i think not enough fanworks with clownpierce in them have really delved into just how much of an unreliable narrator he is. because that's the biggest thing i noticed, specifically with the cleansing and all of the late season 3 stuff that follows - hes REALLY unreliable! hes selfish and greedy and paints people in the worst light possible. to be fair the cleansers were sketchy AS HELL, but it goes beyond just the cleansing. in tubbo's vod, when tubbo was attempting to mediate the server, clown was pretty consistently using his friendliness to get tubbo on his side and to paint everyone else as aggressors; during the mediation at true spawn, clown and zam had this exchange, which I think sums up clown's energy that stream very well

like!! c!clown is such a fascinating and fucked up creature and i am going 2 study him like a bug and i also think that his biases and unreliability are a very overlooked aspect of his character

if i had time or energy to invest, I would be SUPER curious to see some kind of visual diagram of people's mcyt journeys and what paths are more common and which are more unusual. Some of it would probably also be time-sensitive, as those who have been in the fandom for a longer time may have started with, say, Etho or Bdubs or other MindCrack folk and migrated to Hermitcraft later.

I’ve been thinking about some attention my space opera au posts have and I feel I should clarify, space opera au has shipping.

It was planned as a treebark au from the start last year in [redacted], and I have tagged posts about them as treebark because it was on topic. But since the last explanatory asks i’ve answered don’t really dip into the topic, it would be incorrect of me to tag it as such and clog the treebark tag, but at the same time it leaves people unaware.

Basically, space opera au is a shipping, treebark-centric au, so feel free to block ‘#space opera au’ if necessary. Felt the need to leave this clear just in case.
