In a press conference held by the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza earlier today, they confirmed that they estimate 10,000 missing people remain missing under the rubble and that, with their very limited means right now, in order to be able to locate and exhume these bodies, the operation could take up to three years. Until then, these 10,000 are not counted among the casualties.

As summer approaches, the trapped bodies are going to be a major source of illnesses and epidemics are expected to spread. Already, there are 20,000 cases of hepatitis in Gaza.

All of this of course is made infinitely more difficult by Israel blocking fuel from entering while it continues to target civil defence vehicles. As a matter of fact, Rafah now has only 3 functioning fire trucks according to a Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson.

UPDATE: Food Packages!

Hussam managed to put together 150 food packages with feta cheese, halva, biscuits, sugar, salt, yeast, cooking oil, tomato sauce, and canned legumes! He also put together another set of 200 vegetable packages.

Thanks to all your help, Hussam’s able to put together packages like these to feed the people of Gaza in the midst of such a difficult time! There’s a special message in the video to everyone, so please take the time to watch it!

I am raffling off TWO authentic kufiya’s from Palestine!! I know they are almost always sold out and I was generously sent 2, so I figured I would try to raffle them off and help a Gazan family at the same time 🤍🇵🇸

Dr. Areej, Dr. Ahmad, and their child Sarra are a Gazan family who have been suffering from displacement, hunger, and lack of medical care throughout the genocide. Along with three other members of their family — Dr. Areej's mother and Dr. Ahmad's mother and father — they are seeking to evacuate to Egypt.

You have no idea how heartbreaking and equally enraging it is to watch your mother who has been a stay at home all her life have no choice but to sell her gold and literally work day and night making samosas because my pathetic piece of a f**ther won't fully pay for the gas and electricity bills, despite the government scrapping tax credit and my mum no longer recieving it, and then you just have to watch her ruin herself, and then blame us for pointing it out or blaming us for not doing the same. The adults in my life will be the death of me.

I want to die in Gaza. I'm not very interested in my life, but please don't let me see my sisters die in front of me. Please help us evacuate them from Gaza. There isn't much money left to evacuate them. Please donate and share the campaign

"You need to get out of your scarcity mindset" Okay but what if you're surrounded by adults who overwork themselves to hospital, refuse to take your money when you offer to help because they hold onto gender roles while simultaneously take all their frustration out on you and blame you for not having a better job and especially blame you for not being able to handle the personality they've become due to an anxiety-driven workload which they decide take on willingly but you have no choice but to be present for.
