First of all, thanks to everyone who stuck around, for dealing with my insufferably inconsistent ass. I feel like I say that a lot. 

I honestly think this was a long time coming, since the beginning even. To put bluntly, it comes down to two things: it takes me way too much time to set up scenes, take screenshots, and edit them. I’m so tired after, that I didn’t even have fun. Secondly, the low engagement on my posts was extremely discouraging.

School is busy, work is busy, and I just don’t have the time or energy to maintain a story or a simblr right now. I thought this was a hobby I really liked but it takes too much out of me. At the end of the day I have other hobbies I’d rather attend to that I genuinely enjoy. And I’ve become disillusioned with the community and the energy on here is just not the same anymore. 

I’m not going to delete this blog, and I’m not technically leaving, but I won’t be posting sims content either. I might pop in to make a hot take about the sims community or the game, but no sims content. This blog was branded specifically for TMA, so no non-tma things either. I haven’t been playing my game anyway, so its not like I have other stuff to share. The blog is not going to be rebranded as of yet.

As for the future of TMA, I have no fucking idea. If I ever pick it back up again I really don’t want to go through the hassle to recreating my blog. The specifics don’t really matter right now because it won’t be in the foreseeable future. This post is already super long, so I might make a separate rambly post about my ideas another time. 

I just can’t keep promising or hoping I’ll come back “when I have time” or “maybe over the break”. Its just not realistic. i felt like I had to say that officially. 

Long story short: I’m not dead, and I still consider myself part of this community so I’ll still be here technically, but I’m giving up on being a content creator fr this time. Thank you if you read this far, I hope the rest of 2020 treats you well <3

Do I think the world looks beautiful? Yes. Do I like that you can have your Japanese sims go and actually live out cultural traditions? Yes. Do I like the CAS and Build assets? Yes! But yall suddenly cant see or hear when Asian ppl say that shit is tone deaf or offensive, when yall cram us into one little box but we have 5 worlds based on vastly different and specific western cultures. We're always an add on, we're always just a "vacation" or an "escape" and its always just scraps. Oh the one world of one culture that isnt white!
