“Provided that nothing like useful knowledge could be gained from them, provided they were all story and no reflection, she had never any objection to books at all.” -Northanger Abbey, of Catherine Morland, -Jane Austen- . Inspired by @theaustenite my books by and about Jane Austen... except there are three more that missed the picture 🙄 (2 manners/etiquette and her letters) #janeausten #thisjaneaustenlife #austenite #booknookstagram #becauseofreading #libraryofinstagram #teaandbooks #simplejoys #aslowmoment #ofquietmoments #distractionsandinspiration #morningslikethese #mynestandburrow #hyggehome #homeisacupoftea #bookworm #bibliophile #curlupwithagoodbook #igreads #distractionsandinapirations #bookish #booknerd #booksandtea #bookishlifestyle #bookstagramit #janeaustenbooks #teasource #pistachioshortbreadtea

A few tastes of winter mixed within the autumn months have us feeling like the seasons are confused. But at least we’ve had a chance to refresh our winter driving skills before it settles in for the long haul. . No snow in the foreseeable forecast means time to replace the kindling already used.

Northern Bedstraw (Galium boreale) . These teeny-tiny flowers are sweetly scented as are their stems when crushed. Once used in grass stuffed mattresses, I too have been tempted to stuff them in my bed. . Have just been waiting for these blossoms in order to join in with #ihavethisthingfortinyflowers

When things seem to be changing too quickly and the flowers fade before you can blink, slow down by spending more time out of doors. Even if it means taking your work outside or giving priority to outside tasks. Rest in it. Absorb it.

We said goodbye to the “crabby” crabapple trees today. They were dropping their petals, otherwise I might not have agreed. I think I will spend the evening lost in a book, with a cuppa (it’s cooling off outside), smelling the last of those fragrant blossoms.

Secret’s of Shakespeare’s Grave by Deron R. Hicks Great middle school book and light read if you're older. Read this one and you'll want to read the sequel as well. Looking forward to more from this author.
