One of my favourite questlines from ff14 :D I started this draft almost a year ago, and it took a while to convince myself to take out some time and finish it. 

his big chest scar isn’t from battle, but from this inner turmoil being empowered by the DRK job stone ripping itself out of him. most of his big injuries eventually disappear from his skin somehow, but this one doesn’t, as if hoping not to be forgotten.

About the expression tips - would you be able to explain how you're moving the features around? Cause when I try to move the eyebrows for example, the two bones I have to work with can't move in a way that looks natural with the movement options I'm given, if that makes sense? Like for a surprised or worried face, raising the eyebrow bones just makes the skin and textures stretch awkwardly, but that seems to be the only way to move them? How do you make your expressions not look weirdly exaggerated? ;w;

Ok, so I want to answer this question in two parts:

Something about certain faces/eyebrow options in the character creator are easier to move than others with Anamnesis for some reason. For example, Aedric's eyebrows are longer/have an arch and are therefore easier to move around without stretching oddly, while G'raha's eyebrows are shorter and sometimes look a little weird if I move them a certain way/angle. I have spent many a night attempting to wrangle that catboy's eyebrows, let me tell you. It honestly comes with practice, as I can attest my earlier gposes don't look as good as my current ones. lol

And here's the actually helpful answer! Something you can do that's great for Anamnesis beginners and masters alike is using the vanilla expressions from good ol' vanilla gpose, itself! There's a way to do this purely in Anamnesis to get the shape of the brows/face that you want, and then you can tweak with custom posing accordingly. You get to it by selecting the arrow that I've circled in red below after you are already in gpose and have frozen your state:

Then, select the option that says "Expression."

Next, choose this purple file:

Select the Expressions folder:

Select the race/gender of the character you are posing. In this example since I have my elezen guy I'm posing, I select Elezen M:

You now have access to every vanilla expression in game!

Choose whichever you like. This can be used as a base to get started on the custom expression you want to make, as a way to get started. For this example, I chose "Amazed." This will move the face "bones" so I can use this as a base if I wanted to.

Now, with just a little custom tweaking:

In the red circle are your main "eyebrow movement" bones. These will move the inner and outer halves of each eyebrow up and down in fine-tuned increments. I honestly don't even touch the Y axis and Z axis for eyebrows ever. I only ever use X axis for brows.

For the certain tricky eyebrows I mentioned in answer 1, this technique helps move the brows to a more natural-looking place before tweaking them, especially if you're just starting out on your custom posing journey.
