Happy Halloween!

I’m pretty happy to have gotten this piece done before Halloween ends, I was worried I would not have done it on time.

Looks like a bunch of flowers have decided to go Trick’or’Treating tonight. Everyone has such lovely costumes to show off!

I decided to draw the flowers in their respective Halloween costumes, and for those with no clear costume decided, I just dropped a random costume that would hopefully best fit them, so hope ya like it!

Floweriss and Flinch once again returned back to the lab once again, where they would find their general looking at some computer screens on the opposite side of the machines.

“Greetingss again, masster. You ssumoned usss?”

“Yes, it appears I have found...a suitable world for you to aid you in your objectives.” He continues staring at the screen, analysing the data. “There appears to be some sort of Halloween party or ball in this world, seems like entities from other dimensions will be celebrating the event at this world.”

“This will be the perfect opportunity to seek out interesting and special creatures that could potentially have what we are looking for in their realms. Your bracelet has a special feature that is able to get a lock on their portal signatures, so at least it will be easier to find your desired target nstead of playing a game of “hit-and-miss” when you don’t know any alternate universes.

“Ingeniousss idea, my masster! We will head there now!”

“Don’t be so hasty...you are going in unprepared? You want to blend in with the crowd, you want to pretend to be a guest, this is how you will accomplish your mission!” He replied with a slightly stern voice.

“It is Halloween they want, it is Halloween they will get. I have ordered some tailor slaves to design the costumes of your choices. They will be waiting outside my temple”

“Wait, wait... choices?! I get to tag along too?!” Flinch excitedly bumped into the conversation.

“Yes... I decided that such a dangerous mission of scouting the surface would prove fatal to a foolish one like you” He puts his paw over his face and grudgingly continues. “You...should go with Floweriss. Besides, you could probably prove yourself more useful by snapping important photos of some of the guests there.”

Flinch erratically flew around the room in enthusiasm. “Oh yes, oh yes!! I’m coming aloooo-” before she flies into General Catazar, of which he simply puts out a paw in front of him to stop the flower in her tracks.

“THIS IS NO TIME TO BE FOOLING AROUND! It is a serious and important mission, don’t think you are supposed to be having a good time there, focus on your objectives!” He yelled furiously, wiping the smile off the now frightened flower.

“Go. Get your suits done and head to the Ball. Here’s the world’s signature, I have embedded it into your AU-travelling bracelet, Floweriss. The Ball starts very soon, do NOT be late.” He then storms off and returns to his machine, carefully observing the data pieces on the screen. Floweriss and Flinch head back upstairs and exit the temple, where two servants of fish descent and torn robes greeted them and inquired their choices...

As soon as the duo stepped out of the pyramid, Floweriss broke the silence.

“Ohhh my god, you sshould look at yoursself in the mirror, you look abssolutely ridiculousss!” He snickered.

“Oh wait, I forgot you can’t. Sstaring at the mirror would probably crack it before you even get the chance to look at yoursself!” He added before laughing hysterically. Flinch then violently shakes off her glasses before addressing the snarky remark.

“Hey, shut your mouth before I extend that tongue twice as longer as it should be!”

“I’d like to ssee you try without getting a tasste of my venom, ssmall fry!”

“Whatever, jerk face.” She vents out before continuing. “So, when are you going to set off for the other worlds?”

“Well, I plan on doing it-” Out of nowhere, his bracelet started vibrating, signalling a call from someone.

“Oh masster, it’ss you again. Hmm? Come back down to your lab again? Ssure I guesss... Bring her along too? Alright, sssigning out.”

“What did the general say?”

“He didn’t sssay much, jusst wanted uss to head back to the lab again. Let’ss go” They re-entered the pyramid palace and headed down to the lab once again, but not before Flinch quickly slipped on the camera glasses on the floor. It would, after all, be pretty devastating should she lose the glasses.

The red furred feline holds out a mysterious bracelet to Floweriss, it resembled a futuristic watch.

“You can throw that old communication bracelet away, here is a better bracelet. It is equipped with the same power to traverse to different worlds, as well as to return back home” He opens the bracelet and clips it around Floweriss’s stem.

“Ahh yess, a promotion. A humble thankss to you, masster.” He stops for a brief moment. “I am guesssing you want me to traversse to other worldss?” He inquires.

“Yes, you catch on quickly unlike your clueless sister, haha!” He chuckles back, much to Flinch’s embarrassment as she looks away.

“You see, while materials are important, I need some...key data and other substances, and I believe you would fit that job quite nicely. I have embedded a list of items I need from the other universes. These items are, quite basically, essential to power up my flagship, and it cannot run properly unless you acquire these items.” He pauses briefly to recap what he wanted to say.

“My scientists did some quick research on the other dimensions, and they seem to hold some new tech that could aid us. Your mission is to somehow acquire at least the blueprints of those tech, or even steal them. This goes the same with the list of items I need you to obtain for me. Knowing your slyness, you can deceive those inhabitants and somehow acquire them.”

