fun fact but i'm using three sketchbooks at the same time, one for those still life drawings, where i pick a random marker to colour, a sketchbook for anatomy and gesture studies and compositions and warm ups, and then my proper sketchbook, for sketches and composition drawings for paintings and such

i satrted using multiple sketchbooks cuz i felt like i was wasting my good sketchbook, cuz it has decent paper and stuff, so now i have a crappy one for gesture and anatomy aerhlekjhjgl

that day i got my coffee grinder, so, i could finally make coffee with my french press hihi

lil sketch today! don't think i'll finish it, but who knows lmao

it was supposed to be a meet the artist kinda thing, with what's in my bag and stuff

there's a cake in there cuz i was supposed to bring cake somewhere but i don't have anything to like transport it, so i was just gonna put aluminium foil on it and hold it in my hands (the place i had to go was 30min away by bus lmao)

anyway, didn't end up going, so i got to eat the whole cake lmao

made it myself, i got into baking after watching too much of the great british bake off lmao and thinking "i can do that too!!!" it was a cinnamon cake with apple compote and speculoos ganache and dulce de leche

oh i also grew my hair out quite a bit, so that's also why i wanted to do a new meet the artist, and my aesthetic shifted from clowns to more like frog and toad (i still love clowns tho and still draw some, but i got more muted colours clothes tyfdoytf)

i love drawing in that style, especially since i hang those drawings around my place as decor lmao

btw if you're interested in my process for those kinda drawings:

i start by looking for a pose refernce that inspires me, usually something with foreshortening or an odd angle, so i can play with that

for this one, i liked the mirror

i then sketch it out in my sketchbook, either looking for more interesting poses and adding more characters or in this case, figuring how i can make it more creepy, so ofc i added a hand where it shouldn't be, eyes and blood, my go-to's

once i have a clear idea, i sketch it out on a separate piece of paper and start planning the colours on procreate, considering i like limiting myself to the few posca markers i have

and then i finally get to colour it in, and i might add some coloured pencil on top for extra details, or shadows and stuff

painted this at a friend's house, she had a small and very shiny spoon that i just, fell in love with

like there's nothing better than a nice lil spoon, you know?

self portrait! i took the picture at a friend's house, the morning after we went to some event, i hardly slept and felt like crap, but at least i wasn't hung over!

anyway, i was tired, couldn't fall back asleep and was too cold inside the house, so i decided to go outside, where i got blinded by the sun and got scared by the amount of insects lmao

i saw a ladybug tho, which is the only insect i like and tolerate around me! which is why i decided to draw a bunch around me hihi

i finished this drawing in 3days, i made it to add to my portfolio for art school (i dropped out lmao) so it's maybe not quite as polished as it could have been, but i also have that habit of never fully finishing pieces like these, i get bored with them after some time yrfdiydtiytf ("could have been worked on more" is a comment i constantly got from my art teachers in high school lmao)

honestly, don't have much to say about this drawing! i tried recreating the vibes of the last drawing i posted, it turned out okay. definetly not my best work, but not my worst either

i had fun making it, which is arguably all that really matters

i'm planning on making at least two more drawings in that sorta style, with vibrant colours and exagerated proportions! they're gonna be xmas gifts for two of my friends, and i hope they'll like it!

one day i'll manage to have a picture of my art that looks good i swear lmao, idk why it looks so blurry (maybe it'll be fine on other devices, but on my laptop it's a blurry mess lmao) anyway, besiodes that! drew that while having an existential crisis lmao

at that time i'd just got accepted into an art school, one which is pretty hard to get into! i got in because someone else ended up not going, so i got an email informing me i got in after all, but i had alreday made peace with the fact i hadn't made it

at that time i didn't know how to feel about it, i never really wanted to continue with studies, i only did it because i got pressured by my family

after a week of going to school, i realized i couldn't do it. my mental health got really bad again, the worst it had been in months, and so i decided that it was best if i dropped out

i'm doing better now, being able to organize my day how i want/need it has helped a lot!
