i saw ur post on both the brothers & king dice being based off black folks, so i was wondering if you personally felt like any other characters were? super curious to hear your answer since i loved the original post!

I know Wheezy is based off of Cab Calloway because of his facial expressions, mostly with this screen

As for just straight up Headcanons I've based on research and just observing ?

Cagney Carnation: I feel as if Cagney is afro-brazillian because his theme, Floral Fury, is samba, which is music that originated within black brazillian communities

Ribby and Croaks: After watching their episode Cuphead show, I figured Ribby and Croaks were also based off of the Nicholas Brothers, Harold and Fayard, they're one tall brother, one short brother, who can sing and dance but also argue, so I headcanon them as black too

Ms Chalice: I feel as if Ms Chalice was based off of Dorthy Dandridge, based on the fact that she was a known to be around the Nicholas Brothers and even married one, so with me thinking that Cuphead and Mugman were based off of Harold and Fayard, it would only make sense. Plus the fact that she can sing and tap dance, much like Dorothy Dandridge, it would be a perfect fit if Ms. Chalice was black too.

I've got a lot more and I'd be glad to share them all but these are all the ones that I could fit right now
