More designs for these guys, since I got nothing else to do UwU
Sly's wearing his mom's locket, as a Constable, so he has some part of his past with him. Dude misses his life while staying with the love of his life. Hard times.

He loves his new shirt, because his dad IS alive and he DOES love him (he doesn't know) (tragedy awaits)

Small life update! I have a job now, I make blankets! Not gonna say where, just live in fear that any blanket you buy could have been made by me.
On a less positive note, I do have COVID, a mild strain, but still COVID.

He snatched some spare fabric from a shop, and slipped into the abandoned spice home. Quickly getting to work in making his disguise, he didn't want to risk getting recognized again.
He was happy to be in civilization, but he really couldn't have everyone thinking he was royalty. He did his best to make himself comfortable in his new hideout. At least he wouldn't be melting from the heat anymore.

Sand, sand, and more sand. That's what he hated about this place. Not to mention how hot it got. Sly scaled up the side of the building as quickly as he could, giving him a good view of the town.
It was strange not having Bentley to give him a plan of action, he was flying solo now and he really, really, hated that.
"Okay. Just like before. Find my ancestor, and find a way out of here. How hard can it be?" He said to no one as he hurried along above to the town, wishing he had someone to tell him where to start looking.
As Sly perched up as high as he could get himself, he began to scan for any signs of a thief.

"If only I had Bentley here. He'd make something useful." Sly grumbled to himself as he slinked through the shadows of the city, "Maybe I should have paid more attention to him explaining technical stuff."
He crept further into the city and further away from the one that had brought him here, thankful for the shadows, not just for hiding for the break from the heat they brought.
"Hideout...hideout..." He hummed quietly as he looked for a useful, secret, spot, "Disguise too... That'd be good."

With a tight smile, Sly slowly began to stand up on the back of the camel, he carefully balance before flinging himself off and dashing into the shadows, vanishing from view.
He practically held his breath as he slipped away, avoiding any main streets, "Just what I need. Living relatives the happen to be royalty." As cool as they were, this did add a new challenge to this ordeal.

His ears fell back as he watched the world rush around him, trying to think of any way he could lie his way out of this. His eyes fell in the statue and he huffed, this was going to be difficult.
Especially when he heard that....
"Oh, no, no! That's uh, not really all that necessary! Honestly!" He laughed awkwardly, "I'm sure he can handle not seeing me for a bit longer, nothing to worry about!"

He wiped the blood from his face as he slowly came to his knees
He said "I’ll be back when you least expect it
And hell's coming with me
Hell's coming with me."
A Fucking baller song that made me think of Sly Cooper when I heard it, also it's just fun to listen too.

Sly leaned away from him slightly, looking just as panicked, he hadn't expected the sudden reaction.
He held on a bit tighter as the camel picked up speed, "Whoa, now! Is it really that serious? I mean, I'd love to meet the family but, maybe we could just take it easy?" He hadn't exactly developed a plan, bit as always, he was ready to make it up as he went.

