I'll need to disagree with you on that last part. droids are sentient beings and functionally people. There are multiple arcs both in legends and canon about droids fighting for their rights. Droids and clones have almost identical rights and are equally disposable. R2-D2 is a childhood friend of anakin, and has long since been by his side. he has shared with him many secrets and never erased his memory. R2 has also been deeply loyal. it makes perfect sense to me that R2 takes priority over rex. he'd probably take priority over ahsoka. i dont think Anakin discriminates based on species (clone, droid, etc), he discriminates based on attachment. Rex doesnt serve Anakin, he serves the republic. He happens to do so alongside Anakin and they've had time to form a bond, but they are fundamentally members of seperate organisations. meanwhile R2 is Anakin's droid. He belongs to him and thus the loyalty is comfortably secure in Anakin's mind.

Anakin doesnt care about losing Rex because losing him was always part of the deal, and Anakin doesnt attach himself to people if he knows they'll leave him. Its how he's learned to prevent himself from getting hurt emotionally.

Unfortunately the stark fact is that Anakin objectively did treat the clones worse than other jedi did. That he was pretty good with them for three years might make him better than Krell but I doubt other jedi would have been prepared to override their free will entirely to force them to kill little kids. You can’t just… ignore that when looking at his relationship with the clones.

At the end of the day he cared about the clones the same way he cared about the jedi. He cared about Rex the same way he cared about Ahsoka and Obi Wan. He cared, just not enough not to betray them and kill them. He valued their lives, but not as much as he valued his needs.

Tau body type headcanons:

The fire warriors are bred for battle so reproduction is a function. as a result there is no need for mate attraction and they have very little differences between the sexes. A male and female fire caste tau is almost indistinguishable, except for the few female fire caste members born with the Y-shaped face slit.

The earth caste, air caste and ethereal caste have different face slits based on birth sex. I-shaped for male, Y-shaped for female.

The water caste have the most difference between the sexes, having evolved to resembled the species they spend the most time with. this is to seem more palatable to them. The example here is for water caste members adapted to humans.

Fire caste members have a very muscular body and are fast. Earth caste members are shorter and heavier, closer to a body builder in stature. They are built for stamina and strength, not speed. The water caste has softer skin, far thinner than the usual leathery texture of other castes. They're closer to humans in height and build. The air caste is fragile and thin due to their hollow bones. They have adapted to spend their lives in space. They have a vestigial skin membrane. This is a remnant of the membrane wings they had before the tau took to space. The ethereal caste members are skinny yet fit, with greyer skin. Their greatest difference is the red gem-like organ in their forehead.

Anville town’s host to a train festival every half decade, where trains of all sorts are displayed to the masses. Not just your casual Unovan trains, but the ancient behemoths from as far as Kanto, lugged by a team of conkeldurr, lovingly dismantled and reassembled by klinklangs and rotoms.

Ingo and Emmet love it.

(The twins drag Elesa out to see the trains a full week before the official festival. They had prior experience being stuck in traffic and do not intend to repeat that incident.)

When you’re both modeling and designing, sometimes you just want to use your very muppet shaped friends as inspiration.

Tis but the first draft! There are more coats to try.

Elesa added weighted beads to the end of the coats so they swing real good. Yes, the first draft is hand sown, and yes, it was a nightmare. She can and will talk about it given the chance.
