Where: along Moran Way When: Eutilsday, mid morning With: open, @thehollowstarters
The Mason is dead. The words turned over and over in his mind. In the quiet of his home, something terrible had happened. No, not quite so terrible he realized after the truth had sunk in. It was more like the impossible had happened. And who made it happen? That was the real question. How or why hardly mattered now except for narrowing down who. Who, that’s what would affect the future. While he had thought that no one was capable, he was obviously wrong. He wanted answers.
Books were strewn across his usually well ordered desk. For all the knowledge they held, they held nothing that would help him with what he sought. Dojin sat quietly in his office chair, save for the tapping of the side of his thumb on the edge of the desk. There must be something, perhaps in one of the rarer books in his shop.
The chair legs made a hollow sound as they scraped against the wooden floor. Grabbing his scarf, he headed out. The sudden change from warm made him wrap the scarf a little tighter around his neck. He cast his eyes upward and squinted at the sun that was just hidden behind gray clouds. What things you have brought.
Turning the corner at the end of the street, he found himself walking behind someone who, if they were walking any slower, would be stopped. He clicked his tongue with impatience. “I see the sun is not the only thing in the clouds.”

@thehollowstarters Status: open to all Location: Local Bar in The Berg
Finally getting the chance to be out of the house now that The Frost had subsided enough to release them from their curfew. Being inside wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. Getting to video call with friends and family wasn’t the same as being surrounded by people, taking in their energy and using it to fuel herself. So despite the horrifying news, the death of the Mason, Marisol still had no trouble finding herself in one of the seedy bars The Berg had to offer. But she wasn’t alone in this, it seemed like there were many people in both high and low spirits and satiating those emotions with a drink.
And there was no better way to hear what people were really thinking than after they had a few drinks in them. Marisol wanted to know what thoughts were mulling around in people’s heads about all of this. So with two drinks in her hand, she found someone with either no drink or an empty glass in front of them and settled down next to them with her offering. “Looks like you could use a little pick me up. All of this has been so strange, huh? I feel like a good drink and good company is exactly what we all need right now.”

where: outside the vestibule of elements when: closer to midday whom: open
Isteri had been ushered around and questioned by members of nearly every faction. They didn't really have any kind of 'police force' but some elders that had been taught by the Mason himself had also questioned her and found her cleared. This didn't actually mean she wasn't guilty, but Isteri knew deep down that she was.
They had moved the body when the sun had come through enough to make it less of a taxing idea. She'd come back around and knew, somewhere deep inside, that it likely spoke of guilt on her part, but she couldn't tear her eyes (marked as they were by the minor glamor she loved so much: a galaxy flowing instead of regular pupils and irises) from the place she'd found him.
She was sure there'd been blood, but she couldn't see traces of it now. Sure, the snow might have swallowed it like everyone assumed it had swallowed the footprints of his killer(s) but...
Her fingertips come up to touch upon her collarbone, collar pulled high on her waistcoat but still form-fitting enough that she could stroke through the fabric that HE had made; what were they going to do without him?
It didn't matter who found her now, she was already forming theories.

location: the garden
Talila had grown tired of the every day life in The Covenant, she was so tired most days. It was a constant barrage of smiling at things she did not care about, giving advice to those who did not matter to her. In order to get away from it all, she found herself at the garden, a supposed place of reprieve. Consisting of mostly tourists meant that Talila could go mostly unnoticed.
She sat next to the flowerbeds in a far corner all to herself, taking tea the way that she liked it, when she noticed someone approaching. Instinctually, she turned to put on a fake smile, hoping they would not take it as an invitation. Knowing that they would.

This blog will be the home to all starters (and potentially ask memes) for the Hollow RP.
If we end up doing ask memes, though I am not sure about them because I don't know how well they'll fit the theme of a multi-para modern fantasy RPG like ours, they will be posted here first for everyone to reblog onto their own. It will be required for the responses to be more than one paragraph and pivoted into a thread (moved from the ask into a new thread for you to participate in) when you get through it. Because of this, if we do ask memes they will count towards activity because of them being jumping off points for threads.
