the thing is, the thing is that whatever is wrong with Dick Grayson is Bruce’s fault, but everything good about Dick Grayson is also Bruce’s fault

ALSO. also the thing with dick and bruce, right? is that bruce was all dick had. is that tim and cass and damian all had barriers. all had other adults to go to and have parental attachments to, tim even had a dad for most of when he knew bruce. dick couldn’t do what they did, it was him and bruce and alfred who would always be on bruce’s side when it comes down to it, in his inaction or nothing else, and literally nobody else. so of course this eight year old will grow up impacted so much by his unfit guardian, there was nobody else.
