alright I need help choosing a name for my fic

basically Shadowpeach arranged political marriage but Macaque is pretending to be a woman to spy on the monkey king while Wukong pretends to be a straight guy

here are my ideas so far

fully heterosexual marriage

most honest married couple

the king and his “queen”

The “Queen” of flower fruit mountain

I “love” my “wife”

Would be funny in the arranged marriage au for some to see how uncomfortable macaque is as a woman and think maybe she's a Trans guy.

Other, I like the first two titles the best

As much as I love trans headcannons I just can’t get behind transfem Mei. Her backstory about always wanting to ruff and tumble but not being allowed to because she’s dragon royalty and all the stuff about her feeling like she can’t be what her parents and ancestors want her to be is so distinctly something you get from being raised with the expectation of girlhood. The show doesn’t say it directly but, at any point she could’ve mentioned needing to be a “lady” and it would fit perfectly with the narrative.

But you guys can still headcannon whatever you want if it makes you happy, just wanted to put my feelings into words.

amnesia rules is so much funnier if you think of it as Sun Wukong’s reaction to one of his brothers calling him a manipulative jerk and asking him him to be more enthusiastic.

Like, imagine the whole episode he was just doing an elaborate bit that Tang and Pigsy didn’t get because they didn’t know how Sun Wukong normally acted.

some moments that stick out with this context

Wukong shaking his master saying “you have to remember!” After getting the smallest hint he might not

His true self comes out when pigsy suggests bonking him on the head “what’d you say Piglet”

him spending all night talking to the Sage after finding out where his master is (it’s almost like he was trying to take as long as possible)

Him nonchalantly eating while the demon monologues, clearly not actually scared for his masters safety.

“Eating me won’t make you immortal,” “of course it will! He’s the great monk Tang Sanzang!” Again it’s like he WANTS his master to be eaten, or at least ruffed up a bit (depends on when in the journey he is)

He only attacks the Scorpion Queen after his staff is broken

“We’re friends?” “Of course we are! Everyone needs friends! Can you imagine what I’d be like without friends? I’d probably turn into a real manipulative jerk or something,” it’s like he’s quoting someone

Need help deciding Macaques Backstory

so I’m planning a spite filled arranged marriage Shadowpeach fic and I need help deciding how Macaque gets in this situation

Jist of Option 1

Macaque was a local cryptid in the mortal realm, luring people in with his shadow plays and taking their souls to use as power.

Macaque was adopted and raised in a demon village with limited knowledge celestial going’s on.

He did however killed a celestial maiden on accident (she was disguised and he didn’t know until after) which is where he got most of his power. 

He was the most powerful in his village so he did a lot of the hunting to pay back for them raising him.

He also adopted his own two monkey siblings off the street named Rumble and savage

Eventually he was arrested for the murder of that celestial maiden and sentenced to death

That’s when he is given a deal by The Gold Star of Venus: he marries Wukong and spies on him for the celestial realm, they forget about his crimes and let him and his siblings work in the celestial realm.

He agrees

Macaque grew up on the streets of a demon town before being scouted as not a demon but a celestial 

He then got training to be a celestial soldier

Training stopped when he learned how to use his past/future hearing

He then became a prophet in the celestial court

He met Rumble and Savage when they were on trial for stealing hundreds of artifacts

Rumble and savage were trained to be soldiers and Macaque became their writing tutor

He got very close to them becoming pretty much their parent.

After Wukong stole the staff Macaque was asked to use his past hearing to give a neutral opinion/

One day (post great sage incident) The Jade Emperor, hearing of his abilities, asked about how worried he should be about this “brotherhood” 

It’s a lot of information but he does make out the Jade Emperors death and Azure Lion becoming the next Emperor

Macaque, knowing he will be blamed for this, runs from heaven

The Celestial army tries to arrest him several times but it always ends in massacre, letting heaven know just how powerful their little prophet is

At some point The Gold Star of Venus approaches him with a deal: he marries Wukong and spies on him, they forget about his crimes and let Macaque back into heaven with a higher position.

Macaque, missing his kids, agrees.
