got a comment on my instagram post today saying “it’s so unfair she is ace”… there’s a lot wrong with that statement, for starters it makes me feel really uncomfortable. but it also includes a major assumption about all asexual people that’s just not true and i always like to use that as an opportunity to educate people. for any other sexuality, it isn’t about how much sex you have, so why do we still assume asexuality is about having no sex. it’s about sexual attraction (and let’s not forget sexuality is a spectrum and some ace people still experience sexual attraction), which doesn’t tell you anything about someone’s comfort with intimacy. how about we let ace people be, and stop speculating on their sex lives at all because it’s no one’s business either way. we can talk about ace people without jumping to conclusions about their sex lives and reducing the whole community to “people who don’t have sex”. it’s not accurate representation. this also isn’t me saying anything about my own private life, my point is you never know! i wish people wouldn’t speculate about it at all because it makes me very uncomfortable and it’s not something you need to know about me!! so let’s all stop assuming and spreading misinformation and let people tell you about themselves if they feel comfortable and let it go if they don’t ❤️

it’s a very interesting read! it’s called Rage Becomes Her. i’ve never been angry by nature, or rather i would keep my anger internal and talk it away in my head by finding ways to excuse others mistreatment of me, but it’s important for everyone to find healthy ways to express every emotion. anger isn’t bad. it’s a positive driving force for change!

i’m seeing my extended family for the first time in what we counted as 15 years(!!!) and it’s been so wonderful. we live all over the country (and in other countries) and we don’t see each other except when someone gets married or dies but we decided it’s been too long and we wanted to have a family reunion for the first time. it’s brought me so much joy to see everyone again. i hope everyone’s doing well ❤️

I’m sorry I’m an asking this since I probably shouldn’t. But I thought you were asexual? So why were you dating.. am I missing something about asexuals? Please tell me because I love a house that’s very Christian and they don’t tell me anything about the lgbt community, but i want to learn more

you seem to be missing something big! asexuality is somewhat complex, but absolutely asexuals date and why wouldn’t they if they experience romantic attraction! asexuality means you experience little to no sexual attraction, which is different from romantic. it also doesn’t mean all asexuals don’t have sex. it’s a spectrum! asexuals can date very successfully and even date non asexual or allosexual people successfully too! it’s all about compatibility, and you have to get to know every individual, asexual or not, to know if you’re compatible!
