i feel like there’s something about it that i can’t quite put my finger on that gives me pause. like no amount of drag-ifying herself is going to gain her true respectability i think because drag is only seen as progressive and interesting and bold when it’s done by men (because misogyny), and I wonder if that crowd will ever truly accept her and praise her or if they’re going to accuse her of like “appropriating drag culture” or something.
