i wish i could say this more eloquently but watching these college solidarity encampments popping up around the world… watching university faculty use themselves as shields to protect their students from the police… watching these students put their own safety on the line to demand divestments… i’ve never seen anything like it, and every update moves me to tears.

agent reyes the man that you are 🫶

The moment they breach the warehouse, Carlos realizes they’re woefully underprepared, with backup nowhere in sight. Cunningham’s men are on them almost immediately, and Carlos is pulling his gun from his holster before he even processes it.

He sticks to the corner, climbing up a fire escape ladder and picking off agents from the back with the rifle strapped to his back. He tries to aim for a knee or a shoulder, trying to keep the carnage to a minimum. 

It isn’t long before these assholes realize who is shooting out people, and there’s a group of agents heading straight for Carlos, seemingly ready to pull Carlos off the ladder and put him down. Carlos shoots as many people as he can before he ditches the rifle, scaling down the ladder. 

Carlos drops to the floor, kicking his leg out, taking the man down in front of him, sending the other man’s gun scattering. He heaves as he stands up, clutching his side as he holds the agent down by the heel of his foot on his shoulder. “Are you going to stay down, or do I need to knock you out?”

The guy rests his head back on the floor, closing his eyes. Well, that answers that, Carlos thinks. 

He swoops down and picks up the asshole’s gun, wincing as it pulls at his ribs. He rolls his shoulders back and clicks the safety on, holstering it before taking stock around the room. 

Paul’s posted on the top edge, sniping people as quick as he can, and Grace is posted safely behind him, holding a gun of her own. Nancy and Marjan are fighting people back to back, and Carlos can see that the number of people they’re fighting are dwindling, due to Paul and his efforts. Carlos lets his guard down a little, pulling a smaller service weapon and clicking the saftey off.

After nearly two-hundred live performances spanning two international tours, Louis Tomlinson is celebrating the end of era on the road that spanned three years. On Thursday, the musician shared Live, a record captured across 15 different shows in 15 different cities.

“I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years touring the world twice over, the feeling I get sharing those live moments will be with me forever,” Tomlinson shared in a statement. “To be able to record these songs from all over the world and put them out as an album like this feels so special, and a real tribute to the fans who make each and every show feel unique and incredible. Thank you! Enjoy!”

The album features live performances from both the Louis Tomlinson World Tour — which was cut short in 2020 and resumed in 2022 — and the Faith in the Future World Tour, which kicked off in 2023 in support of the singer’s sophomore studio album of the same name. Combined, the tours included 170 shows in 47 countries across 5 continents.

Tomlinson captured performances of popular singles “We Made It” and “Walls” from his debut solo album Walls and “Written All Over Your Face,” “Silver Tongues,” and “Out of My System” from Faith in the Future. The album features recordings from London, Nashville, Vancouver, Barcelona, Chicago, Budapest, Paris, and more.

The digital version of Live is available now, with physical editions for the record set for release on Aug. 23 on a double CD and 2LP picture disc vinyl.

“Don’t you mean ‘make love to you’?” Carlos teases and means all the same. From the last hour together, he had imagined taking their time in the warmth of TK’s bed, continuing with sweetness clogging both of their throats.

“No, I meant fuck me,” TK says under a breath. His eyes go wide like he surprises himself with how demanding he sounded. “But we don’t have to. Whatever you-”

Carlos surges forward then to stop TK before he can propose to go along with anything but what he actually wants. 

“Fuck you where? Right here?” He asks against the shell of TK’s ear. “Do you want me to drive you against the kitchen island? Make you come on the countertop?” His hand slides into the wide leg of TK’s shorts and roughly massages the soft skin of his thighs. TK's breathing picks up. “Tell me exactly what you want me to do to you.”

Pupils wides, TK stares at him with unmatched hunger. He releases his cherry bitten lips and closes them. There is something on the tip of his tongue that he doesn’t seem able to form into words.

“I want to hear anything you fantasize about,” Carlos encourages again, then licks up the tendon of his neck.

