And so, if there's still that song you see him inside every time it plays, maybe that's okay because you are human and you made a mistake; you both did. That song, it speaks to a lot of good and beautiful things from those times that seem like they're gone forever, that you'll never have again. And maybe it can be okay to grieve and give yourself the room to grow, maybe all those things you've lost can be returned, albeit in different ways. Forgiveness and closure may never come, and so maybe, they need to come from you.
