really seems like trans masc people can't even talk about their own lived experiences on this hellsite without someone coming in to accuse them of denying the existence of transmisogyny or believing trans men are more oppressed than trans women and i'm just ????

like i saw a trans man post about something he went through with his mother during his surgical transition that hurt him deeply, and some highly unsympathetic plum responded by accusing him of implying only trans men have this kind of experience/denying that trans women might sometimes experience something similar with their fathers.

and it feels as if we're simply not allowed to talk about our pain at all, ever, just to let it out and explore it for our own sake, or in an effort to heal and connect with other trans masc people. as if our trauma and oppression are not important enough to deserve articulation unless it's placed in direct comparison with somebody else's, unless we also explicitly acknowledge that they suffer too. and that's not a reasonable thing to expect of anyone from any oppressed/marginalized group.

i also think it's just weird to look at someone's original post on their personal blog talking about their actual memories of a traumatic experience and act like they've done something HEINOUS by not mentioning somebody else. like you are literally reading my diary and complaining to me that you're not in it enough??? it's MY diary, ffs.

Also tell me you don't understand the industry without telling me you don't understand the industry. Boss is contractually obligated to work with Me Mind Y who had contracts with Wabi Sabi for artist exchanges (for the lack of better terms). Those same contractual obligations do not exist with GMMTV and to my knowledge GMMTV has never had that type of exchange (correct me if I'm wrong). So unfortunately Boss, from both Me Mind Y & GMMTV's perspective, cannot work on the project. And even if they wanted to move forward with "figuring it out" it would probably take months if not years. Do you want it to be years before we get more BounPrem? I certainly do not.

Not people talking about boycotting Revamp because Boss is no longer in it??? Look I'm bummed about it too but to talk about boycotting is actually insane. If you don't wanna watch it don't watch it but don't try to make a movement behind it. Boun worked hard on getting this project greenlit and the BounPrem and Santa stans are very much excited for this series (me included). Take a chill pill and have a couple seats.
