–Austin Carter– finishing up his last homework assignment & video. Then it's bedtime. He's been on a roll with his schoolwork. He missed all of last weeks classes due to everything going in here, but never missed an assignment. Everywhere we went, we took his iPad with us so we could log into Mrs. Russell's classroom & do the assignments. Even with everything going on last week, he didn't have not one late assignment - & he didn't miss not one assignment either! He kept on it, even if I was busy. 😥 *THURSDAY NIGHT (Feb. 18th)* - My Grandma fell & we were told she only had a sprained left wrist & a sprained left knee. 😰 *MONDAY AFTERNOON (Feb. 22nd)* - My Grandma was sent back to the hospital & we found out her wrist & knee were both fractured NOT sprained. So, she has to go to a rehab facility for two weeks. 😭 *YESTERDAY AFTERNOON (Feb. 24th)* - We found my father dead in his apartment. We believe he passed away sometime around midnight or a little after. 😲😣 *SO IT'S BEEN A LONG STRESSFUL WEEK!* 🖤 But I have to brag about my Austin Carter! 🤍 He has been such a trooper through everything! He is such a good kid! He hasn't left my sife since coming home from my mom's Tuesday afternoon. 💕 Yesterday was a long day & he held himself together so well. He spent four hours sitting in my car while I dealt with the police regarding my dad's death - & while we waited for them to remove his body. He then stayed in the car with Dave for another hour while my Uncle & I went to the hospital to break the news to my Grandma about my Dad. 💔 Not once did Austin complain or get upset about all the sitting around & waiting he had to do. 💙 The only time he did complain was when it was time for dinner & he was hungry - but anyone that knows Austin, knows he loves his food, so that wasn't surprising. Lol! 🍔🍟 Then today we had to go to the funeral home regarding my dad - that took about 90-minutes. Austin was so quiet & so patient! He stayed by my side just watching & listening the whole time. ❤ He came home, ate some lunch & now he's passed out in my bed - snoring like a freight train! 💤🚂 He is a good distraction from everything going on, but he's also such a big help! 🖤 I know I've raised him right when all he wants to do is help me - he will come to me numerous times throughout the day asking if I need help with anything I'm doing! 🤍 I love this kid more than words could ever describe & I'm thankful everyday that he's mine! 💕🖤 I love you, Austin Carter!
