“‘But behind the faculty library, there is a garden open only to professors and their families. And in this garden, there is a fountain. When Master Haywood needed to do some work at the library, I would read in a corner of the garden. And sometimes I would play with the water of the fountain and make it look to those inside the library as if it had started to rain.’ ‘I always knew you were rotten.’ 'Oh, to the core.’”

if you ever think about sending me an ask and decide not to cause “oh she doesn’t care” or “oh I don’t want to bother her” literally I’m the loneliest piece of shit you can find and would still love you if you sent me the word nuzzle over and over again

Legit. Why?!?!?!?!
Why does the Throne of Glass fandom exist when It was one of the crappiest books ever written with every clique know to man and Mary sues written everywhere when the Elemental Trilogy was close to perfection but somehow not enough people have realized it.

it’s still the funniest fucking thing to me that Titus, Iolanthe, Kashkari and mrs Hancock all thought West was the Bane and they were freaking out and having their top-secret meetings and everything and in the end it just turns out he was just gay and had a massive crush on Titus

The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas My rating: 5 of 5 stars Breathtaking, mind-numbing, heart-pounding. Oh my gad. I’ve waited so long for this book and the wait gave me really high expectations and it didn’t disappoint! If you are reading this, beloved, then the worst has happened and I can safeguard you no more. Know that you have been the best part of my life and I have no regrets. Feel the shock. Feel the pain. Because this is just from the first chapter of the book. After the hopeful epilogue from The Burning Sky, this book started with too many questions to ponder, my mind just stopped functioning! What happened??? Where the hell is Titus?!? Why can’t Iola remember anything!?? WHERE THE HELL IS TITUS?!! This book started completely blank as our elemental mage is apparently lost in the Sahara desert with no memory of anything even her name – just that she should never be captured by Atlantis. And yes, she came to with a start alone. With regards to badassery, now that Iola is willing to bring down the Bane, I expected a lot more action in this book. Well, I did get the action but the events leading to this impossibly thrilling display of our elemental mage’s greatness was very much unpredicted! This sequel would just first try to break everything that had been formed on the first book as Titus discovers a hole in his interpretation of his mother’s visions especially his assumption of the Chosen One. Your imagination is your limit here, though. But, honestly, Iola’s powers had me like It was stunning really, the way this book progressed. The chapters were alternating on past and present and the timeline just converged a few chapters before the ending. This style was very effective in keeping me turning the pages. The words were magnificent, too. The classic English feel is retained and the feelings just go as deep. The romance wasn’t just the giddy type here; most of it was actually extremely painful – a test of trust, a question of choice. The way these conflicts were written will really grip your heart. (I actually hated Titus a bit in this sequel. I just feel like he deserved a punch to the face.) Worry not, though, the giddy romance was still as jasgdahsdgjas as the first book. My favorite supporting character for this book was Kashkari, though. He had been such a courageous and determined character! In fact, I almost shipped him with Iola. After all, the Domain doesn’t need a prince who is blinded by his unwavering dedication to follow a prophecy. Kashkari is definitely a character to behold. On the contrary, this book delved so much deeper into the story which might actually be an overload of information for readers especially with its twists and unusual use of words. Better read slowly though and just note the blurry parts. They’d eventually clear out once you get the view of the whole thing. I’m not even sure if everything presented in this book is to be believed in because memory spells had been involved but I’d say the revelations just made more sense after reading the book the second time around. I guess we’d just have to wait for perfect clarity once the last book comes out :D Overall, I am nonetheless beyond glad that my Titus and Iola ship continues to proudly sail the perilous sea as my heart frantically and furiously beats due to the romance, adventure, magic and lastly, the shocking revelations(twists) that I never expected! Titus was just the man, like OMG.
The night you were born, stars fell. The day we met, lightning struck. You are my past, my present, my future. My hope, my prayer, my destiny.
It might be too much for you, BUT NEVER FOR ME! OMG. And these lines,
For me, you are – and always will be – everything worth living for. And for me, you are – and always will be – everything worth fighting for.
The emotions were oozing and I keep stopping to breathe before the feels swallow me. Really painful start and a very exciting ending, I can’t wait for the next (and last) book! You know, the ending just had me and then, So my final rating: 5 undeniably compelling stars! View all my reviews
