I think it's strongly based on the fact that when he came ro school he was The Mudblood of Slytherin HouseTM, but then he leaned on his relation to Salazar Slytherin to allow his pureblooded classmates and their families to approach him, so it's like his life jacket in a fuming sea.

Plus Slytherin did say he wanted a true heir. Idk if he was a seer, I doubt it, but he did leave a human eating snake behind to kill small children in the hands of his heir, and Tom fits the bill. So maybe Slytherin doesn't know he exists, but he sure hoped he would.

tom riddle is so parasocial towards salazar slytherin like my guyyyy, he doesn't even know you exist.... 😐

I agree. There's only so much delusion can do. If voldemort 's father is a muggle, then he's a muggle. And if he's still the most powerful wizard ever, then he's the most powerful wizard ever, period.

bellatrix is more reasonable about it. oh, she's definitely a supremist, but i think if she thinks someone has proven to her that they are just as powerful, or better than purebloods, (in voldemort's case) then she will secretly make an exception as she did with voldemort. she's very practical.
