 'alright enough' she kicked the door open to find that no one was inside the house. The house looked surprisingly clean considering the last time she stopped by there was mess all over the place. She searched all over the place and found nothing. 'Natsu just where are you?' She thought. She then knocked over a box that had little peices of paper that were scattered all over the floor. 'Hmm?' She picked them and was shocked to find out these little peices of paper were natsu writing down what happend in his life. "These papers are written down like a journal" she said.

She read the first one.

Today i met a girl named erza scarlet at first i thought she was scary but over time i grown to like her. And when i looked at her more i saw how pretty she is.

She blushed a little but then read more

Today was valentine's day and i don't know what all the fuss was about i see people kissing and hugging it was creeping me out.Then erza told me what it was about it. I started to get this feeling in my chest whenever im around her i feel...warm.

She blushed even more qhen she read these papers then read the other one.

Its been years since i last wrote one of these but i finally realized what I've been feeling all this time...i love her...i love erza scarlet

At this erza widened her eyes with shock she finally understands why he was acting like this

I wanted to tell her how i feel but when i went to tell her i saw her and jellal kiss

Erza widened her eyes again and felt regret knowing that she hurt him.

I didn't bother at all with the feelings because i knew that deep down she loved that blueberry and since he got pardoned from his crimes he was all erza could think about.

Erza felt tears coming from her eyes as she kept on reading she more sadness and regret as she finally began to understand what she did and why he was so angry at her.

I try to spend time with her but no matter what she would use blueberry as an excuse for ditching the team...and me. She doesn't notice what she's doing to me and i decided that i had enough...i would never be the person i was i wouldn't come to the guild that often or start fights, i woukd just take missions and live my life in peace and cut ties with everyone including her.

Erza had tears coming to her eyes as she read the papers she now realized what she did to him all these years and she can't take it all back.

"So you read them?" She jumped a bit and saw natsu loking at her with a blank look.

"N-natsu...how long were you there?" She asked

"The whole time" he said

"Natsu...im sorry i didn't mean to-"

"It's fine you were bound to find out anyway" at that he walked away and she ran after him.

"Natsu wait!" She grabbed his hand to stop him from leaving

"It's like this i-i just ahh why can't i say anything!" she couldn't say the right words because she wasn't thinking.

"If you dont have anything to say im leaving" he said in a bitter tone as he but erza wasn't having it.

"Please wait!" She begged

"....natsu im sorry i didn't mean to hurt you like this or neglect you like this because i-"

"Wanted to spend time with blueberry" he said emotionlessly

"No that's not it at all!" she denied but she knew deep down it was the truth.

"It doesn't matter anyway im leaving" he said

"Then im going with you" she said determined

"No you're not, i wanna be left alone and where your not there at all" he said coldly and it hurt erza.

" you can spend all your time with blueberry i wont stop you or get in your way i was an idiot for thinking you return my feelings" at that he unhooked erzas hand and walked away leaving erza in tears.

'No, i didn't mean to hurt him like this' she thought but now it doesn't matter the damage has been done.

Erza then fell to her knees and cried her eyes out now things between them have changed and it's not for the better.