[In my Penelope isn't actually a traitor AU]
Sly paused in his endless wandering, a familiar shape sat curled up on the hillside, their head buried in their arms and their tail curled around them.
He stepped closer, recognizing them immediately, "Penelope...?"
The mouse jumped, her head whipping back to see him, "Sly?! How- why- What are you doing here?!"
"What are you doing here?" He lifted his cane, unsure how to feel, "You're not trying to take over this time too, are you?"
"No!" She nearly yelled, practically flying to her feet, "I didn't want to do any of that! I didn't..." She fell back to the ground, "I wasn't myself, I... He said nothing would happen to you guys, that Bentley would be safe... If I just did what he asked..."
Sly almost didn't want to believe, and yet, she looked so heartbroken, he couldn't help but be reminded of Bentley. He sat down in front of her, resting a hand on her shoulder.
"Penelope, what exactly happened back there?" He asked, looking serious but worried.
"I dunno... I was kidnapped, La Paradox wanted my help, really he wanted Bentley's blueprints but he was too stupid to ever make them himself. He never told me what he was planning to do, but he said he knew where you, Bentley, and Murray all were and.." She rubbed her eyes, "I was scared, I didn't want anything to happen to you guys. But the more I worked under him, the worse it got," Penelope glared at the ground, "until next thing I know! I'm in some stupid mech! In a completely different time! With no way to get back! Unless I do his dirty work!" She slammed her fist into the ground, gritting her teeth.
Sly leaned back in surprise, "After we fought your mech, where'd you go?"
"Got surrounded by his goons, he sent me here to get me out of his hair. Guess he knew that if I joined you guys, I'd be able to get my revenge." She shrugged, "Been laying low in this time ever since. Why are you here?"
"La Paradox played dirty. To no surprise." Sly rested his chin in his hand with a grumble, "His time machine blew up and I was caught in the blast, now I'm here."
"With no way home..."
"Yeah..." Sly huffed.
For a long moment, the pair was silent, it was nice to see a friend, but they were still stuck. Both of them felt hopeless, but there was someone they wanted, no had, to get home too.
Sly shook his head, "No, we're not gonna wallow here!" He took hold of his cane and pushed himself to his feet, "We're gonna find a way to either get our friend's attention in present time, or get ourselves back there!"
Slowly Penelope stood, "Can we really?"
"Doesn't matter if we can, we have to!" Sly grabbed his shoulder, "Penelope, you're a genius, I know you can rebuild that machine, and I can get you anything you need for it. No matter how long it takes, we're getting home!"
For a second, she looked excited, but her face soon fell again, "Do I even have a place with you guys back home?"
Sly looked her dead in the eyes, "I'll make sure you do. We'll clear your name, I swear to it." He then smiled holding a fist up to her, "We're a small team, but we've got this!"
"Yeah..!" She bumped his fist with her own, "We got this!"

✏️ + Custody
[Hrrrmmbb. This is a hard one. But y'know, I am a kiddo of divorced parents, so I'll do my best!]
"I don't know how I feel about this..." Carmelita said as she carefully closed the door to her children's bedroom, after having put them to bed, "I understand your fear, but you need to be in their lives."
"I know, I know. And I will be! It's just..." Sky shrugged and scratched his head, "The less their connected to me, the safer they are..."
Carmelita stepped past him, her heart heavy as she walked to the kitchen, Sly following behind her. He had a very similar look on his face, both of them looking grief-stricken.
"Being a Cooper is what lead to me losing my parents when I was young. I don't want to risk that happening to them..." Sly leaned onto the table, resting his head in his hands.
Carmelita reached out, resting a hand on his shoulder, "Clockwerk is dead, we watched his remains decay right in front of us. You're safe.."
"But I still have enemies, and there's no telling when, or if, any of them will break out and come after me." Sly looked into her eyes, he didn't want this either, but he was scared.
For a moment, Carmelita was silent, retracting her hand, finally, after an agonizing minute, she spoke again, "You're right... I hate that you're right, but you are." She rubbed her face, "I hope you know I'm telling them all about you."
"Heh, I expected nothing less...!" He chuckled sadly, "Of course I'll visit, but living here would be dangerous." He looked back at their room, "Think either of them will want to be a thief?"
She followed his gaze and shrugged, "Only time will tell, love."

Sly couldn't help but smile back, brushing fur away from his own eyes. For a brief moment, he thought back to Sesur-sati's confusion over his cane, wondering just what his ancestor here was up too.
"Good to meet you, I'm Sly Cooper." He gave a small wink when he said his name, "Just call me Sly."

"You could say that, I guess." Sly chuckled. He squinted at the city, trying to get a good look at it from where they were.
After ages of walking through the desert, seeing a civilization almost didn't feel real. He wouldn't be surprised if this was some dying hallucination, but that did seem unlikely.
"Beautiful place you guys got out here.."
