Why did Brisco go to Harvard. Was he really smart (he obviously is but he also talks about flunking classes so.....) it was his father famous enough to swing it just cause he wanted to? I need answers.

Boy is Comet cute. Brisco isn’t too bad either!!!

so i wanted a stupid show with emotional pay off but not a lot of angst (can’t cope rn)

and so I am watching this show from my childhood called Brisco County Jr

and it’s got a lot of flavors of firefly without all the WAR and a a lot of flavors of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (because the same guys wrote it)

and anyway, I think a lot of tumblr folks would like it because it’s pretty funny and action and there’s some nice relationships

like with Lord Bowler he’s great

Brisco is not like any other main character I’ve met because he doesn’t really have a temper, he doesn’t hold a grudge. His father is killed in the first episode and he goes after the gang that killed him. Someone asks if he’s after vengeance and he says, “No, I just want to finish what my father started.” AND he MEANS it.

I’m only just re-watching it but he rarely lies and he never reacts in anger. Someone asked him if he hated the man who murdered his father and he replied, “Don’t hate him, just want to bring him in.”

He’s DEFINITELY drank his respect women juice. In the town of all women, when the sheriff wondered if he thought they were crazy he said, “I see a group of people trying to make a better place.”

Anyway it’s streaming on amazon prime and I wish more people knew about it because it’s one season of pure mindless fun and AWW. moments

One of the things that made The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. absolutely wonderful is that while it may be the most unabashedly outlandish spoof on Westerns ever, it still had villains that gave you lines like this.

I mean damn. Most shows could have a villain blow up a village and not come off as much of a heartless bastard as LaCutte does with one line!

The Evil Dead commentary is great.

I went back down and started a fire, got the coffee going.

Robert: At that moment I saved his life.

Sam: I went up there to die.
