Another thing I forgot to add is that Howling is actually older than Saphelia. During Passage, Howling was 17 while Saphelia was only 15 at the time.

Saphelia had her height physically modified in order to fit in more with the veterans skykids due to her insecurities as a moth. She still kept her height once the season of Passage was over but attracted a lot of other moths and chibi skykids as a result.

Howling was adopted by the Passage Guide a few days after she fell from the sky so she had someone looking after her. Saphelia, on the other hand, was pretty much alone from the start and had to rely on herself.

She and Howling started around the same time the season started, but Saphelia wasn't as proactive with the Rite of Passage as Howling was. Howling only stuck with her because Passage Guide instructed her to in order for Saphelia to open up to the group more. For the most part, Saphelia only showed up for the first portion and was pretty much absent throughout the whole thing, only showing up to pester the young spirits.

Saphelia's absence was from her spending more time with the older skykids and trying to be like them. By that time, Passage Guide had enough of her insubordinate behavior and asked her to leave. The spirits tried to persuade them into giving her another chance, but unfortunately resulted in Saphelia lashing out at them for defending her. It was only a few days later when Howling decided to go after her to talk some sense into Saphelia and hopes to bring her back.

I wouldn't say that they stuck together after the end of Passage, but they have became close friends since that day. Nowadays, Howling spends most of her time at the Eye of Eden helping moths. Saphelia spends most of her time being the social butterfly she was meant to be.

I'm hoping to make this into a fanfic which explains Howling and Saphelia's backstory and little Calliope as well.

The original gang has some small side stories with them goofing around, but the apocalypse gang i expanded more on

so get this, sky was doing all great before suddenly a calamity happened (i know it’s not original i’m sorry😩) and everyone kinda died???? skykids can’t be reborn when they die and they also can’t fly as well lol so it’s just the 3 of them (meji only shows up in a flashback) trying to survive both the world they’re in and their freak creator (i love death)
