It has been one year since the Promised Day. Things seem to have calmed down in Amestris under the leadership of Roy Mustang, the youngest Fuhrer in the history of the country. But within the past few weeks, there have been reports of strange chimera-like creatures popping up around the country, killing innocents and wreaking havoc. However, unlike the chimeras that have been known in the past, they seem to be a mixture of organic and inorganic matter. Killing them is a painstaking process taken on by the military. Where are they coming from, and who, if anyone, is creating them?

raising an eyebrow, she eyes him curiously. she knows that there had been a transfer from the east today -- those sorts of things got around quick at central.

"yeah, sure, next time," she says. ULTIMATELY, it doesn't matter if he's intruding on her smoke spot. she can't help but be a bit endeared by his flirting. she'll never deny a free cigarette, especially from a cute blond military boy.

"you one of that mustang guy's dogs?" she asks, tilting her head inquisitively. she's almost one-hundred percent sure that she's correct... she must be. she almost always is. (if there's one thing that daphne is, it's painstakingly humble.)

The tour of Central Headquarters had seemed to drag on for at least half the day, though it couldn't have been more than a few hours. It was significantly larger than the one he and his team had left in East City, and Havoc was already expecting to get lost at least once or twice. The lieutenant who'd showed them around had been accommodating and answered all of their questions, but there were certain to be more as time went on.

By the time they were led back to their office, where they'd left everything they'd brought with them in the transfer, all he really wanted was a cigarette. Still, he took the time to unpack the two boxes he'd brought along and organize his desk before finally slipping away for a much needed smoke break, and he already had a spot in mind.

While the tour didn't actually bring them to the top of the building, their guide had pointed out the stairway that led to it, and a view of the city from above might help him get more acclimated. He still planned to explore on foot later, but he still might be able to see something interesting from there. After a few wrong turns, he eventually found his way back to the steps and slowly climbed up to the rooftop.

And it looked like he wasn't the only one with this spot in mind. As he walked through the door and let it shut gently behind him, his eyes were drawn to the figure of a woman with long brown hair who already seemed to be enjoying the view. Before he was close enough that she'd be able to see his eye line well, he looked her over carefully head to toe, smiling to himself at the thought of sharing a smoke break with an attractive woman on his first day. Maybe his luck was changing, after all.

Or at least that was his thought until she actually spoke to him as he approached, staking her claim to this particular spot. Still, Havoc wasn't one to be easily dissuaded. Instead of approaching her directly, he changed course to a spot along the wall a few feet away and offered an apologetic smile as he fished out his packet of cigarettes and a lighter.

"I'd offer you one in exchange for borrowing your spot," he plucked out one of the cigarettes and gesturing vaguely to the vast empty rooftop, "but it looks like I'm a little late for a peace offering. Get you next time?" He lit it and lifted it to his lips, taking a drag with a playful gleam in his eye.

daphne takes a deep breath in as she looks over the city. bustling life happens below her; she can see the people, hear children squealing and dogs barking. the top of the building has been her favorite spot since she was a girl. her father would take her up there whenever she visited, and they would eat lunch while they watched the city below. he's gone, so to speak, but she's never stopped enjoying the view.

"this is my smoke spot."

her expression is little more than deadpan as she lights her cigarette, sparing a glance at the officer who approached her. she tilts her head towards him, her brow furrowing -- she doesn't recognize him. she can act as standoffish as she wants, but she can't quite quell the curiosity that sparks in her mind. she's been at central for a long time, and she's never seen this guy before. this can mean one of two things: either she's remarkably less perceptive than she thought, or he's new.

but... he's kind of cute. and she's intrigued.

"...newbie, huh?"

For those of you interested in a request or commission, please understand I almost never normally make this many icons by request alone, but in addition to becoming invested in the story I was considering using this character for FC purposes as well, combined with being a close friend I went all out. Please understand to receive this amount of icons I would usually ask for a commission.

I need to purchase points on Tappytoon in order to continue iconing, and thus I am unsure if these icons will be updated, unless somebody else is willing to purchase the points for me/order a commission to continue.

NOTE: For icons 38-43, which were roughly icons 755-861 are of a lower quality than the rest. The website I was reading this on seemed to have lower-resolution scans with more jagged edges. I do not know if this is how the webtoon was naturally or not, but it was enough that you might notice a drop in quality with these icons; if I purchase the webtoon I might attempt to re-icon these icons, but likely will not. I apologize for this drop in quality.
