I mean... I guess that means you could homo-erotically patch up his wound right after.
If he manages it before I do I'll just be pissed so.

ngl but I can hear the voices of the canon characters you play when I read your threads with others :> So yeah, very excellent portrayal.
AUGH. THAT'S SO NICE????? AND INSANELY GRATIFYING TO HEAR.

What is something about my portrayal[s] that sticks out?
Example being; my muses ticks they have, the way they talk, etcetera.

" Ach, I know I know. 'S a gamble every time, I just happen ta lose this time 'round. " Scotty frowned. Leonard didn't need to know just how much the engineer listened. He didn't need to know that McCoy's bitching and moaning was on constant repeat, screaming at him the moment he was pulled from the Jenolan Transporter Buffer.
" Gracefully Len? You flatter an old man. "
" Transporter malfunction. Pattern buffer went all tospy on me. 'M fine, all bits accounted for. Just... Got a wee bit older. "
Filthy liar. That's what repeated in the back of his head. But what other choice did he really have? He couldn't just tell the doctor he's from the future and and he's barely hanging on because everyone he's ever loved, Bones included, was long dead.
" I'm figurin' out how ta fix it, if it's any less on yer mind Len. 'M not stuck as an old bag. And, aye, the mustache was in fact a choice... Dinnae tell me ye don't like it- "

"Well, that's a given." The tricorder says he's perfectly fine - healthy as a horse, just... exactly as he looks. Older than he ought to be. But McCoy has never put as much stock in technology as in his own two hands, no matter how much he may praise medical advancements. He feels for his pulse, lifts an eyelid, turns Scotty's head this way and that with intense scrutiny.
"Try me anyhow. You know I'll go crazy otherwise. But first tell me if the facial hair's part of the problem or a deliberate choice."

He really was a bit of a shaking dog in this time wasn't he? Not to say he wasn't the last time Scotty saw him, but he had calmed just a touch as the years went on.
God. he missed that. " You'd be correct. "
The engineer took a breath and prepared to lie through his teeth.
" Just a bit of a transporter issue laddy, nothin' too serious. I may have aged like some fruit left out in the grass, but my mind's still sharp as ever. I just have ta figure out a solution ta fix it. "
The engineer's panic immediately washed away, replaced with an arguably worse expression: Fatherly adoration. Of course that was what caught the boy's attention. Never mind that fact that the man aged 30 or so years overnight, never mind that his eyes were red and puffy. No. He'd grown a mustache.
Oh man, this was going to be harder than Scotty had originally thought.
" Hah- Aye lad, I have. Wha'dya think? It suit me at all ? "

There he was, in all his mad as hornets glory. If Scotty wasn't so paralyzed by the whole situation, he might've just started crying right there. In some twisted emotional roller coaster, he's found he's sorely missed the doctor furiously fretting over him.
Well that, and other things. He just... Well he missed McCoy as he was.
" Yer gonna hate the answer Len, I promise ye that. "
Well, good, that makes his job easier. Heâs already gone back to his desk to get a tricorder, prepared in advance to be met with some fresh kind of bullshit.
Not that he really needs a scanner to determine something is, in fact, most definitely wrong, not when the diagnosis only takes a glance. Itâs like the manâs aged thirty years in a day.
âMy god,â McCoy stops, stock-still and staring for only a beat before heâs back in motion, hovering nearby like a gnat with scanner in hand. Heâd worry that itâs something akin to what theyâd run into before, that Scottyâs already on his way to aging right to death, but heâs not that stupid - he wouldâve gone to sickbay, not hidden himself away. âWhat happened to you?â

Christ.
Well Scotty had two options, he could let the boy in and just, lie like a dog, or tell him to come back later and miss his one chance to see the young man again.
The next sound was the click of the lock on the door.
" No no, yer fine son. Come on in. Just- Dinnae be too startled, aye? "

' Oh. ' Scotty thought. Now that's a voice he hasn't heard in who knows how long... That's his boy. That's his Sean, still a wee ensign...
Yeah. Alright, he's- He's got this. He's not going to open the door, and frankly he's going to panic as he just stares at it like a frightened animal.
" Aye lad! Just uh- Just dealin' with a bit of a technical issue! Did ye need me fer something ? "

At the very least, he's glad he seemed to appear in his old quarters..
His uh, his duty shirt does not fit anymore though. Oh well, at least if anyone asks he can at least pretend he's some ambassador they picked up...

Top 5 fastest ways to put the fear of god in Scotty. Number one? Be Leonard Horatio McCoy. Number two? Use his whole first name. Needless to say, the old man unlocked the door and sat on his bed, definitely not missing starfleet's rough beds.
The dread has crept in, full force anyways.
" Door's open Len. "
Top ten words you should never use around your resident paranoiac-turned-physician. Number four: Situation. Every day on this ship thereâs a goddamn Situation and not a single one is ever good.
Thereâs a solid couple seconds worth of pause.
ââŚOpen the door or Iâm using the medical override, Montgomery.â