“I am honoured, my masster. I will not fail!” Just as flower wanted to salute off, the other interrupted.

“Wait, WAIT! But what about me? Floweriss surely would need me and my intelligent mind”

“Intelligent mind?! Pffft don’t make me laugh ssisss!”

“HEY, DON’t UNDERESTIMATE MY -”

“SHUT THE FUCK UP, BOTH OF YOU! THIS CHILDISH BICKERING WILL GET NONE OF US ANYWHERE!!” Both of the flowers immediately went silent and stared at him in shock.

“You want to prove yourself useful? How about scouting the surface and taking viable screenshots of the human devices with this camera?” He puts on what seems to be sunglasses onto the bat flower.

“The sunglasses should now be linked to your mind, all you have to do to take a picture or record is to simply think in your mind that you want to take a picture or record. It is as simple as that, do you understand?” He points a finger (or paw) at Flinch threateningly, expecting a correct answer.

“Y-yes, of course master! Couldn’t have been any clearer than that!” She replies in fear.

“Good, you two are now dismissed and free to do your missions. I expect success from both of you.” And with that, the flowers saluted their master before heading back the way they came.

A dark red cat steps out of the shadows. His eyes focused on the two flowers as he slowly walks towards them. The sound of metal echoed throughout the medium-sized room as he took each step. He puts his paws together and puts on a smile, revealing his teeth.

“Greetings my minions”

Instinctively, Floweriss and Flinch bowed down to him by tilting their heads toward the floor.

“Greetings, great masster, we are honoured to be ssumoned by you today” They both hailed at the same time, remaining in their “bowed down” positions.

“Before we continue, what is the status of the raid?”

“Raid sstatuss ssuccesssful. However, the people inssisst they have run out of materialss” There was a slight tremble in his voice as he spoke, fearing the upbringing of slight bad news would upset the general.

“What a disappointment, but it was expected. These foolish peasants would eventually not keep up to their quota” His voice now pierced with a tinge of frustration.

“But, that is why I called you here.You are here to witness the evolution of new technology, and to be my first test subjects...” He continues, now returning his grin. Floweriss and Flinch kept silent as they listened to the words of their master.

“This new machine I have spoke of is finally in operation. Fueled by the very same darkness the gem I forged emits, this intricate device allows entities from other dimensions to communicate with this dimension.” He turns towards the massive device, a mess of wires and pipes running through its internal system, it lets out a continuous low humming sound.

“Not only that, but have you seen the pirate ship outside?” Flinch then turns her head up to face the cat with a confused look.

“But, that war machine outside looks nothing like a ship...”

“That’s my flagship you idiot! I am talking about the one behind it!” He suddenly raises his voice. The bat flower was petrified, and retreats to her state of bowing.

“Yes...the pirate ship, Aeternalis is its name. To briefly explain it, it is a ship that is capable of traversing to other universes. Using it’s massive cannon loaded in front, it blasts weak fabrics of space and time open using void energy, ripping it apart to serve as a gateway to other universes. It is also equipped with an anchor of special material that can withstand the tunnels between the universes, so that it can pull the ship back to our dimension.” He puts his hand behind his back and looks up to the ceiling.

“The soldiers will be boarding that ship to travel to other universes in order to harvest materials from them. You, however, will not be boarding that ship. I have other plans for you” He winks at them, before turning back to grab something out of the mysterious machine...

After a short while of traveling, the duo finally reached the land of Dunes. A colossal pyramid could be spotted in the horizon of a few sand dunes, and perching on top of the ancient relic sits a red gem of unidentified purpose. A blanket of crimson red darkness shrouds the area as the mysterious gem blasted a beam of dark energy up into the cavern.

“Ah, what a beauty sshe iss!” Floweriss cheered as the duo crawled closer and closer to the massive pyramid.

“Yes, indeed, indeed! Our master is a genius when it comes to constructing these sort of structures” Flinch replied with enthusiasm.

Finally, the pair arrives at the pyramid palace. Surrounding the palace were numerous squads of anthropomorphic cats, all equipped with crimson red plates of armour, wielding different sorts of weapons ranging from morning stars to basic swords. Some squads were resting, checking their weapons and all. Others were performing standard military drills of marching. A few of them were even practicing against each other using sword dummies.

Sitting beside the pyramid was a colossal looking machine half the size of it. It doesn’t seem to be complete yet, judging by the numerous massive weapons sitting beside it as construction workers struggled to lift each of them up and insert them into the machine.

Floweriss and Flinch entered the pyramid, but not before having to verify their identity to the 4 slightly larger cat warriors guarding the entrance. They make their way through a dark hallway, illuminated only by a few dim torches. At the end of the tunnel, they take a usual series of turns. Left, right, right, left, down the stairs...into the basement of the pyramid.

