The hard truth about autism acceptance that a lot of people don't want to hear is that autism acceptance also inherently requires acceptance of people who are just weird.

And yes, I mean Those TM people. Middle schoolers who growl and bark and naruto run in the halls. Thirtysomethings who live with their parents. Furries. Fourteen-year-olds who identify as stargender and use neopronouns. Picky eaters. Adults in fandoms. People who talk weird. People who dress weird.

Because autistic people shouldn't have to disclose a medical diagnosis to you to avoid being mocked and ostracized for stuff that, at absolute worst, is annoying. Ruthlessly deriding people for this stuff then tacking on a "oh, but it's okay if they're autistic" does absolutely nothing to help autistic people! Especially when undiagnosed autistic people exist.

Like it or not, if you want to be an ally to autistic people, you're going to have to take the L and leave eccentric, weird people alone. Even if you don't know them to be autistic. You shouldn't be looking for Acceptable Reasons to be mean to people in the first place. Being respectful should be the default.

INNERWORLD TERMS.

INTRALORE— Lore or history that has happened inside the headspace. This means any prior history the headspace has had, religions, cultures, or language, and things of that nature.

EXOLORE— Lore or history that has happened inside a metaphysical or spiritual headspace. This means any prior history the headspace has had, religions, cultures, or language, and things of that nature.

CREATED LORE— Lore or history the system has made themselves. Usually, this is made by systems who have created their headspaces, and have made their own lore or history to their innerworld.

INHERENT LORE— Lore or history the system had no part in making, and has always been there. Usually, the system have always been aware of this lore and history.

LEARNED LORE— Lore or history the system slowly discovers though learning about the system and discovering new things about the headspace. This can be inherent or created lore, but it is always learned though system discoveries.

Heyyyyyyy gang...

So this is really hard for me to do, asking for help is something I've always struggled with.

But uh, so, if you've looked at my blog or have followed me for any amount of time, you probably know that I suffer from hEDS (Hypermobile Ehler's Danlos syndrome) which means that I have extremely loose and flexible joints. This causes me a lot of severe pain even from doing basic things like walking. I use a cane to move around and for support I wear compression garments on my joints.

However, high quality compression wear is extremely expensive, and due to my recently diagnosed condition I had to quit my job for my own physical well being, and I cannot afford the compression wear I need. So, if at all possible, I'm asking for donations.

Even just a dollar would help, or a reblog, I'm getting a little desperate since school starts next week.

So, please, if you can spare anything, I just need some help. My goal is $80