TK shivers. “I want you… to rip off my clothes and suck me.”

“Here?”

“Right here. Nice and slow.”

Caros’ cock pulses. His hips move of their own volition, driving his his filling cock into the cabinets to get friction, even at the cost of pain. “What else?” 

TK hesitates then says, “Drive your long fingers into me.” He fists Carlos’ shirt. “One by one, until I’m full of you.”

“And?”

It’s not how Carlos thought today would go, not like he longs for gentleness himself right now but he still finds his blood boiling at knowing TK trusts him enough to ask for what he really wants.

Instead it's reminiscent of the first few times they hooked up, back when they barely knew each other and filth came at no detriment. Carlos grabs TK’s healthy foot dangling down beside his body and brings it between his own legs. TK immediately understands, raising his leg so the shin rests against Carlos’ bulge. Carlos gives a tentative buck, in a way that makes him see stars. TK moans too, attuned to him.

“Nancy made a comment the other day about how often you stay over.”

Carlos’ expression immediately falls and he looks off to the side, as if he’s trying to count up all the days. “I—”

“She said she didn’t mean anything by it and I promise she doesn’t mind having you around,” TK quickly interrupts, reaching across the table and grabbing Carlos’ hand. “I just thought it would be nice to make them dinner as a returned favor for the food I feed you and the extra water from you showering… you know, that kind of stuff.”

Carlos still looks uncertain, his slight frown and his big brown eyes making him look remorseful. “I don’t want to impose.”

“Baby, you’re not.”

“I could pay—”

“You are not paying for your additional portion of the water bill,” TK tells him. “It’s probably not even that much. We shower together half the time anyway so we’re probably saving money, if anything.”

Carlos gives him a doubtful look. “I don’t think we’re taking environmentally friendly showers when we’re in there together, TK.”

“Whatever. My point still stands.”

Five days ago, he promised his mother he’d stopped using again — that he’d flushed all his pills and deleted his dealer’s number, that he was ready for another fresh start.

It hadn’t been a lie at the time — not completely. He’d kept the pills but he’d locked them away, and he really had deleted some numbers; the people he knew were the worst for his health. But the emergency stash was a cloying temptation, and his resolve had crumbled within days; quicker than usual. He realised, the moment he reached back out for the pills, that he hadn’t been ready at all. He’d only wished that he could have been. He hadn’t wanted to burn his mother’s pride, to turn it all to ashes between them. So he returned the pills to the empty drawer in his dresser, and he just never told his mother. He swallowed them down in his bedroom, alone. He simply carried on keeping quiet.

“Almost a week,” she tells him now, and something in TK’s chest turns hollow, howls with the ache of the words.

“Right,” he breathes. “I guess.”

It’s messy and it’s hot, their mouths already open when they meet. He feels TK’s tongue against his own, soft and warm as it moves in his mouth, behind TK’s usual sweetness he tastes a faint musk that he recognizes as his own. It makes his head buzz a bit, to taste himself, his skin and his sweat and his come, on TK’s tongue.

When he feels TK beginning to ruck his shirt up his back he pulls back just enough to get it over his head. TK flings it over the back of the couch, laughing brightly when it gets caught on one of the horse figurines on the console table behind the couch. “Whoops.”

“Oh, a bad boy indeed,” Carlos chuckles. TK’s already moved on to his pants, pushing them down to his knees.

“You can punish me later, take these off.”

He shifts so he can push the sweats the rest of the way off his legs, then sits back to pull TK back into his lap. He makes quick work of ridding TK of his sweater and burying his face in the freshly exposed skin between his neck and shoulder. He takes a breath, breathing in the scent of his husband. The tingly tea tree of the conditioner he always steals from Carlos mixing with the faint orange blossom and vanilla of the cologne he applied this morning. It’s comforting, the smell of safety and love and home. He takes a moment, TK lets him, patting the back of his head as he waits. After a few moments of savoring, he shifts back into gear. He has a husband to take apart and put back together.