“Masster, we are here!” He yells into the darkness. Within seconds, torches that seem to be extinguished magically reignited, bringing light into the room...

As the snake flower was speaking through a somewhat peculiar looking device that appeared to resemble that of a bracelet, fluttering right out of the sky was none other than another strange flower.

“Oooh! Oooh! What’s he saying? Are we getting commended for pulling off another successful raid? Can I-”

“Oh my god, ssshut your freaking trap while I’m sspeaking, you missserable-” He interrupts, before stopping for a second and giving the bat-like flower a death stare before returning back to his conversation. “Yessss my massster, what about thisss machine you ssspeak ssso highly of? Aha...” The other flower didn’t seem to care too much in following the conversation, moreover seemed frustrated.

“Psssh fine, I was just asking. You don’t have to be such a brat” She responded, though it seems he hasn’t heard or is purposefully ignoring her. Either way, she flaps her wings onto a house and settles there while sulking.

Some time in the middle of the call, the surroundings flashed white and got distorted for a moment. Floweriss was surprised for a moment.

“Oh, that’ss causse you sswitched on the machine...? We will now hear voicess? What are they? You’ll tell uss when we get there? Ok ok...” He continued speaking...

“Alright, we’ll head on over. Flowerisss sssigning out!” He spoke, before turning his head upwards to find that annoying flower perched on the ledge of the house.

“Oi, quit your sssulking and come back down here. I’ll give you the ssscoop.” he raises his voice so that she can hear from up above. Though it was only a few minutes ever since she was blatantly insulted at, she flies back down with excitement spelled out in her eyes.

“Ohh boy ohh boy! What did he say?”

“I’ll explain it to you along the way back, the general needsss to speak to usss there.”

“Although, he did sssay that we may or may not ssstart hearing voicesss in our headsss. Hisss project on thisss ssstrange machine hasss apparently been completed, and that’sss what’sss causssing thessse voicess.” He continues.

“Voices? I don’t hear anything”

“Give it sssome time you doofusss. I sssaid “may”, not “will”! Are you even lissstening, or do I have to whip you again like the other day?”

They slithered and they flew out of the devastated city, while the city’s residents trembled in fear as the remaining raiders, who were either plant or monster, continued their onslaught on the city’s precious resources.

“Come on, I know you have it, quit with your BULLSSSSSHIT LADY!”

Standing at the entrance of a house that seems to be made entirely of colourful coral, decorated by numerous small gems that glittered in reflection of the mysterious stalactites that loomed above and provided the city’s only light source, stood a lady monster who resembled closely to a squid, but was anthropomorphic. Standing in front of her? A snake-like creature, appearance seemingly influenced by that of a flower, staring right back at her.

“I- I don’t have any, r-really! Y-you took our precious m-m-metal just yesterday! H-how do you expect us t-to even replace th-them so soon?” She trembled as she spoke, her voice stuttered towards the infuriated flower.

“Ssso, you really don’t have metal?” He raises an eyebrow, all while his tongue slithered in and out of his mouth. “Well then, I guessss your houssse will have to do!” And with the whip of his tail, he smashes part of the door apart and relentlessly continues. “NOO, STOP, PLEASE! THIS IS OUR ONLY SHELTER!” Her screams echoed through the city’s streets, no reply ever heard, the ongoing raid silenced all the citizens of the unfortunate city.

And, as fast as he started demolishing her house, he stopped. Seems like a device in his own inventory was buzzing, attempting to catch the flower’s attention. He sighs with frustration, muttering a short “What now” before answering the call...

Long time ago, there lived two races, humans and monsters. The tale tells of how an ancient war broke the bonds of peace between the two, forever scarring the history of monsters and humans alike.

The bloodshed of the war took a major toll on the monsters, for the monsters were weak, and the strength of many monsters would barely level with that of a single human’s. The monsters were imprisoned under a forsaken mountain by a powerful magical barrier, dooming them for eternity from freedom as it could only be shattered using the magical properties and power of 7 human souls. No human ever spoke of this ever since, except for a rumour that anyone climbing up the mountain would perish.

The monsters, now captive under the mountain, discovered 7 unique environments. Monsters were divided and lived in each of these environments depending on their magical status. Such lands were appropriately named by the king: Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland, Treetops, Dunes and Underwaterfall.

Many years later, the 7th child that fell into the Underground managed to somehow shatter the magical barrier, releasing the monsters onto the surface and establishing a more passive connection between the present generation of humans and themselves...

...except, not everyone was aware of this blissful freedom. The monsters in Treetops, Dunes and Underwaterfall remained unaware of this, shrouded by a blanket of blindness by the corrupted general who ruled the lands by pure strength and propaganda...

His minions spreading terror within the remaining lands, mutant plants following the dark regime of their general, completely deluded and controlled by the beast. This story begins, a twisted one, that all begins within the root of evil...

And so it begins...
