there’s a certain kind of leftist online who will probably be very open in their support of abolishing the police and the prison system which is valid but at the same time will @ some random celebrity or internet person and go “hey you made this bad joke or said something in poor taste 5 or 10 years ago, and im demanding you apologize for it but also if you do apologize im not gonna stop talking about it and im not gonna discourage people from harassing you and you should rot go fuck yourself” and i think they should be forced to eat garbage :)

literally im SO fucking guaranteed to be autistic. ive been working to adjust my life and balance out high blood pressure which has consistently been bad since it first got noticed a few weeks ago and right this moment i was like “hey, i wonder if high blood pressure is associated with autism.” well im no expert and just did a cursory google but uh YEAH apparently it is. IT KEEPS COMING BACK TO AUTISM.

we should normalize just identifying people as assholes. im very much in favor of holding people accountable for bigoted actions and i generally lean in support of “cancel culture” but like sometimes people try to cancel someone for being toxic? or rude? or something to that effect and hey. let’s just call that person an asshole. we don’t need to split hairs on reasons this persons career should be over, just call them an asshole and let it lay where it is. a friend of yours likes that person, you can just go “oh you’re a fan of that asshole?” and they go “yeah he’s an asshole i know, i shouldn’t like his stuff but nonetheless.” if someone is actually egregious or harassing people or saying bigoted shit then yeah get their ass but sometimes. just sometimes. they’re just an asshole.
