(WIP) https://linktr.ee/lvrboy_lance[This blog is mostly for Transformers/Bravern stuff but I’ll occasionally post other stuff as well]“STARSCREAM, IF YOU LET GO YOU’RE HOMOPHOBIC”
I don’t entirely know how to feel about the finale, on one hand I love that Smith did end up surviving in a way, on the other, that final scene with Smith felt too short with how important it is
Still kinda wish we got Isami time traveling (totally not going to write a fic about it at some point what?)
I feel like Bravern def would have benefited greatly from a 13th episode to allow the non battle scenes in the finale to be fleshed out more, like Isami realizing that Smith is Bravern, or Smith coming back
(I am aware this mentions an episode 13 but I don’t trust that it means we’re getting one)
ALSO THEY DIDNT HAVE GAY ROBOT SEX /j
Other than these issues I loved the finale, it was wild but very fun, it’s just a shame we didn’t get more Bravami moments
Bravern 12 comes out today so here’s some final thoughts I wanna spit out before I see it in the morning
This is mainly in regards to Lewvern’s fate
I have no idea if I’d rather have Smith or Bravern be the survivor cause Ik I’d prefer if only one of them was around and they didn’t get split into two entities
On the one hand, I absolutely love Bravern and Bravami was the whole reason I started the show, “giant fucking mech is hopelessly in love and obsessed with his pilot? Count me in!” And Bravern is just everything Smith has wanted to be
On the other, Bravern reverting back to Smith could be super important character wise. Smith’s whole deal was that he has so desperately wanted to be a hero from when he was young (he’s got a “protect those who cannot protect themselves” type mentality thanks to his parents dying because no one was there for them), yet when Bravern showed up and chose Isami over him, he realized that he “could never be a hero”, so he’d support the heroes instead. However, another person on here pointed out that Smith was already a hero, Isami’s hero.
When Smith went to save Isami from being interrogated, he became his hero, yet he had no idea as he saw Isami as the hero
So if Smith comes back, I feel like it would be so he could realize that he doesn’t need to be a giant spacetime defying mech to be someone’s hero
That’s all I had to share, it’s 2 am so this might be a bit incoherent but I just needed to put this somewhere so it’d stop rattling around in my head and I can actually sleep lmao
Alright, time to throw out every prediction under the sun
Isami goes back in time using Bravern’s core
He goes back in time to one of the following:
When he first meets Smith
Right before Smith leaves to fight Knuth
The beach
Right before Ira kills Bravern
If he goes to right before Ira kills Bravern I feel like he’ll use time travel to keep turning back the fight until it ends with Ira dead and everyone else basically unscathed
Isami says “I love you” back
Isami finds out Smith is Bravern OR he already figured it out between ep 9 and now
Bravern comes back due to time travel or smth else either as Bravern or as Smith
Bravern/Smith and Isami wedding (PLEASE)
Isami goes absolutely feral in the fight with Ira
Superbia gattai with either Burn Dragon or whatever’s left of Bravern (or maybe even both 🤷)
Happy ending for everyone (IM ON MY KNEES THEY HAVE TO HAVE ONE)
The thingy in Lulu’s hand becomes important
Isami bleeding in Bravern’s cockpit will become important
Now I’m scared to see the final two Deathdrives, cause one of Bravern’s abilities it basically plot armor making him unkillable (not unharmable, unkillable)
Im curious if the timeline we’re seeing is going to be the good ending timeline, since it might be the only one where Lulu went back in time, and all the other timelines, Bravern, Isami or the both of them die
I’m curious what’s gonna happen regarding Bravern once the Deathdrives are all dead
Like is he just gonna chill with the army? Is he gonna retire? Fight general crime? Star in a TV Show?
Cause I doubt he’s gonna want to become Smith again (if even possible), since he admires Super Robots so much
I would be worried that the government would try to kill him since they’ve been wary/untrusting of him since the start but I feel like after episode 6, where they witnessed him command ALL of their missiles like it was nothing (and probably thinking “thank fucking god he’s on our side) as well as how friendly he’s gotten with most of them/how indebted they are to him, they’re gonna leave him alone
