Nicole Opens Up About Paleo and Being an In-Season Division I Athlete
Hi guys! So i just wanted to open up and share part of my Paleo story over this past. Kenzie and I are both athletes but I am an in-season athlete currently. I have noticed that doing the Paleo diet and having my body make these adjustments and transitions has taken a bit of toll on my energy levels going into practice and games. When I am competing at the top level, I came to the realization that the Paleo diet might not be entirely realistic for me right now. As an athlete, I need complex carbohydrates to keep me fueled. Knowing myself and being honest with you guys, I decided half way through the week to switch my diet to 50-75% Paleo, but on days when I have games and longer practices, I have allowed myself to include more carbs into my diet.
